What is Interjection?

An interjection is a word or a phrase witch expresses some sudden feelings or emotions like anger, joy, surprise, etc. So any word or phrase used as a sudden exclamation can be called an interjection. An interjection is always followed by a sign of exclamation mark. (!)

A word that expresses sudden feelings or emotions of happiness and sadness is called interjection. Interjection may express joy, grief, surprise, and approval. An interjection is not grammatically related to other words in a sentence but also they are just feeling and emotions.

Some important interjections are the following.

Hurrah!, Huzza!, By Jove! Oh!, Alas!, Alack!, Ah!, Woe is me! My lord!Ha!, HA!Well done!

Words like Hurrah, Alas, Ah, Hush, and Bravo are called interjections. In order to express joy the words like hurrah! and Huzzah! is used. In order to express grief the word Alas! is used. In order to express surprise the words like Ha! and What! are used. In order to express approval the word Bravo! is used.

2. The preposition

A preposition is a word that shows a relation between a person and things in a sentence. The preposition relates a noun to another noun. The preposition may join a noun to an adjective. The preposition relates a noun to a verb.

Place of the preposition

A preposition usually comes before its object but sometimes it comes after its object. When the object is related pronoun prepositions are used at the end.When the object is Interrogative pronoun the preposition is used at the end.

Classes of prepositions

I. Compound prepositions

When a preposition is formed by prefixing a preposition is called compound preposition.

II. Phrase prepositions

Phrase prepositions are a group of words used as a single preposition is called phrase preposition.

3. The article

Articles are not a separate part of speech. They are adjectives as they are used to qualify some noun or pronoun. Some people deal with articles as a separate part of speech. These are not separate parts of speech but also these are adjectives because they are used to qualify the noun and pronoun.

Kinds of Articles

There are two kinds of articles.

1. Definite Articles

The is the definite article as it refers to a particular person or thing.

2. Indefinite Article

A and An are indefinite articles as they refer to common nouns in singular.

In this article, I have explained the use of although -- yet with examples and exercise. I have also given the structure and sentences at the end of the article.

Use of Although --- Yet

The sentence in which although and yet is used has two parts. The first part is started with 'although' and the second part of the sentence started with 'Yet'. Both parts have their separate subject, verb, and object. If we although in the first part of a sentence, Yet is used in the second part of the sentence. we can not use But if we use although in the first part of the sentence. If we do not use yet then the sentence will be correct but if we but after although then, the sentence will be wrong.

In this article, I have explained the use of Lest --- Should with examples and exercise. Lest always followed by should and the first form of the verb is used after should. I have given the sentence with Urdu so that students can understand easily.

The Use of Lest ---- Should

(kahanhi asa na ho k)

Lest always followed by should in a sentence.The sentence in which Lest --- Should is used, the first part of the sentence is imperative. The second part starts with 'Lest'. After 'lest' the subject is used and then should is used after the subject. The first form of the verb is used after should and at the end of the sentence, the object is used.

In this article, I have explained the usage of would that and I wish with examples. I have also given the exercise at the end of the article. Would that is used when we express the wish and desire. The past perfect tense is used in these sentences.

The use of would that and I wish

The sentences in which would that is used belong to the past tense. They translated in the past perfect tense. At the start of the sentence we use would that or I wish. We can use 'were' as helping instead of 'had' in the sentences in which 'would that' is used.

I want to seek the help of your esteemed daily “The Nation” to call the attention of the higher authorities as well as that of the public to a very gave problem. The columns of your influential and widespread newspapers are the most suitable place for it. In the recent past, this problem has assumed a very serious turn. It demands immediate attention from the Government. It is the problem of power failure.

The problem is that of power Failure. Electricity supply in rural areas as well in the urban areas is very unsatisfactory. The public is feeling much disturbed owing to frequent load shedding. Electricity in homes as well as in industrial units is very important. The livelihood of most of the people depends on cheaper electric supply. In case of power failure or load shedding, the public has to face miserable plight. Moreover, the electric poles do not safely carry electric wires. Sometimes the electric poles fall down because of heavy storms. As a result, the electric supply is suspended. The employees in the electric department are not efficient. They cannot do the repair work properly. Moreover, the rates of electricity are regularly increased. The entire situation is very pinching. In short, the conditions are very hopeless.

