tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26525934877974957492020-02-28T13:36:09.573-05:00Unknownnoreply@blogger.comBlogger1125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2652593487797495749.post-35477116672551099142010-04-24T14:54:00.001-04:002010-04-25T17:25:48.255-04:00My husband and I have been to West Palm&nbsp; Beach twice on vacation,&nbsp; both times we also ventured down to Miami's South Beach area.&nbsp; Though both beaches are very different in culture,&nbsp;&nbsp;visitors share an undeniable desire to return.&nbsp; We love the strip on Okeechobee Blvd.&nbsp;in West Palm Beach heading to the&nbsp;white sandy beach on South Ocean Blvd.&nbsp; There's something about the carefree feel of the locals,&nbsp; and the beautiful scenery that surrounds us.&nbsp; Some of our favorite spots are City Place, a unique development with shops, restaurants,&nbsp; and even a Comedy Theatre,&nbsp; the Palm Beach <span class="goog-spellcheck-word">Improv</span>&nbsp; (we had tickets to D.L. <span class="goog-spellcheck-word">Hughley</span> on our last trip).&nbsp; Another hot spot for fun was E.R. Bradley's,&nbsp; an outdoor enclosed&nbsp;bar/ grille with dance party included.&nbsp; Our favorite little eatery hands down was "Too Jay's",&nbsp; a restaurant /&nbsp; deli that prepares homemade food on-site.&nbsp; Not only was the food delicious but the prices were a bonus!&nbsp;&nbsp; Where do we stay?&nbsp; We have stayed and expect to return to Wyndham Hawthorne Suites, West Palm Beach.&nbsp; The accommodations and service are excellent.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The kitchen in our suite is very convenient for storing a&nbsp;late-night purchase of delicious gourmet Blue Belle ice-cream at the nearby <span class="goog-spellcheck-word">Publix</span> grocery store.&nbsp; <br /><br />What do you do after a couple of days in West Palm...?&nbsp;&nbsp; You head to South Beach Miami,&nbsp; where the crowd is just as interesting as the ocean view!&nbsp; The beach is much wider than West Palm,&nbsp; but the aqua water is just the same!&nbsp; Though we never stayed overnight in South Beach,&nbsp;&nbsp;while&nbsp;strolling down the Ocean Dr. strip, &nbsp;the "<span class="goog-spellcheck-word">Clevelander</span>"&nbsp; makes you stare and want to know who is dancing on the dance floor centered just beyond the outdoor bar.&nbsp; For lunch we ate at the 11st. Diner,&nbsp; a must for anyone desiring real good food at a real good price.&nbsp; We walked off the calories from our lunch with a walk down to the rock/ under construction wooden pier, where&nbsp;you can at any given moment capture a view of a cruise liner just yards away.&nbsp; The culture is different than West Palm,&nbsp; but&nbsp;equally&nbsp;tempting.&nbsp; We definitely will be back!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
