Watch 2000 Olympics Gold Medal video

It’s always exciting to watch the Olympics, isn’t it? Our guest in this episode, Laura Wilkinson, created one of the most memorable moments in Olympic history. Beating what many said were impossible odds in one of the biggest upsets in Olympic history, Laura, starting in eighth place and with a broken foot, came from behind to win the 2000 Olympic platform diving gold medal!

God is now using Laura to empower others, through speaking engagements, continued involvement in the U.S. Diving Program, and building a world-class training facility near The Woodlands, Texas. You’ll enjoy her thoughts on life as a world-class athlete, including insight into how to best guide a child down the path God might have for them (athletics or elsewhere).

We welcome you to the new, shorter podcast format and improved website at GodsMac.com! We’ve taken some time to re-focus the mission of the podcast, and believe that it will be a service that you’ll get much more out of. We’ve brought the first 54 episodes over to the new site as well, in case you are new to the podcast. Most of the previous episodes last close to / over 1 hour. It’s our mission to provide more frequent episodes, with a goal of keeping each to 10-15 minutes in length!

One of the advantages of moving to a new site (powered by WordPress), is to allow commenting and interaction. You’ll notice there aren’t any comments below each of the previous episodes, but we’d love to start hearing from you and becoming more of a community. It’s been a WHILE, but it is so good to be back! Brandon Riley joins us (starts at 30:30) on the podcast, and we discuss his creative talents and how God is using them in Sugar Land, Texas. It was refreshing to hear Brandon’s heart for youth, and also that he has such great support from his church to do many creative things for the church body and the youth at the same time.