I would like to put forward the following suggestions in this connection. Firstly, electricity should be restored on a permanent basis. Secondly, new dams should be built as soon as possible. Thirdly, the employees in this department should be made responsible, dutiful, and alert. Fourthly, the basis of the electric poles should be cemented. Fifthly, the rates of electricity should not be raised. Sixthly, media can play an important role in creating awareness in the public. The public should try to save energy resources.

We hope the Government and the high authorities will take an immediate step to solve the problem and redress our grievances.

Village life offers a simple picture of life. A pure village is situated in remote areas of the country. It is a peaceful and silent place. It consists of unpaved paths and streets. Its houses are made of mud. However, now villagers have started to make their houses of bricks. Village people have simple habits. They are peace-loving citizens. They are content with their joys and sorrows.

Village life is very peaceful and full of natural beauty. There are green, trees, streams and rivers in the village. The blossoming flowers, fragrant air, the rising and setting sun all leave a healthy influence of the health of villagers. They feel happy in the company of singing birds and murmuring water. They enjoy long walks in open fields, valleys, and on the banks of rivers.

The village people enjoy a happy life in every season. In the summer, they rest under shady trees; they take a bath in cool water. They live in the airy mud houses which remain cold inspire of the prevailing heat of the sun. Summer nights in the village are really very pleasant. The people lie in the open and cool breeze lulls them to sleep. They are refreshed by a sound sleep.

In winter, the village people bask in the sun sitting or working in the open fields. The rainy season is very pleasant in the village,. They villagers bath in the showers of rain. Children play games in the water. The birds chirp in fruit-laden trees. The whole atmosphere looks fresh and charming.

Village life is full of struggle and hardworking. The villagers are very hard-working people. Their main occupation is agriculture. They get up early in the morning, take out their ploughs and pair of oxen and go to their fields. All-day long they work very hard in their fields. Some of them work in the fields. Of big farmers, while some others do the work of masons and laborers? Even children are of great use. They add a little to the income of the family. Women do household work like cooking, washing, and grinding of corn, etc. In the evening the villagers sit in the “Chopal” and gossip round the Hukkah. They talk about their local problems. Sometimes they play on flute and enjoy themselves with its tunes.

The village people are religious minded. They say the prayers regularly. They keep fast in spite of their hard life. They celebrate fairs and religious events with zeal and zest.

The village people play very simple but healthy games. Kabaddi, wrestling, races, football, volleyball are the games generally played in villages. These games bring pleasure and remove dullness from their lives. Fairs, festivals, and remove dullness form their lives. Fairs, festivals, and marriages are their special occasions of rejoicing, merrymaking, dancing, and singing

The village people eat pure and wholesome food. The air is fresh and pure. There is no smoke from factories and mills. Fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, milk, and butter are available there. So, they enjoy good health and live longer.

The village life, however, is not without its drawbacks. Stagnant water surrounds every village. It becomes a breeding spot for flies, mosquitoes, and other insects that spread diseases. Then they don not have advanced medical facilities. Education is also not very common in the villages. So, the majority of the people living in the villages are uneducated, ignorant, and superstitious. They cannot keep pace with the changing trends of life.

Pakistan is an agricultural country. Most of its population lives in the villages. The farmers are the backbone of Pakistan. So, the government should look after the interest of the farmers. They should be provided with all the basic facilities of life. If we want to see Pakistan a beautiful country, we have to save the village and we should give equal rights to the village people.

The library is a part and parcel of every college. It is in reality a storehouse of knowledge. Well-stocked books of all types. The books of literary, scientific, historical, political-religious, and social are available in the library. We also find books on fiction, ar, painting, and music in the library. Newspapers and magazines are also available in the library. So, a library is a great place for learning. A good library is very important for teachers and students in order to improve knowledge. They can increase their knowledge by reading in the library during their free time. They read books from the library.

We are very fortunate to have a good library in our college. It is well stocked with books, magazines, and periodicals, etc. There are nearly 30,000 books on all subjects. Books have been arranged nearly in proper shelves and almirahs. The books have been arranged according to their subjects. Students can find any book easily. They can go to the library, select a book of their choice, and get it issued.

The library in our college is housed in a separate block of the college. There are several rooms in the library A room is allotted to the reference books. These books cannot be taken home. Students study form them in the library and take notes from them. Another room is meant for teachers. A fairly big room is attached to the library. Then there is a small room where a very large table is placed. This is the reading room

There are so many newspapers and magazines which are arranged properly in this tale. Students sit their choice. There is a news-board also on which the important news of the day is written. Our learned librarian also writes here thought of the day. A fairly big room is attached to the library. The library assistant issues books to the students.

