Top Dawg Entertainment is a relatively small hip-hop movement consisting of star player Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock. However, the four-man crew is about to expand. So, who have they added to their already-talented roster? We’re not sure, but Peter Rosenberg, the well-known Hot 97 radio personality recently tweeted giving us insight that there is indeed a new TDE signee.

24 year old Brooklyn born, Will Francis Lucas, first captured my attention for his work with MisterWives on their debut “Lullaby” video. Mr. Lucas makes dark pop videos with beatufiul European models that look like Fellini movies & psychedelic rap videos that evoke experimental cinema of the 1960s. So it looks like Kanye West wasn’t the first to connect European models with Hip Hop.

After watching his work online, we decided to interview this Brooklyn kid who fell in love with foreign countries and their women.

Briefly explain to our readers who you are?
My name is Will Francis Lucas, lover & traveler. I do a bit of everything, short films, music videos, but mainly mischief.

Growing up in New York during the 90′s was fun. Can you tell us a couple of good memories that you remember?
I grew up tripping on LSD with Russian models.
A few séances in the Lower East Side.

Tell us about the first time you fell in love with the camera?
In Berlin, found some Polish girls, took them back to my room and made them photograph themselves.

What made you move to Scandinavia and Eastern Europe?
Met some Serbian girls from Denmark. Went out there for a while. Met some witches, did some dirt. Realized how much I stood out from the Scandinavian people. Everyone wore black, I wore red, I looked like an asshole.

My family is part Czech so I hit Prague to see what was up. Strip clubs on every corner, cheap everything, giants, dancing retards. Prague is my heart.

Have you visited any other countries? Where is your favorite place to shoot? If you could, where would be your dream place to shoot?
I’ve been all over, too much to mention here. Berlin and Rio de Janeiro are the greatest, Istanbul is cool too.

My dream cities would be Lebanon & Belgrade.

Which is your favorite camera to shoot with and why?
I use a Nikon fm2 for still b&w.
I like shooting on a 5D. Great for undetected work, was good for the red light district in Amsterdam.

What and who inspires you? Why?
Sacha Baron Cohen, he’s the man.
Michelangelo Antonioni & Federico Fellini, their style.
Jack Nicolson, his attitude.
Lil B, for his personal freedom.
Vladimir Putin, for his love of animals.

How did you meet the band MisterWives and how did the concept for “Lullaby” come about?
My roommate’s sister is the lead singer. “Lullaby” is special, I just had to make a video to match the emotions.

Now a days, music artists can independently promote themselves across the world through the power of the Internet. Do you think it’s the same for filmmakers? Easier? Harder?
Yea, that’s the next move, how to build a Lil B like cult following, but put out films that match the standards of Fellini.

I had the pleasure of attending Adrienne Bailon‘s nail polish launch party last night at Modalistas in NY. Now, I must give this young lady her kudos because this party was like no other. The singer/actress released a new line of nail polish, “Fingertip Fetish,” and just to get supporters familiar, her launch party included free drinks and manicures. No woman in the world, and I mean no woman, will ever turn down a free manicure. There’s just something about treating your nails…(inserts nail emoji here). Maintenance, ladies, maintenance.

It was awesome ‘ceeing’ Adrienne be just as excited about everyone’s manicures as they were.

“L.E.S” (white) is Adrienne’s signature color named after her hometown. She says it’s her favorite and I don’t blame her. “El Barrio” (red), she says, was inspired by her older aunts in Spanish Harlem. If you’re a woman of Latin decent, Puerto Rican specifically, and from New York you can surely relate. You know what I’m talking about, the long red-based colored nails. Lastly there’s a blue shade with a glitter coat added, which I can’t quite recall the exact name of but will say is equally as awesome and trust me, I know because I’m wearing it.

Here’s a look at part of Adrienne’s collection, inspired by the Brooklyn Nets. My favorite is the gold. Lord knows I’m a sucker for some dope gold polish. She told me it’s inspiration was derived from the gold chains Run DMC wore back in the day, which only makes the color so much cooler. Don’t you think?

The lovely Amanda Seals, host of VH1‘s “Master of the Mix, obviously loved her complimentary mani.

The full collection includes a total of 10 polishes, ranging from a “Taxi Cab” yellow to a “Lady Liberty” mint.

Miss Mykie of BET‘s “106 & Park” stopped by to show some love and support her girl Adrienne.

No girl got left behind as Adrienne interacted with fans via Ustream to make sure they also got a taste of her new line.

A big shout out to the ladies from VP (Very Polished) Nail Lounge. In case you want to take your nails out on a date, which I highly recommend, they’re located in Brooklyn, NY. Thanks again ladies! I will be paying you a visit and very soon.
