Argyle golf shirts may get a bad wrap off the course. In fact, most golf fashion will evoke stares and sour looks if you step off the links and dare to wander into the real world with it still on your back. Knickers, beanies, sweater vests–these clothes have a certain nineteenth century charm to them, sure, but this is after all the twenty-first century.

One friend of mine makes it his duty to inform you whether or not you're wearing appropriate attire off the course. Dare to wear a collared polo shirt in front of him in a public place, plaid, argyle, or plain colored, and he will promptly let you know that you are wearing a golf shirt. He doesn't say it in a nice way either. It's as if he wants you to change right then and there. The funny thing is, he is a golf course design architect. The man's whole wardrobe consists of golf shirts and sweater vests.

Unlike him, however, we should not be ashamed of our fashion sense. If we dare to wear argyle golf shirts out to a restaurant or to the ballgame, it's sort of a statement of our allegiance to the game of golf. Just as football fans wear the jersey of their favorite running back, or hockey lovers don the sweater of their beloved defenseman, golf fans should be able to wear their golf gear without fear.

It's not like golf clothes are cheap. Most golf shirts, whether they're made by Nike, Tommy Bahamas, Izod, Polo, or any other manufacturer, are expensive and nicely made. Golf slacks can be fashion forward, a handsome pair of khakis with pleats and athletic lines. And golf caps–maybe we can leave them at home when we take the little lady out to dinner and a movie.

If all golfers wore their argyle golf shirts, sweater vests, and country club embroidered pullovers out and about, we could be more noticeable to each other. Think about it. It would be a great way to meet fellow golfers, new friends, and new playing partners.

For a majority of golfers, golf cart parts are something that are rarely thought about since the golf course takes care of them. However, if you own your own, or operate them for a golf course, knowing where you can get the best deals on golf cart parts may be something you want to know about.

Some folks own golf carts for the convenience of traveling around their property or for transporting small items from one area of their yard to another. Those living on farms find them useful in helping them reach out of the way buildings without having to drive their vehicles or other heavy equipment. Many stock a few golf cart parts for emergency breakdowns, but beyond the typical tires and batteries, it is difficult to predict which part is going to break next.

Whether your golf cart is gas powered or battery operated, you will always have a need for tires. Most of them are made of soft rubber and tend to wear down quickly, even more so if frequently operated on pavement or gravel. Tires are one of the most common golf cart parts kept as spares in homes that own them.

Electric Carts Require More Expensive Parts

Gas powered golf carts are similar to a go-cart and basic engine parts, such as spark plugs, fuel filter and oil filter are usually kept on hand. Electric carts, requiring a large deep cycle battery have different types of parts that can be expensive. Chargers are usually maintained in your garage or other buildings and the cart is plugged in daily, however switches to control the cart's power are some of the golf cart parts you may want to keep on hand.

Keeping an electric motor operating in a wet climate can be a challenge and keeping it clean and dry can prevent the need for additional golf cart parts being replaced. Typically, maintenance to keep contacts dry and clean will help prevent unexpected breakdowns.

Additional golf cart parts that you may consider stocking would be for steering mechanisms. Many washers and bolts are used that can wear out with normal use and will need to be replaced and you do not want your cart out of commission due to the failure of a washer or pin that costs less than a dollar but may take a week to get. You can usually find replacement parts from the company that made your cart or from numerous sources online.

If you are following your favorite player and want an autograph, you can do this whenever he player is not playing a round. It is strongly enforced that no senior golf player be bothered when trying to play the game. All their attention is dedicated to the play. Volunteer's watch over the crowds to make sure all the rules are followed. Security is at it strongest during the all the days leading up to the final few days when things heat up. You can bring cameras onto the golf courses in the days leading up to the Championship days. Cameras are forbidden during the Championship rounds as well as workers are forbidden to have cell phones on the greens.

Senior golf, which is for those fifty and older also, has vendors set up around the course where you can purchase food and drinks. They do have bleachers at some holes where you can rest for a while before moving onto the next hole. These do fill up quickly, so you should plan to stand the entire time. This can be of some concerns to the many senior golf followers. The do provide some handicap services such as scooters for mobility around the course. The Senior Open is set up to allow everyone to participate as the audience. Many people from everywhere head to the tournaments to see what all the excitement is about during the year.