A good librarian is also very necessary. The librarian of our college is a well-read person. He knows the nature of most of the writers and their books. He helps students who find difficulty in finding books.. Our teachers also help the students in the selection of books. under their guidance, the students develop a taste for the selection of good books.

All the students of our college have been issued a library card. Each student can get two books issued on this card at one time. These books are issued for fifteen days. If a student does not return a book on the due date, he is fined. If the books are torn or misshaped, the students are directed to replace the books. Library security is received from every student for this purpose. There are many textbooks also in our library. These are of great help to poor students. The students who cannot afford to purchase these books can get these books issued and study at their homes.

All the students of our college are proud of our college library. In our free periods, we rush to it and read magazines and useful books. The pleasure of reading books is a strange and novel experience of life.a

Hostel life is a life of understanding and accommodation. When a student enters a hostel for the first time, he finds himself among strangers. There he learns to make new friends. he also learns to face those whom he does not feel fit for his company. Students come to live in hostel from various places in the country. Each student brings his own culture, traditions, and language with him. The students belong to different families having different temperaments backgrounds and habits. When the students mix together, they try to imitate the good manners of one another. In this way, they polish their habits and manners.

The common room of the hostel has an attraction of its own. Boarders enjoy playing indoor games like table tennis, carom, ludo, etc. Then there are annual contests and competitions, among the hostel students. Prize distribution functions are held every year to award the prizes to the boarders who have shown brilliant performance in various fields of hostel life.

Hostel life has its disadvantages also. The hostel students misuse their independence. Some waste their money on gambling and drinking. They become careless about their studies because they have no checks in hostels and some involve in negative activities.

Some hostels are overcrowded and do not provide healthy and comfortable.living. They do not concentrate on their studies due to crowded rooms. Sometimes the roommates having different temperaments fail to compromise with one another.

Our political parties also misuse the students especially the boarders. They form parties and groups. The political parties provide them weapons. They give them shelter. The students write down the relevant material on small chits, rulers, hands, shirts, etc. Secondly, the students also give bribe to the superintendent for coping in examination halls. In this way, they purchase the staff of the examiners. Thirdly, some students belong to rich families. They even try to follow the answer sheets after the examination is over. They use their families’ influence and blackmail the staff of the examination. In this way, they use unfair and illegal methods.

The use of unfair means is cruel to hard-working and competent students. Such students as employ unfair means want to pass by hook or by crook. They are corrupt and they will indulge in corruption even after getting jobs. In short, the conditions are too hopeless to be expressed in words.

I would like to put the following suggestions in this connection. Firstly, sudden raids should be made at the examination halls. Secondly, those students who employ unfair means should be declared eligible forever and ever. Thirdly, those examiners who are found involved in corruption should be suspended from their jobs,. Fourthly, tight security should be arranged in the examination halls. It is said that if you want to destroy any nation, corrupt their examination system. The use of Few, A Few, The Few

Introduction

Few, A few, and The Few are quantifiers and describes the number or quantity of something. The general meaning of all these is small numbers. Few, A Few, and The Few are used with plural countable nouns. Few( without an article) is a quantifier and is used with a very small number of something or countable nouns. A few is also a quantifier and used with small countable nouns or something. The Few is used with specific or definite countable nouns or something.

The use of Few ( Hardly Any or Negative connotation)

Few is a quantifier and used with countable nouns which are in very small numbers. Few have a negative meaning. It means that the number of something is equal to nothing or equal to negative.
Few describes a very small number of things. Few is equal to little which is used with uncountable nouns. The difference between Few and little is that Few is used with countable nouns and Little is with uncountable nouns.

Introduction

'With a view to' is used in those sentences in which we do something for some reason. The first form + ing is used after' with a view to'.' The Use of 'Look forward to'

'Look forward to' is used in the sentence in which someone is waiting for happening something. The method of translation of such a sentence is that Look forward is used after the Subject according to tense. After ' to' (the main verb + ing) of the next part of the sentence is used. Look forward means that something will happen and you are waiting for it. If the second verb has a separate subject then use the objective form of the object, not subjective form.

Introduction

About to and going to is used in the sentence in which an action is going to happen. We can say that 'about to' and' going to' is used when an action is happening without any delay or very soon.
