First of all, the old design had lasted me for almost 3 years and I still have some emotional attachment to it. So I didn’t want to change themes just for the sake of changing themes. I wanted to make a leap forward.

Over the past few months I realized that I was in danger of getting left behind in terms of mobile technology. So I started to study more about designing websites for mobile devices, got myself an iPhone 4S, and tried to catch up.

Although there is way too much hype on mobile marketing, I do understand that it is THE future. As a result my blog is now 100% mobile-friendly.

If you are reading this through a mobile phone, you already know what I mean. If you are on a web browser on your computer, resize this screen as small as possible to see the changes.

Here’s how my blog looks like on my iPhone:

The focus here is not only about readability but also to get optin leads directly from mobile users. That’s why we have such a prominent optin form that works really well for mobile.

Using the awesome StudioPress ‘Generate’ WordPress theme, I have a ‘responsive’ blog design that will match your mobile phone and tablet devices.

And using the awesome WordPress app, I wrote this blog post completely from my iPhone!

So I did manage to catch up a little bit:)

But the bigger challenges lie just around the corner. By the end of this year I want to make all my websites mobile-compatible and even launch a native iOS / Android app for JomNiaga and LinkTrackr.

Imagine getting new sales notification on your mobile phone, or being able to scan and forward QR codes of your affiliate link to your friends!

The possibilities are endless. I may have been slow to figure out mobile marketing, but better late than never!

1. Rahsia Jerawat Terbongkar

When Dr Haseenah attended our first coaching session, I could already tell that she very determined and focused on what she wanted to achieve.

In his first 7 days Affendy made more than RM3,100++ in net profit from the launch of his ebook. A really good accomplishment for his first product, and I’m sure it will reach the five figure mark very soon.

3. Seni SEO

Firdaus approached me for personal coaching, it was clear he had some ideas but was confused on how to start, due to information overload.

We managed to narrow down his options and help him produce his first ebook, Seni SEO.

It was launched through Flarebiz network so I’m not sure how we’ll he’s doing, but once he’s back from his honeymoon we’ll be meeting for our third session to discuss how we can generate more sales for it by bringing the product into JomNiaga (we now have 4000 affiliates).

Fact: If you want to make money online in Malaysia, sell in Bahasa Melayu.

This idea is reinforced recently when I took a look at my Google Adwords data, in which I put up simple ads for JomNiaga to get more user registrations. Although the entire site is still in English at the moment, you can clearly see that the ads in Bahasa Melayu receive the best CTR, conversions and cost per conversion.

Once we’ve implemented the BM language for the site, I’m pretty sure the conversions will increase dramatically.

This is why this year I decided to stop doing our seminars in English, and our company has been shifting to the BM medium. Most of my recent products for Malaysia have also been fully in BM.

If you grew up speaking English and living in urban areas like me, you may think that English is the way to go. But the reality is that the English speaking community in Malaysia is still small, centered in highly competitive urban areas, and is difficult to make money online in Malaysia from the English market alone.

Plus, as I mentioned in my post about Internet marketing in Malaysia, these two markets cannot always be served at the same time so you have to choose one.