Qualifying To Play The Senior Golf Open

If you have a Senior Golf Open coming to your city, you can jump up to the tee and try your hand at qualifying to play in the tour. Many times the tours need to fill some open spots and they have qualifying times for any senior golf player over the age of fifty. To even consider qualifying you need to an USGA handicap index of fewer than 3.4. You can apply to qualify and if you meet the requirements, you can be the next senior golf your participant. You will then play a few full rounds of golf and if you succeed, you can play with the pros.

For an amateur senior golf player, this is a dream come true. Many people do however apply to qualify but they usually only need a couple of people for each location. You can find more information about qualifying on the PGA website that gives you all the information you need to know about dates and times of qualifying. This is a stiff competition because there are so many entries and only a handful of openings.

Whether you are a spectator or interested in qualifying, you will enjoy your time. You have a chance to meet the senior gold pros and learn more about them and their techniques. It is after all a great way to learn a few tips about golfing. Keep in mind the rules that are in place and you should enjoy a great day of watching some of the best senior golfers around from around the country.

There are many left-handed golfers who have serious problems playing the game. Whether it's because they are using a club that doesn't feel right or because they just can't seem to figure out how to golf left-handed, when nearly all tips and equipment out there cater to right-handed players.

This happens to a lot of new golfers who haven't yet learned that they are left-handed: there are a lot of people who use their right hand for everything else, but when it comes to golf, they automatically seem to change hands; and they need to use their left hand to golf.

Mastering golf is hard enough without any extra complications.

When it comes to viewing pictures of golfers taking a shot left-handed, golfers will almost need to view the image with a mirror to get the right idea.

This is why there are websites and magazines dedicated to the left handed golfer that accommodate all left-handed golfers out there. Whether they are giving them news on how to beat people with the latest in left-handed clubs or telling them where to find the best coaches who cater to left-handed golfers.

It can get frustrating for left handed golfers to constantly keep reading text on the latest tips, only to have their concentration broken when the word "right" pops up, forcing them to change the word in their mind to "left." But these dedicated publications and WebPages are designed to help break that mold that hinders the everyday left-handed golfer.

Golfers' needs are now being met in every way imaginable. Not long ago, left handed golfers weren't given much of a chance in the golfing world, but with the great sport of golf becoming more interesting and inclusive, everyone is given a much better chance to compete.

A big part of playing golf is your putting game.

It looks like it should be so easy to put that little ball into the hole, doesn't it? Once you get on the green, you find that putting that ball into the hole can be one of the things that can make or break your golf game.

Here are a few things that you can do to help your putting game.

* When you practice putting, use one ball to make it as much like a real game as possible. This will help you to concentrate more efficiently than you would if you have balls all over the putting surface. Practice putting daily.

* Putting does not only involve using the wrists. Placing the palms of your hands where they face each other while putting helps to prevent one hand from dominating the other and helps them to work together for a successful putt.

* RELAX! Make sure your muscles are completely relaxed when you putt!

* Ensure that your back and follow through strokes stay at the same length.

* You can keep your putter face square to the ball by keeping your right hand strong and left hand weak.

* Rely more on your shoulders than your wrist when you are putting.

* Keep your left wrist firm and still.

* Don't lock your knees. Relax them.

* Make sure that your feet and heels are shoulder-width apart.

* It is better to miss a putt by sending it sailing past the hole than having it come up short. It is far easier to finish off a shot.

* You can even practice putting at home on the carpet if weather is bad or you cannot make it to the golf course.

* Increase the stroke speed as you make contact with the ball. You will want to keep the putter grip moving in the direction of the targeted hole.

* Gary McCord says that if you are trying to putt in a curved direction, you need to keep your feet parallel to the line that you want the ball to follow, not the hole.

* When you find a putter that you like and play well with, then you need to stick with it.

* Compete with yourself so that you get used to putting under pressure.

With the popularity of cell phones today, you'd be hard pressed to find a golfer who doesn't have one. What used to be a luxury a few years ago has now become an everyday accessory as common as your key chain and purse or wallet.

