Ticks: Wood ticks feed on animals and people using the hypostome structure in their mouths. Another special body part they have is the scutum, which is a shield protecting their outer body. The scutum is the reason it is so difficult to crush a tick. You can spray Gnat Armor on your pants, shoes to keep ticks off of you and you can put Gnat Armor on your pets and your children its safe for all, and if you find an embedded tick you can use Gnat Armor and a Q-tip to remove it, Dip Q-tip in bottle of Gnat Armor place good amount on and around tick, work Q-tip back and forth on tick , reapply as necessary tick will eventually come out and be on Q-tip, then burn end with tick on it over sink. Its not uncommon for hikers, your children and pets to return from playing outside to find wood ticks attached to their skin. Ticks find humans and other mammals, because they can detect carbon dioxide produced during exhalation. You can use Gnat Armor spray to keep them away, but if you find one attached use some on a Q-tip and work It back and forth Applying GnatArmor as needed till the tick comes off then just burn the end of Q-tip with the tick on it, put out with water. I like to walk my dog Rocky, and before we go outside I spray gnatArmor on my hands and rub it on him to keep the fleas ticks and mosquitoes off him, I don't use any other chemicals on him and hes the most healthy dog I have ever had. The yellow flies are the worst and its very effective against them. I wouldn't put poison on my self so why would you put it on your pets.
