Why do we not have those fuel cell cars for sale here in the United States? Honda has the Clarity for lease in California. Force the oil companies to install one pump per station and we end all our problems of the economy, global pollution and jobs.

Great virtual interview, especially the end, I cannot wait this spring (Geneva ?) to have more news of the future Opel electric car.

Perhaps CP Forster was right in 2007 when he declared that Opel will have an E-car for 2010 in Auto-Moto und Sport.

One question : is the picture above copyrighted ? In other words, may use it in my own blog ?

Thanks this may be the confirmation that my next new car will be an E-Opel.
What about an electric Spark ?

Well this not not a word game.

Look at the yesterday edition of the LA Times : a declaration friom Troy Clarke.
Source :
http://www.latimes.com/classified/au...,4008125.story

"We've been thinking about dipping our toe into this market for a while now," said Troy Clarke, GM's president of North America. He predicts that the Spark, which will go on sale in Europe next year prior to coming stateside in 2011, could be a big success.

"It could be a 90,000 or more volume vehicle," he said, adding that the company could consider an electric version."

If there is an Voltec version of the Spark, IMHO it could seriously compete with the mini E or the Smart ED.
Well thanks for this new Voltec product, for a moment I thought I would fell for this Caddy instead of the Volt but I think that the Caddy is more a niche product than a practical one.

The new pictures of the production Volt on the GM media site (especially the one with the flowers in the trunk ) made me go back to the reality but what a nice car this Converj, perhaps as a second car in my other life ?

I am still waiting for a date when the Volt or a Voltec product will be in the showrooms in Europe.

Best wishes for 2009. JC J.

Thanks for your answer, I'm convinced through my own experience that some governments need some education in this domain.

Furthermore, there should be an European Union initiative to promote such new propulsion systems in a large number of countries.