Everybody has one, from young to old and everywhere you look, people are talking on their cell phones. We have become easily accessible by anyone no matter where we are and that's why cell phone holders have become such a popular golf cart accessory.

Keep Your Calls to Yourself

Do cell phones belong on the golf course? Many say no because a cell phone ringing in someone's back swing is the quickest way to find a ball in a hazard. Talking on your phone can also distract other golfers and could mean the difference between an eagle and a birdie.

Many golfers consider a ringing cell phone, as well as talking on the phone, rude and would rather you kept your phone at home. If cell phone use is considered rude, however, then why are cell phone holders sold as a golf cart accessory?

Set to Vibrate

Cell phone holders are sold as a golf cart accessory because the makers of such products understand that just because you're golfing doesn't mean you can't be reached. Cell phones don't have to ring as many cell phones have a vibrating option that can alert you without alerting everyone else.

In addition, many cell phones are text message ready. A text message can often be a great substitute for talking to someone. It doesn't bother anyone else and it can be returned at the other person's convenience.

Unlimited Text Messaging

Many cell phone plans include unlimited text messaging as part of their plan options. With unlimited text messaging, you won't have to worry about going over your plan as you would if you were talking on it constantly. You will save money and you will prevent from disturbing other golfers who might not care to hear your conversation.

A cell phone holder is a great golf cart accessory provided you make the necessary changes so as not to disturb other golfers. Put your cell phone on vibrate or silent. If you're afraid of missing a call, just check it every now and again. Most cell phones will tell you if you missed a call.

Also, use text messaging instead of talking whenever possible. These changes aren't all that inconvenient and by making them, most fellow golfers won't mind you having a cell phone holder as a golf cart accessory. They might even thank you for being so polite and for not distracting their game.

What could be better for tooling around a large piece of property than a small electrically powered vehicle made for two or more passengers and a bit of equipment? If your answer is "nothing" then you're looking for a golf cart.

Although developed and marketed for the use of golfers to expedite a "walk" around a course, golf carts are also used for transporting people around places that are too expansive for walking, but would be too confined or crowded for ordinary cars. Movie studios and their back lots are famous for their use of golf carts.

Golf carts are frequently seen at recreational parks, large flea markets and communities that appreciate their quiet, non-polluting convenience. Since their use as transportation in so many areas, manufacturers are now offering golf carts with car-like accessories and abilities.

New or Used?

If you are in the golf cart market for yourself or your organization, how do you make the choice between a new or used golf cart?

Golf courses are still the major purchaser for golf carts, of course, and they have a large turnover. Courses replace their fleet of carts every two or three years, which makes a used golf cart an easy commodity to find. If your company is looking for a few carts to zip around a business or recreational park, you may be tempted by the prospect of customized, logo-painted, high performance vehicle.

That sounds so much better than a tired, old used golf cart that was designed to putter the retired golfers around a course at safe (read "boring") speeds and no chance of disturbing anyone's concentration.

First, the important fact: a used golf cart is half the price of a new one. The difference in price runs into the thousands. Now multiply that by the number of carts your business needs.

Second, and even better, the largest manufacturers of golf carts all sell kits to upgrade that used golf cart. The manufacturers call them aftermarket parts. You can get lift kits, larger tires, a larger engine, hitch mounts, cargo boxes, audio systems, and decal sets. That should cover the cool factor.

The Used Golf Cart Industry

Whenever there is a big supply matched with a big demand, you know there's an industry. You can buy a used golf cart refurbished or "as is." The refurbished carts are inspected and cleaned and often come with a warranty. The "as is" used golf cart is, of course, a little cheaper and comes with the same caveat as a used car.

The choice is yours. A used golf cart at half the price, "as is" or refurbished plus a cool kit of aftermarket parts or a new cart at twice the price.

The style was warm and funny and the book was filled with wonderful golf tips!

Harvey Penick, known as America's Best Loved Golf Teacher, offers the following advice for golfers.

* Practice your swing without a ball. Swing your 7-iron at a certain blade of grass until you hit that spot consistently.

