I made the most out of garden cucumbers this year. There was a jar of cucumber horseradish dipping sauce in my fridge all summer. We dunked gluten free jalapeno cheddar corn fritters in it, poured it over gluten free spicy chicken gyros, doused salads in it and dipped various deep fried goodies in it. Recently I made up some deep fried glutenlessly delicious green beans and those were great dipped in my cucumber horseradish sauce. I figured you all might want the recipe so I’m sharing…

I’ll admit I was a tad bit skeptical when I first thought I’d try making these gluten free. I wasn’t so sure I’d end up with just the right crunch and just the right soft chewy parts. What I ended up with a plateful of [...]

And bully for me, I did. My gluten free taco salad doesn’t taste any different than it did when it was full of gluten. It’s spicy, sweet, crunchy, tangy, zesty and [...]

If you happen to live in California and have heard of Diccico’s Italian Restaurant you might now want to order from their gluten free menu. I was extremely dissapointed to discover that their gluten free pizza is a frozen variety that I can buy in the grocery store.
This amazing restaurant makes their own pasta when it comes to the gluten full kind but not when it comes to the gluten free kind. The Diccico’s of Merced websites states that their food is “fresh” but [...]

I have tried several brands of gluten free pasta. I’ve attempted pasta salad, pasta parmesan, spaghetti, bow tie pasta and tortellini. Every single one of them sucks. My first attempt resulted in pasta that disintegrated in the boiling water. Mush. I figured I’d overcooked it so I tried again cooking it for less time. It still turned to mush.
The other day I tried another brand and cooked it even less. the result was pasta that resembled plastic. So I threw it back in a pot [...]

There are some things you just don’t mess with. Sure you can add Brie and apples to a grilled cheese once in a while but there are times when the plain old classic sandwich is all you need and want. If you’re a grilled cheese lover there’s nothing wrong with sticking to what you know and love and that’s what I did with Udi’s Millet and Chia bread. I stuck to the classics and as it turns out this gluten free sandwich was delicious!!
