I am not expecting you to visualize or meditate for hour upon hour. However, if you are serious about changing your life, you are going to have to establish a simple routine for using the law of attraction and to put the above suggestions into practice.

Once you have your routine in place, it will become second nature to you. The trickiest part will be to establish one in the first place; we are all creatures of habit and it can be very difficult to adapt to new routines, particularly if they are a little hard at first. Stick with it though as the rewards are well worth your perseverance; we are talking about the possible manifestation of all you desire from life, so surely that’s got to be worth a little commitment!

I will give you an example of my daily routine. Every morning when I wake, I reach for the scripts I have written in my special book and read them through. As I read them, I visualize, imagine them coming true and fully belief that they are on their way to me. I look at the pictures I have pasted which represent my desires manifested and get into feeling as though they are already mine.

I mentally go through my day, and tell myself it’s going to be a fantastic day with so many opportunities. If there is a part of my day that looks as though it is going to be tricky, I mentally imagine it going really well, and fully expect a positive outcome. Then I release it to the universe and do not dwell on it.

As I go through my day, I look for things to appreciate, such as my first hot cup of coffee or the smell of the flowers out of my window. I have my vision board easily visible and when I need a little time out from work I will look at this and feel excitement and gratitude that the things on it are manifesting their way into my life.

At the end of the day, I write in my Appreciation Diary all the things I have found to appreciate through the day. I then spend some time on my statements of intention; reading them through, and visualizing them as though they are already mine. I imagine them in the greatest detail and get into the feeling of having them already. I then try to hold this feeling as long as I can.

All of this takes only a few minutes each day; your daily routine should be personal to you, but at first commit to at least spending five minutes at night on your intentions and another few minutes each morning reading your scripts. After a time you may decide you feel more comfortable changing the routine; that’s absolutely fine. Do whatever feels right for you.

Christmas will be coming again this year.

Whatever your religious or non-religious position about Christmas, old friends come to mind. And as you go through your list to send greetings to, are there any that make you growl? Is there anyone of whom you think, I wonder what happened to them? If there is, don’t let your next thought be, “Oh, well they never get in touch with me, so why should I…?”

Or perhaps there’s someone you don’t know but would like to know better?

A relative you stopped speaking to for some reason, (even though you forgot years ago what the reason was!).

Whoever those people are, they’re still people. And they get afraid just like you. If you don’t want to forgive, well then don’t, but at least ask yourself who benefits by holding onto old grudges? Is it better to be right or to be kind?

And if there is someone you don’t know but would like to, realize if you want to warm by the fire you sometimes have to be the one to light it.

Even though you can’t even remember why any more?

A family argument perhaps, or a tussle with something non-human such as your car or computer. And, darn it, no matter what you do, the other thing just seems to get the upper hand on you. Then you become like the proverbial dog with a bone, and won’t let go.

It seems to me there are two things to do here. One is to be the dog with the bone as long as you remember the bone is going to win.

And the other is to walk away.

Neither is right or wrong. But whichever you choose, I would add a little piece of wisdom here ….

…. put a big silly grin on your face! So the bone’s winning – who cares? You could even let out a chuckle as you imagine yourself floored by this big, white thigh-bone. As you do, you begin to release endorphins and they make you feel gooooood!

I have talked to many others who experience the same.

When you compete against someone, in any area of life, you setup 2 incredibly powerful forces.

The first is the desire to be triumphant. Imagine the excitement someone must feel when they win a gold medal in the Olympics. They have achieved a personal dream and they get a flood of recognition from friends, family, media, fans and ultimately their entire country. What person would not love this kind of validation of success? The same kind of triumph can be experienced (maybe not at the same level of intensity) when you win a competition that you have been involved in, no matter how small it may be.

The second (and more powerful) force that gets created in competition is the desire to avoid defeat. Most humans instinctively associate any form of loss with pain and in most cases, will do anything necessary to avoid that pain. If you enter some kind of competition that will help drive you towards your goals, this pain avoidance force may be the deciding factor in your success.

Use competitive scenarios to drive you forward but remember to detach from the outcome. If you happen to lose your competition, don’t get down in the dumps. Focus on what positives came out of it (usually a drastic increase in results) and continue moving towards your goals.
