<itunes:summary>Gospel Music Roundup is pleased to present Crawford and Co, from Joplin Missouri!

In case they look familiar, it's because Justin Crawford, Peggy Crawford and Gary Crawford are the trio that make up Crawford And Co, formerly Known as Canaan Bound out of Joplin, Missouri.

I had the pleasure of catching up with them at a recent concert in Carthage Missouri. The Trio host the monthly concert, known as the "First Friday Sing" at Fairview Christian Church and are highly active in ministry with far-reaching efforts.

I've included a few of their songs in this episode, and love to share them in just about each new release of Gospel Music Roundup. Gary Crawford pens almost all of the group's music, and is the lead singer on many of the songs as well. Check them out at Crawford & Co's Website, by clicking here!</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Luke Chapter 2:15 " When the angels had gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds began saying to one another, “Let us go straight to Bethlehem then, and see this thing that has happened which the Lord has made known to us.”

16 So they came in a hurry and found their way to Mary and Joseph, and the baby as He lay in the manger. 17 When they had seen this, they made known the statement which had been told them about this Child. 18 And all who heard it wondered at the things which were told them by the shepherds.

19 But Mary treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart. 20 The shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them."
This edition of Gospel Music Roundup is all Christmas. Songs that raise the praise for the birth of our savior. You won't hear too much of me, so just enjoy the music and share it with your family and friends. Download the entire program to CD- and listen to it in your car, your friend's car, wherever!</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>This is a special edition of Gospel Music Roundup!
Today, we're going to listen in on a concert at Risen Ranch Cowboy Church, in Joplin Missouri, where that awesome trio, FAITH, out of Joplin Missouri, led us into worshipping our Lord and King!
With an amazing songset that contained mostly original songs penned by the girls, themselves, those that attended were brought into the presence of our Master and filled with the Holy Spirit.
Amy Carver, Ivy Ortman and Rachel Worthington put on a wonderful event, bringing us, musically, into their very lives with inspired lyrics, touching testimonies, and even got their kids into the act in three of the songs.
Faith has just put out a brand new CD, their third, entitled,"A little Bit Of Faith." if you would like to find out more, just visit their website at faithofjoplin.com. There you will be able to listen, purchase and even download their music. While you are there, be sure to check out their photos and biography.
For now, though, sit back, relax (if you can) and ENJOY the music from FAITH, right here, on Gospel Music Roundup!</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>Hebrews 2:6-8

“What is man, that You remember him?
Or the son of man, that You are concerned about him?
7 “You have made him [h]for a little while lower than the angels;
You have crowned him with glory and honor,
[i]And have appointed him over the works of Your hands;
8 You have put all things in subjection under his feet.”

For in subjecting all things to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him. But now we do not yet see all things subjected to him.

Across these United States, we are approaching that holiday we've called, "Thanksgiving." a wonderful time, when families get together, enjoying great food, football, and of course, each other's company.
We've all heard the story of the first thanksgiving, but have you ever thought about your last "Thanksgiving"? Not so much the Holiday, but the words that part your lips in thanks to our savior for what He has done in your life and through your life?
We are quick to sound off, with all the problems we are facing, and some of us even manage to throw in a cursory, "Praise the Lord, anyhow!" But, how often have we THANKED HIM for the hardships? These are what strengthen us, and prepare us for spiritual warfare.
In this episode of Gospel Music Roundup, we will be looking into a number of reasons and scenarios where we might want to take the time to thank the Lord for His blessings, His faithfulness, and His guidance! Sure, we will still thank Him for the family, the food, and the football, but for this hour, let's take it a step further and thank Him in ALL things!</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>Ruth 1:16-18
But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your peopleshall be my people, and your God, my God.

17 “Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. Thus may the LORD do to me, and worse, if anything but death parts you and me.”

18 When she saw that she was determined to go with her, she said no more to her.
When God prepares you for service, He has promised to prepare you, Equip you and guide you. He is our fortress, our Rock, our covering, our shelter in the storm. But all of this is not to send you away from Him, but rather, to draw you closer to living IN HIM.