* Try not to be nervous about playing your game. Change, "I have to play today" to "I can't wait to play today!" Have fun playing golf!

* When choosing a putter to chip, try this tip. Toss a ball close to the hole underhanded. Then ask, "Which club will create the same path of flight and results?" Choose the club that will give you the same results.

* Use your intuition when choosing clubs or making a shot. The right club to use is the first club that comes into your mind. Try not to second-guess yourself.

* Try not to listen to your opponents. Concentrate on your own game.

* Many of the challenges that golfers have with their swings is due to an incorrect grip or stance. Practice these basics when your game seems to be off.

* To alleviate tension and aid in concentration, practice hitting leaves or twigs.

* After you hit a bad shot, you don't have to make an adjustment immediately. If you start to have a pattern of bad shots, then try a grip change.

* Take your time making a shot. Don't rush a shot. When you are ready, hit the ball.

* Stick with your decision. When you are decisive, the rest of your body will follow through with what it is expected to do.

* Keep your eye on the whole ball, not just a part of it.

* Be sure you have eye check ups regularly.

* Rotator cuff area pain is a very common golf injury. Penick says to ice it after you are done playing golf. It may also help to circularly swing your arms slowly while you are playing. This can help prevent your muscles from getting tight.

* Don't swing too hard. Try to believe that your ball will go a far distance if you swing correctly and solidly and that will miraculously happen.

* It is very important to keep your left arm straight upon impact.

If you are looking for an enjoyable and inspiring book to read about golf, check out Harvey Penick's Little Red Book, too. Penick's books will make you happy and you will get some great tips too!

Apparels such as sexy golf shoes, beautiful golf shirts are highly sought after.

A golf shirt is very important, simply because you can't be wearing any other type of shirt mainly because other types of shirts are not designed to withstand weather elements and react to the movement of your limbs and abdomen.

The many variants

There are many of types of golf shirts available to suit every taste and pocket. A famous golf shirt is the 'shady-tone colored' shirts mainly made by the renowned golf equipment makers such as Callaway, Bobby Jones Players Collection, and many more. Most of them come in tranquil shades of different colors, but primarily in pool blue, sky blue, leaf green, ash grey and so on.

Another type of golf shirt is the sweater or knitted type of shirts. Most of them are made from cashmere-blend knitted fabric or silk-blend fabric. These shirts are slightly more expensive than any other type of golf shirts, but look very nice and posh. Alternatively, there are also sweaters made from mercerized cotton, which are normally half the price of the former.

Or if you want to be conservative and common, then you would go for the classics type of golf shirt. This shirt is basically similar to formal outing shirts, but they are generally made from different type of fabric such as golf cotton and so on. Their designs are usually common, such as checks and nailhead. And some famous makers of this particular golf shirt type would be Jack Nicklaus, Polo by Ralph Lauren, and Ashworth

Besides the above three, there is another new type of golf shirt, which is the result of new fabric technology. This refers to the stylish and comfortable 'cooling' shirts. These shirts wick your sweat away and would lower down your body temperature while playing, directly affecting on boosting continuous strength in your body without wearing off easily. These shirts can be found in stores that sell Adidas or Haggar Cool shirts.

Taking care

These shirts are generally similar in the way we should take care of them. Packing them in bundles, especially when we are going for outing or vacations could spoil them, so fold them laid-down on a thin foil of plastic and cover them with dry cleaning bags. Similar to blazers and slacks, a golf shirt should be sent for dry cleaning or washed at home.

If you love golf, a golf vacation might be something that you like to do on a regular basis. For the avid golfer, the thought of going on vacation where you do nothing but golf is the idea of heaven. Here are a few things to consider before you take your next golf vacation.

First, it's always good to go on vacation with people who share your love of golf. Most often a golf vacation turns into a buddy trip, but there's really nothing wrong with that. But make sure that you pick a destination that everyone can agree on. Take a vote if you must, but be sure everyone wants to go to the same place and that everyone can afford it.

You will also want to take into consideration everyone's playing abilities when you plan a golf vacation. Someone with a 3 handicap will enjoy a challenging course while a person with a 13 handicap will likely just get frustrated and mad on the same course.

