Here is how to get your dvd or cd printed with your own logo or artwork. So that every time you need a dvd or cd to send to a customer with one of material you can just grab a blank we have specially prepared for you.

We have lots of jobs lately where companies, organisations and individuals need blank CD’s and DVD’s with their logos or artwork on the disc.

Procedure is …

1) Work out how many discs you want copied. While proces are reasonable the more discs you copy the cheaper per disc. Enter these in your email.

2) Sketch out the text to appear at the top, left, right, and bottom of your CD and note that in your email.

3) Attach any pictures or logos you need on your disc. These should be JPEGS and be of a quality suitable for printing.

4) Once we get all of this, and we have agreed on price you will receive your digital proof you will have the opportunity to approve the design before having the CDs or DVD’s printed.

If you want something printed on the face of the disc then you need to consider how much surface coverage you will achieve. Printing believe it or not the most expensive part of the duplication process due to the cost of the ink. We usually have prices for part coverage of the disk surface or full coverage. There is usually around 20 cents difference between the two.

Your artwork can be supplied complete to our specifications or if it is not too detailed you can just send us images in JPEG form of 300 dpi plus the text you want on the disc.

How to Copy Part of a DVD to a DVD or to a Video file for YouTube

Sometimes when looking at your copy of your wedding dvd, family dvd, or your promotional dvd you want to grab a portion of it to be lifted off and copied to another one or perhaps into a video file you can use on YouTube, Vimeo, FaceBook or similar.

It’s difficult to achieve because the video footage on the DVD that you need to copy is encoded in a format that only the DVD player understands. To grab the portion of the video you want you need to:

Use special software that allows you to select the portion of the disc you want to copy and export it in a format that YouTube and other video sharing sites understand.
Play the DVD on the screen of your computer and use special screen capture software to “film” the portion you want as it plays on your computer screen.

Gold Coast Disc Copy has special equipment that can do this for you.

If you send the disc you want the part copied from to us we can do the job for you in the video format you require. Just let us know:

The start time and end time or description of exactly the piece you want copied
What you are going to use the footage for and where you are going to upload it to or copy it to
How many copies of it you want if you want it recorded on to another DVD via duplication.

We have had a few jobs lately where someone has dutifully prepared a Powerpoint presentation with all of their photos, even added a sound track but they want it on a DVD.

Most people are surprised how cheap it is to get a CD or DVD bulk copied. Usually you can get a disc delivered to your customer for well under $3 a disc. It doesnt have to be expensive to prepare the DVD either. Sit in front of a digital video camera and tell your story. You can get one for under $5oo these days. If you cant speak off the cuff then get a list of questions customers usually ask and have someone interview you by asking the questions.

Just finished a job for an event that is still going!
