CB360 Green Cafe Tracker

I drink another a cup of coffee today and I found this street tracker, a bit of like bobber, and café racer tail modification is just like an alligator on the grass with circle feet. IMHO, a low budget modification have a unique result because it’ll push creativity to the limit and this one is no exception.

Revived from the tomb, this cb360 beast is transformed into attractive street tracker. At first, the bulder, KMoto, wants to modify it into a café racer but because he had a serious obsession with dirt bikes from young he decided to change the modification line track into street tracker.

The motorcycle’s bone tail had to be cut till shockbreaker base. Even though unifilter used a lot in a dirt track motorcycle and AVT, he put it on his motorcycle. A classic headlamp (I don’t know what is it LOL) and a bit surprising no front brakes attached, it is adrenaline we talk about here. For the buttocks, I think you’ll feel sore quickly because it only about 2cm thick and made from neoprene.

The best part of this motorcycle is it’s tail and tail lamp. The tail is a custom made from an aluminium plate with word “360” painted on it. Tail lamp case, is made from old piston. Old piston drilled so the lamp fit in there.

Classic: Honda Nanahan CB750

Unsatisfied with CB450 sales in America, Yoshiro Harada, who was in charge of CB450 development, took a trip to US. Around summer 1967 Harada arrived in US and studied the CB450's impact in local market. He found that American love bigger engine. So he decided to develop a 750cc motorcycle with 4 cylinder inline, bigger horsepower (67 horsepower). Honda is aiming for performance and safety at the time, disk brakes Harada brought from US implemented in brand new CB750. This never done before, so CB750 is the first motorcycle to use disk brakes in the world.

CB750 was such a huge boom in US, and led to the new category "Nanahan"
Nanahan: Meaning 750 in Japanese, the term was used by the development staff to maintain the confidentiality of their new model. Nanahan later became a popular term, and was widely used in magazine circles.

Classic: Successor of Honda GP, CB450

After glorious sixties in World Grand Prix Road Racing Series, Honda withdraw from GP and focusing in mass-produced high performance motorcycle. The CB450 was released in 1965 featuring a two-cylinder DOHC engine, it had been created at the request of American Honda, which wanted a higher-class version of its predecessor, the 305 cc CB77.

The Honda CB450 has a 444cc dual overhead cam engine producing 43-45. It was first released in 1965 as K0 model with 4 speed, known as "Black Bomber" models in the U.S. for their distinctive large, square gas tank. Although the CB450 never sold up to Honda’s expectations, it had excellent engineering for the time, notably including reliable components.

Tips: How to tidy up the wires

One problem that arise when building a minimalistic/clean-look cafe race or tracker is the wire. Unorganized wire obviously very annoying, espesially when there's a lot of wire around. How to tidy up the wires?

You'll need these 2 stuffs:
1. Cable ties

It's easy to find at your local store. Price really cheap and have various size.
2. Cable Wrapper
You don't need cable wrapper like this:

What you need is like this:

It widely used for tidying computer cable and it is multipurpose. Use it for wrap your wires. Actually wrapper is optional but if you use it in combo or co-op with cable ties the outcome will be very nice.

It's time to tidy up! Tie the wires to chassis, and you're ready to roll.

'82 Honda GL100 Mixed-Up Modification

Victor Suryadi has a bit eccentric concept for his '82 Honda GL100. We can called it freestyle modification, mix in between cafe racer, classic and street, into one bike. All hard work was done by Donny a.k.a "Batax" from "Hantu Laut" workshop in Jakarta, one of the recognized cafe racer/tracker workshop in the city.

Take a look, front looks jacked with windshield then also the tank, applying cafe racer style. From middle to rear not so cafe racer, perhaps more like oldschool street bike. He extended the swing arm about 15 cm so it’ll more stable when accelerating.

Yamaha 250 Scorpio Long Distance Use, Oldies/Street Tracker Style

The owner, Catur Budi, is from Jogjakarta, Indonesia. He had stock Yamaha Scorpio 250cc at his garage, but he felt he need to crank up the style. So he decided to put his bike to local bike workshop called STEP motorcycle Jogjakarta. The concept for the bike is stylish yet comfortable, so tracker style choosen.

Because the concept is minimal modification, not much changed from the stock. He change the tank, fenders, sidebody, and rear lamp. Also, he adds some parts like front shockbreaker cover, and rear footstep. Other still original.

Most of the custom parts are made from galvanized plate. Chassis to be cutted 22 cm. Saddle made thicker because it need to be comfortable. Last, he put custom fuel indicator from a small plastic bottle. Condition of fuel can be monitored from it whether it empty or has dirt in it.
For performance-wise, exhaust need to be made custom so it power increased significantly. And CDI BRT type bolt-on replace the stock CDI. Now he satisfied.

Classic: 1966 Honda RC166

Let's take a look back in sixties when Honda made this beast.... This is 1966 Honda RC166, built for GP at that time, 250cc and have 6 cylinders inline, 7 speed.
Now,
Prepare for your ears....

Whohooo....First time I listen to the sound I got a goosebumps..Such a wonderful sound...heh...:D
And one more thing, It can goes from 12k rpm to 17rpm in a blink of eyes... It has 240 kmh max speed.

This motorcycle won 10 out of 10 in World Championship Series in 1966 which is a total domination. Also, it won Manufacturers' and Riders' Championships in the 250cc class for two years. The rider at that time is No.7 Mike Hailwood from UK.

Hide's (HIDEMO) SP-26 Sportster

In Japan, the HD Sportster custom subculture is pretty high compared to another country. This motor cycle modification is done by Hide Modification (a.k.a HIDEMO). This is the SP-26, the latest custom to roll out of the Kawasaki City workshop. And despite the completely new bodywork, it’s a relatively subtle update.

The fuel tank is a one-off design; the fenders, seat, bars, air intake and ignition coil assembly are all from the Hide parts catalog. Everything is understated, from the new front and rear lights to the minimalist grips (from cult Japanese brand IK Works). The forks are dropped a little, and the mandatory Firestones complete the retro-tinged look. It’s a low-key but effective update, and to my mind, the best way to add a little custom magic to Milwaukee’s bread and butter machine.

Prototype: 2001 Honda CAIXA

There is not much prototype motorcycle out there. As far as I know, motorcycle prototype are not far from performance optimization in result higher engine's efficiency to meet emission requirement. At least not as profound as Honda does. 2001 Honda CAIXA is one of different prototype. Built with direct drive in wheel electric motor , means the electric motor placed inside the wheel rim, makes this prototype unique. The compact design as you can fold it, is perfect for apartment user, and commuter use. Folding motorcycle isn't new for Honda, in 80's they've built folding bike called Honda MotoCompo. Now they use electric motor in their new but prototype motorcycle. Not much about the motor's specification, this bike is awesome.