As a general rule when planning a golf vacation, you should consider the courses first and the accommodations next. Resorts, especially those with quality golf courses, are expensive. But all in all, if golf is a main purpose or highlight of your trip, decide where you want to play first, and then decide on accommodations. You can take a golf vacation where you stay at a hotel to gain access to a course and then move to a less expensive hotel later. It's an inconvenience to have to repack and move during the trip, but can be well worth it in order to play top courses while not spending the entire vacation at posh resort prices.

Even if you are staying at a resort hotel which gives you access to its courses, find out how far ahead of your arrival date you can book tee times. All courses have specific rules for when they will make tee times, which you should take note of and follow carefully.

Some courses even have specific times you must call to reserve your time (e.g., between 7 and 9 a.m. on the Thursday eight days before the weekend you wish to play), though most guidelines are usually more general (e.g., a week before you wish to play or up to sixty days ahead).

You should book as far as ahead as possible, especially for high demand courses. Even as a resort guest, if the course is popular, you may be out of luck if you wait until a few days before arrival or check-in time to get a tee time

Once you've embarked on your golf vacation and are ready to play the courses you've chosen, don't just jump right in with the excitement that we know you feel. You must take time to get a feel for the course and stretch properly. Arrive at the course well before your tee time to avoid feeling rushed and look around. Check out the scorecard to see the layout of the course and perhaps talk to the course pro to see if he or she has any advice for you.

A golf vacation is a great way for the golfer to enjoy some of the best courses our country has to offer. So plan carefully and then get out there and have some fun.

You've "sliced" that golf ball too many times and spent hours driving thousands of balls on the driving range has not added extra feet to your golf drive. (...)

You've "sliced" that golf ball too many times and spent hours driving thousands of balls on the driving range has not added extra feet to your golf drive. For the umpteenth time you have vowed to give up the game of golf.

Perhaps it is time to go back to school - golf school that is. But before you enroll consider four factors in selecting your school.

Goal

The first consideration in selecting your golf school should be in response to what part of your game you wish to improve. There are a variety of golf schools that concentrate on various aspects of the game. Some schools offer instruction from big-name talent or concentrate on that part of the game where you are within 100 feet of the pin.

Other schools offer a broad stroke approach by concentrating on every aspect of the game of golf. What you wish to accomplish and improve upon in your own personal game will determine which school you wish to attend.

Tuition

A significant factor in your choice of the golf school is your budget and the return on your investment. Depending upon what school you choose, who provides the instruction and other factors, tuition for golf school ranges anywhere from $350 to $3,500. Those other factors include the location of the golf school as well as lodging expenses. Costs of the golf school can be kept to a minimum if one chooses to lodge elsewhere inexpensively.

Many of the schools offer classroom as well as practical instruction out on the links. An additional help is a video analysis of your golf swing with practical instructions on how to improve this critical aspect of the game.

Combine a Vacation

A possibility of keeping your golf school costs to a minimum would be the combining of your annual vacation and this golf opportunity. Golf school opportunities abound that coincide with lavish or popular vacation spots. Golfing lessons by day and the enjoyment of the sites, sounds and adventures of the locales by night could be a pleasant experience for golfers and non-golfers alike.

What Makes Them Special?

Finally, check out the various golf schools and find out what is their draw in attracting students to attend their golf school. Some schools offer a high-tech analysis of your game.

You can always tell someone who knows golf from someone who doesn't know golf. The person who doesn't know golf will assume that you can wear any type of clothing while you golf and that having certain golf shirts isn't important. Most people will think that golf shirts are only fashion shirts, and that they serve no purpose. However, true golfers know that there are different types of golf shirts and that they do serve several purposes.

Looking Like a Golfer

First firs purpose to a good golf shirts is to make you look like a golfer. Most of the time, different courses are going to have different regulations, but most courses require you to wear a shirt with a collar on it when you are golfing. This means that you have to look a certain way to be on the course, which is meant to uphold different traditions and values when it comes to golfing. Therefore, when you are looking at different golf shirts, you need to make sure that the ones you are buying contain the right kind of collars for the courses on which you golf. You don't want to buy golf shirts if you can't use them!

