Many people must have seen and experienced the Crucifixion of Christ: the roman soldiers, Jews from the Sanhedran; the 2 thieves on their crosses; Mary, his Mother, Mary the wife of Clopas and Mary Magdalene and John the beloved disciple. Then of course we know that Joseph of Arimathea, was a disciple of Jesus (a secret one) and Nicodemus who joined Joseph in taking the body of Jesus to Joseph’s family tomb.

All of those, and maybe more, would attest to Jesus’ crucifixion, but even believers and unbelievers alike would have said, “he’s dead.  We saw him beaten, nailed to the cross, watched them come to him to break his legs to hasten heart attack, then, because they found him to be dead, they stuck a spear into this ribs and into his heart; and from that wound poured water and blood from the pericardium sack, showing he’s died.

And they said, they all said: He’ll never come back from that horrible death and that sealed grave -but He Did! Today we’ll look at some of the proofs that have stood for 2,000 years.

So far, God has blessed Israelite. Under Joshua we’ve seen miracles like backing up of Jordan from flood stage to dry land so 2,000,000 could cross over. God gave them a place to live temporarily – Gilgal – “a circle of stones” from the stones of the Jordan.  Later it would be the place where god took Elijah to heaven in a fiery chariot. Another miracle was Jericho, the great walled city, first they encountered in Promise Land.  Now time to move into the new land and take what God had promised.
