The leaves are starting to change colors and there’s a chill in the air. What’s one thing to look forward to with the turn of the seasons? Another set of awesome Yale University Art Gallery covers by some of the most creative and interesting designers and graphic artists around the world. This Fall, international design super-center Hort lent their tremendous talents to creating a unique still life that mirrors and subverts traditional Autumnal displays. It’s an excellent addition to the Art Gallery Calendar Cover series!

The Athens International Film Festival in Athens, Greece wrapped up last week. And we were delighted to have been asked to help with their publicity efforts this year. Above is the Gluekit design that the planning committee used for promoting this year’s festival– we love the bright pink of the background they chose, the vivid blue of the iris, and the simple shapes representing the audience and director’s gaze. With so many eyes peeled for the most interesting new  films, we though this was a really fitting poster.

We really enjoyed working on this piece, especially because we were able to use some of our favorite graphic elements: silohuettes, handmade text and doodles, speech bubbles, pushpins, sticky notes, and some of our own travel snapshots!

One of New York’s most fabulous institutions, New York Magazine, celebrates its fortieth anniversary this week! For their anniversary issue, Gluekit created a collage of some of the people who’ve helped shape New York over the last four decades. Our favorites included Warhol, Jackie O, and that young-looking Seinfeld front and center. Here’s to another forty years!

Turns out celebrities and famous past residents don’t actually raise the value of a home. Who knew!?

The Make Some Noise tote by Wyeth Hansen was recently featured in the UK’s Creative Arts magazine and looked absolutely sizzling!

The totes are available now from Part of It ($20). The same design on a classic white tee is $28. A portion of the profits from both products has been designated by Wyeth to go to the Fresno Arts Council.