Throughout our walk with Him, we will go through various stages, most of which are there to craft us into His image, and to learn His was. Sometimes, He will bring someone into your life as a helper, a friend, a guide in times of trouble. Yes, we have this in Jesus. But that is also something that grows within us, and God seems to see fit to pair up friends, brothers and sisters, even business partners who have that like mindset of serving Him, Following Him, and loving Him. Sometimes, we find these people in our churches and congregations, our schools, our work or even across the miles- and His mighty Love creates a bond, that you know you can talk to that other person and they will read your heart as you speak. As each of you go through life, you help each other through, and eventually you realize just how much a part of your life they have become; Even in the midst of trials and tribulations and personal struggles, they are there for you, clearly demonstrating the Love of God. That, my friends, is our own personal miracle that comes only from a life-long attempt to walk closer to Him, and to share the love, the life, the gifts that He has given you.

In the above verse, Ruth had become just that kind of partner, friend and companion to her mother-in-law, Naomi, and valued that relationship far more than ever having a husband, again. Wherever she would go, Ruth would follow. So it was with the apostles of Jesus; in the final days of His time, here on earth, Jesus admonished his apostles to love one another as He had loved them. As such, our relationship to each other is to be as Jesus was to each other as well.
John 13:34-35

34“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35“By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”.
Think of your time here on earth as your practice session- your preparation- to live In His Presence, for eternity, and act to each other accordingly as eternal neighbors!

There is a spirit of unrest in the land- and no, it's not political. It's not the economy. It's something that no government or legislation or committee can fix or repair or develop a referendum on. It's a matter of the heart.

Despite all the media noise about political unrest at home and abroad, or about the condition of the world economy, there is one thing that we all need that can carry us through the worst of situations or disasters. That is Love.

Our bodies may get cold or hot or ill or hungry, but when we have a confidence that we are loved, and have love inside us, we can bear up under the worst of circumstances.
I Peter 1:22-25 NASB

22Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart, 23for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.

24For,
“ALL FLESH IS LIKE GRASS,
AND ALL ITS GLORY LIKE THE FLOWER OF GRASS.
THE GRASS WITHERS,
AND THE FLOWER FALLS OFF,

25BUT THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURES FOREVER.”
And this is the word which was preached to you.

Don't listen to those who would prejudice you by telling you that others hate you. Don't be swayed by what you hear in the news media. Yes, people- men and women- are going to disappoint and hurt youl; there may be moments in time where you are unsure of just where you will find the love that your mind and body need for strength. But when mere humans fail you- US, that is the time that you need to realize that the one constant TRUE love is the Love of God.
John 3:16. Most people have heard this verse over and over again, and Praise God, the truth of it never strains or struggles. But more importantly, one needs to read on beyond the single verse;
16“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17“For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18“He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19“This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. 20“For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21“But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.”
In this episode of Gospel Music Roundup, we are going after your heart; Your salvation comes through Jesus Christ. with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the Love of God fills you. But it's up to you to accept it, receive it, believe it, and yield to it.

You know those magical, amazing moments you read about in books or seem to only see in the movies? Yeah, it's like that. Only REAL!

We will be hearing from:

 <itunes:summary>1 John 3:2
Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.
What an amazing and powerful verse! We, the children of God, we don't see quite yet just what he is making of us, creating us to be, and yet we have the blessed assurance upon the return of Jesus, we will be as He is, pure and holy, right and true. We are going to have the high honor of seeing Him, face to face, glory to glory, in the presence of His holiness. In the meantime, He is crafting us to be as He is, and step by step we gain a closer vision of his magnifigance!
Welcome to Gospel Music Roundup! I am Tom Whiteman, your host for the next hour, featuring independent Southern Gospel, Western Gospel Bluegrass Gospel and so much more that honors and praises our lord and king in word, song, and deed~ These artists are independent artists and musicians, but only in the sense that they choose to serve God first, Praise Him any way they know how, and minister with their craft unabashed!
This week, I found a group that I would love for you to hear, out of Knoxville, TN; The ANCHOR-HOLDS, with APRIL HUMPHREY, BRIAN Sexton & LISA SEXTON. This trio's mission is to tell the lost that Jesus is real and alive and God sent his son (Jesus) that whosoever would call upon his name could be saved. Their songs are crafted that thru them, they may be a blessing to God's people and to see the lost saved.

I love this, from their website:
The Anchor Holds

When the Job is gone, The Anchor Holds

When our friends are gone, The Anchor Holds