Weather Protection

Even though golf is a game that is mostly played in warm weather, a lot of people play it year round, or as much of the year as they can. This means that the golf shirts have to be able to protect you from all kinds of weather. There are several types of golf shirts that you can wear that will be able to stand up in various types of weather. The first kind is the lighter shirts that stand up in the hot weather. They let the wind get through you and they reflect the sun so that you don't get as hot while you are golfing. There are also golf shirts that help you by keeping you warm. These are for colder temperatures, and for golfing in places where you might get cold easier. The materials that make these up are much different, and they are used to keep your body heat in instead of keeping it out.

One of the most important things to keep in mind when you are buying golf shirts is that you want to buy shirts that are durable. These should be shirts that are made to wear for sports, and that are made to wear outdoors. You want to look your best and you want to be sure that you have the best kinds of golf shirts that you possibly for this.

Dinah Shore was a very famous entertainer, actress and songstress. In the course of her career, she won 10 Emmy awards and was often revered as a great actress. In the world of golf, Dinah Shore is known in a much different way. Long an avid golfer, Shore wanted to pass on her love of golf and especially female golf to the world.

Shore founded one of the most prestigious golf tournaments on the LPGA tour, the Colgate/Dinah Shore Winner's Circle Golf Championship which is now the Kraft Nabisco Championship in Rancho Mirage, California. This is one of the four major tournaments on the LPGA Tour. Even though the tournament no longer bears her name, people still refer to it as the Dinah Shore.

Ironically, the Dinah Shore golf tournament, kind of like its founder, is not without controversy. In her lifetime, it was speculated that Shore was a lesbian - a fact that her fans have adamantly denied given her scandalous relationship with Burt Reynolds who was twenty years her junior. There was also an allegation that she was part African/American which lost her some popularity among her more closed-minded fans.

The golf tournament she founded has been touted as the largest gathering of lesbians in any one place at any one time. Now some people really don't care about this. They just want to see the greatest women's golfers take to the links and compete for the prize. But others are just not comfortable being around so many people "like that". I'd like to note that this author falls into the first category - who cares!

The Dinah Shore tournament has seen its share of great wins - just like on the men's tournament. In 1988, pro golfer and winner Amy Alcott started a tradition that is still practiced today. At the conclusion of her round when she was declared the winner of the competition for the second time, she jumped in the lake off of the 18th green. Today, it is a winner's tradition to participate in the "swim at the Shore".

When the Kraft/Nabisco Company took over the tournament in 1982, the possibility of some huge prize money became a reality. This giant conglomerate certainly had the resources and wanted to make this event THE event to win on the LPGA. They consistently increased the purse over the years and today, the winner takes home a whopping $2 million dollars!

Dinah Shore died in 1994, but her name lives on the golf world. She has been inducted into the LPGA hall of fame and is well-respected among golfers of the world.

Arnold has an overall performance record of ten first place holdings in the Champion Tour and sixty-two first place holdings in the PGA Tour. He played three hundred and nineteen events in the Champion Tour and seven hundred and thirty-four PGA events. He still continues to talk about his days of golf and is one of the senior golf pros that are still making a name for themselves.

Jack Nicklaus born in 1940, turned pro in 1961 and tied Arnold Palmer with ten first place wins in the Champion Tour with eighty-four events played and seventy-three first place wins in the PGA Tour with five hundred and ninety-four events played. Jack also played two Nationwide Tours, which he made the cut just once. He has gone onto providing lessons to golfers who need a few lessons in the game of beginning, amateur and senior golf.

Seve Ballesteros retired just recently in 2007, after having years of back pain the preventing him from playing many years. He held fifty European Tour victories and five other championships. At the age of fifty, he did try the Champion Tour and finished last. He did not have the attitude that most senior golf players need, he was telling himself he needed to retire and that helped his game drop to nothing. In 1979, Seve won his first major and is now playing golf leisurely.

