#10 - Interview with Emperor X and a Demonstration in the Streets
One of my favorite concerts ever in NYC and one of my favorite CDs of 2005 were both by musician and Sunnyside, Queens resident, Emperor X. In this episode I have a concert/CD review plus an interview with Emperor X aka Chad Matheny. I also talk about how he spontaneously incited the first street demonstration I ever participated in.

Emperor X:
- The Emperor X songs featured in this episode are from his Central Hug record. In order of play they are Use Your Hands, Sfearion and Ainsley.

A Concert on the Go with Emperor X
Emperor X incited my first street demonstration ever. The video below shows this Pied Piper leading a group of fans, including me, through the streets of Tribeca. To hear how this priceless scene materialized, listen to this episode of GothamCast.
In the video, I’m directly in front of Emperor X carrying my wife’s blue coat. She is to my right carrying his small amp. The songs featured in this clip are both from Central Hug / Friendarmy / Fractal Dunes. The first song is Use Your Hands. The second is Ainsley, one of my favorite Emperor X cuts.
