Officially kicking off on August 23rd until September 11th 2017, look forward to a unique combination of about 180 different attractions; including major rides, children’s rides, dozens of food, drink and candy stands, game arcades, shooting galleries, and 80 street vendor stalls – an astounding 3,5 km stretch of entertainment for all ages and tastes.

Fairground entertainers from different countries make the Schueberfouer a multicultural festival with a preserved Luxembourgish flair! Experience what the locals call the “Fouer”, by hopping on a thrilling ride, tasting typical Luxembourgish fast foods: “Gromperkichelcher”, “gebakene Fesch” or delicious waffles topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries! Off we go to the FUN Fouer!

A quiet oasis from the bustling city: You’ll find a small but nice courtyard at Cafetin de Buenos Aires, in the heart of Luxembourg City. Prefer a hot-spot overlooking Luxembourg’s infamous Gëlle Fra? Then the Zanzen is your best bet! For those fancying a vibrant terrace, Le Sud, located in Clausen’s nightlife district boasts an amazingly ambient veranda.

Heading just outside the capital, you’ll encounter the Boos cafe emitting its holiday mood; with your feet buried in sand and a cocktail in hand, what more could you ask for?

Venture outdoors on Easter Monday toward Luxembourg City (the old town’s “Fischmarkt” area) and Nospelt (Western canton of Capellen) to experience a piece of local culture and tradition at „Emaischen“, an event where tens of thousands of visitors follow the whistles of the “Peckvillercher”, handcrafted terracotta birds, sold and displayed in various colors and sizes at an open market in the city center and Nospelt.

What’s more, enjoy the funfair stalls and artists displaying their latest wares as well as scrumptious dinning options to make your Easter Monday a memorable one!

With organic wine more in demand than ever, the number of organic producers and the area of cultivation in Luxembourg have also increased. ‘Herrenberg’, the wine growing area in Wasserbillig, is currently the largest area for organic wines in Luxembourg.

This organic innovation is being made to truly historic soil as monks from Trier first used it to produce wine 800 years ago; surely they did this without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. So reintroducing the greenery of local herbs and flowers to the vineyard is literally taking it ”back to its roots“. After all excellent quality soil is needed for an outstanding wine.