When they turn a certain age, most of the senior golf players start playing more than what they did before. Golf is the choice of sports for baby boomers nearing retirement. The retire pros retire from the spotlight but they never really retire from the game. Golf is the top rated sport as you age. Tennis and skiing are not far behind, but you are going have more fitness problems with these two sports. Golfing is soothing and a great way to spend a day. Even retirement from the limelight does not mean they never touch a golf club.

If you play about twenty-five games a year, you are considered an avid golfer. The senior golf player will have more time to play, which accounts for more games played. Because of the handicap system in golf, more players can stay competitive with the younger golfers. To play as a senior golf player, you need flexibility, endurance and some strength to keep playing.

Many of the retired pros can offer some of the new senior golf pros some tips that they have learned. Arnold Palmer still watches the rounds and does speak out about what he sees, but it mostly the distance he sees that needs improvement. As you get older, most avid golf players know you need to adjust your swing and your equipment to get the same or more distance when playing professional or amateur golf on the golf course.

A golfer basically needs nothing more than clubs, a golf bag, and the balls to play. (...)

A golfer basically needs nothing more than clubs, a golf bag, and the balls to play. But having a good game to your name doesn't come just with that - you would need several other golf accessories as well. Golf accessories are generally used by professionals and non-professionals for the smoothness of their game.

It is true that a complete golf accessory set is not necessary to play the game, but having one of them would definitely help to make your game even better.

A complete golf accessory set would comprise of secondary golf bags, carts, shirts and tees, club head covers, hats or caps, training and practicing aids, traveling bags, golf shoes, sunglasses, golf gloves and golf stockings.

Need for a Better Golf Experience

A secondary golf bag is usually referring to a carry bag, and this type of golf accessory is very helpful and affordable. It is the smallest type of golf bags, which is made from cheaper materials such as PVC and plastic, and is able to hold basic equipment such as he balls and shoes, as well as the shirts and other golf clothing.

A golf cart, another important golf accessory, helps us to carry heavy loads. It does two things at a time; save our energy and works more efficiently and faster than us. It basically lessens your burden of carrying around your heavy load of equipment from one hole to another and all around the course.

Shirts and tees here do not refer to the basic necessary golf accessory that a golfer needs to wear to enter a golf course. It refers to the special golf cotton shirts which last against the hot sun and different types of weather. Most of them are made by known brand shirt makers, and are of very high quality.

A club head cover is another golf accessory that is very important when it comes to protecting your golf clubs. These covers are there to protect the heads from being damaged, which can happen in any form or time, such as during transporting or when moving about your golf bags along the game. The accidents that can occur would definitely cause dents on your club head, and this will affect the performance of your game, because these dents can lower the accuracy level.

There are listless other golf accessories that you could keep on buying over the years as your love for the sport - and the time you can devote to it - increases.

You can buy all the golf accessories that you want, but none of them are going to do you much good unless you have them with you while you are playing the game. Keeping your golf accessories on hand may be a bit of a hassle, but when they come in handy you will be glad that you went through the trouble. There are many different ways that you can carry your golf accessories with you, and here I will discuss some of the most practical solutions. If you have just recently stocked up on golf accessories and you are looking for a solution to the predicament of portability, you will probably encounter some information that will be very beneficial to your cause.

Your golf bag probably has quite a few compartments that are not filled up by the actual golf clubs themselves. Do you have these compartments stuffed to the max? Since you will be carrying your golf club bag with you anyways, you might as well make the best of it and include some of the accessories that you are most likely to need while playing your game. This could include extra balls and tees, a small club repair kit, extra sunblock, a first aid kit, and anything else that you might think of. As long as it can fit, put it in there. It will be especially convenient if everything ends up fitting inside of the golf bag.

Just for the sake of making sure that you are taken care of, let us assume that you can't fit everything inside of the golf bag and you would like to take more along with you. Should you just carry it along with you and leave it in the golf cart? Well, that's exactly what you should do. Get some sort of backpack or duffel bag that you can fill with all of your accessories that you may need in the middle of the game, and keep it under your seat in the golf cart. Before you get together with your friends to go golfing, tell them what all you have. If several people bring the same thing when only one is needed, unnecessary space will be taken up just to keep everything and everyone inside of the golf cart.

