Gasworks "#FallFriday #HistoryThursday I shot these photos today in Gasworks Park in Seattle, in ruins of the only remaining coal gasification plant in the US: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gas_Works_Park. Somebody had left the gate open to the ruins, so we were able to spend several hours shooting.(Warning! Dangerous! Don't do this!) These were all done with my Nikon D3 and Nikkor 135mm f/2 DC lens, which features a variable defocus control to give that soft diffused look of the classic soft-focus lenses that I love. Coupled with the gentle diffused light of an impending storm, it was a unique opportunity to photograph this landmark from inside the fence. Feel free to publicly share this album! And eventually we get to know each other and they tell me about the wonderful weather in the Punjab and stories that make my mouth water. India is the place I want to visit if I ever get the money. I know it&#39;s a big place but still, besides France, India is the country I want to see. But in lieu of a visit, they offer me Punjab food. Homemade. When they ask me what I&#39;d like for lunch boss I ask what they made that day, and for a few months they made extra for me and I had a lot of spicy Indian food. It&#39;s what I love about New York. On Second avenue, I have my Mexican friends who will loan me money if I need it. Who understand the ups and downs of my business. And who will commiserate with me about the economy or laugh about the latest gaff with the Second Avenue Subway. I have watched their child grow up. And if I turn right instead or left, I can walk to Third Avenue and get homemade Indian food and listen to tales about the heroic exploits of the Sikh warriors. I may not get to visit any of their worlds, but I get a taste (literally) of their food. Otway Ranges - SE Coast, Australia "There is a region on the South Eastern Coast of Australia called the Otway Ranges.. it is an area littered with waterfalls and creeks, covered in bright green moss and just waiting to be explored and discovered. It would have to be one of my favorite places in the world, mostly because you can get lost in there by yourself and not see another human for days!"

Flew with my son as co-pilot and got some great photos of the mtn. Came back and grabbed some lunch and went Hangar Flying for a couple of hours with +Mike Jones - a good day indeed.