In order to bring everything you want along with you, you will need to be realistic in deciding what you really want to bring along. Do you need a golf club cleaner when you are just going out to play a couple of holes? Wouldn't a rag be just fine for touching up the club before you put it back into the bag? While these various accessories may seem worthless if you don't bring them along, you just have to keep telling yourself that you will be able to enjoy their functionality once you arrive back home. This will provide you with motivation to not bring the unnecessary items.

There are always things that can help you out in the middle of a game, and you will need to simply recognize which ones they are. Once you have figured out what will really be helpful while golfing, you can start to figure out the method of getting them around with you as you traverse the golf course.

PGA golf began as an organization in 1916, as a group put together by Rodman Wanamaker, a department store owner in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since that time, PGA golf has grown to be synonymous with premium golf.

It is the largest sports organization, boasting over 28,000 members, mostly golf course professionals and the players on the tour. Although many players also belong to the PGA Tour, of which the teach pros are not members. PGA golf hosts 4o professional tournaments each year, along with The Players Championships at courses around the country. PGA golf also runs four major tournaments throughout the year, the Ryder Cup, PGA Championship, the Champions Tour and the PGA Gland Slam of Golf.

The PGA golf senior's tour includes many of the former touring professionals and the 68th Senior PGA Championship played in 2007 at the Kiawah Island, Ocean Course in South Carolina. The Grand Slam of Golf, previously played in Hawaii, will be played in Bermuda in 2007, marking a few of the recent changes being made in tournament locations.

Foundation Helps Spread Enthusiasm For Golf

The PGA golf Foundation is the resource for helping golf gain popularity through various walks of life and in many communities. By focusing resources on underprivileged children, the foundation hopes to help teach the fundamentals and sportsmanship of the game of golf.

PGA golf also oversees merchandising and licensing to help protect the integrity of the sport. Electronic games licensed by PGA golf revolve around some of the best players in the game and authentic PGA clothing lines must have the quality required to earn the licensing prestige of the PGA. Whether it is hats, vests or trousers, strict specifications must be met.

Offshoots of PGA golf such as the Ladies Professional Golf Association and the Junior Golfers Association all maintain strict player standards and the rules and equipment committees meet regularly to discuss any potential need for changes. Maintaining a close watch on equipment innovations helps maintain a level playing field, with players relying on their skill as opposed to inducements made by equipment.

Television and radio commercials stress the abilities of the professional players and how they can withstand the pressures of their sport. The most recent tagline, "They're that good" makes a statement of what it takes to belong to the PGA golf tour.

Having a membership in a golf club can be very advantageous both monetarily as well as socially!

A golf membership will give you access to certain things non-members won't have. Your greens fees may be reduced or, more often, included in the membership. That means you can play as much as you want and not have to pay greens fees. Most golf memberships don't include the use of a cart, so you'll probably pay extra for that.

Having access to programs with your golf membership is another great perk. That might mean reduced fees for league play, free entry into tournaments, and access to the club's facilities for other events like meetings, dinners, and more.

There are a lot of golf courses that won't let you play unless you have membership with them. These are called private clubs and allow members and their guests only to play. That means without a golf membership to that club, you have to know someone who is a member in order to get on the course.

Even small, public courses offer golf memberships. This is a great way for them to generate more play as well as make some guaranteed money. They will offer up some of the other advantages that private clubs do in the form of free or reduced greens fees, etc.

Sometimes, golf memberships can be quite steep. For example, one of this author's local golf clubs sets membership fees at $700 per year for a single membership. The course is run by a Senior PGA pro and it is a beautiful place to play. When you consider the amount of golfing we do, we have paid for our membership in just a few weeks just by saving on greens fees since we don't pay to play as a member of the club.

When we speak of a golf membership, we can also refer to membership in a golfing organization. You have to be a pro to join the PGA, but amateurs can join amateur organizations. Most areas have regional golf organizations where you can buy a membership to become part of them. These associations often hold sanctioned tournaments and can really help get your name known at least locally as a good golfer.

If you're an avid golfer, you really should consider buying a membership in your local golf club. It can be a very good move and can save you tons and tons of money while allowing you to enjoy the game you love!
