I was watching Dexter today and was thinking about how there's kinda a different main rival serial killer each Season. I thought back to Season 1 and the fact that the serial killer was Dex's brother. As just one Season, that was freakin' awesome but I can't help but think that it takes away from all the other Seasons' serial killers. Each Season is a story in itself and I think each Season delves into more risky and dangerous territory, so it does step it up but it seems a shame that the whole Dexter's brother thing is over now. It's like we've already got to the end of the story and now we're seeing the aftermath.

If we translate this to Heroes, I think Heroes has the same problem. Season 1 was so tightly structured and so well-rounded and final that every other Season seems so separate from the original story. The Heroes get to grips with their powers while the villain, Sylar, emerges and our Heroes eventually overcome him using their strengths. Also, the poetry of having two empaths on two completely different sides and one finally defeats the other at the end makes it seem like the big game has already finished by the end of the first Season.

Going back to Heroes' comic book roots, it's a classic comic book theme to have the main bad guy keep returning after people think they died and eventually having one epic battle at the end where the hero defeats the villain. It just seems that that was all over by the first Season, so we have no goal that we're eventually going to get to in terms of good and bad. Yes, Pete and Sylar can fight again - maybe even for the final time where won wins forever - but so much has happened since then that it seems forced and not poetic and well-rounded enough. I don't know how else to explain it. It's like we're seeing things that happen to these characters with no marked end as opposed to seeing a written out journey that has a legitimate beginning, middle and end. This is also one of the reasons why I think it'd be good to end on Redemption maybe.

I think Lost has definitely combated this by having a firm structure set in stone since day 1. They were always gonna have 6 Season and they always knew what the main stops were on the journey to the end they knew they were going to have. Obviously, not the whole of Lost has been like this but still.

So, that leaves Dexter and Heroes with the problem. I can understand Dexter because it was made from the original books. if you're absorbing the story as a book, the path totally makes sense but as much as they've manipulated the TV show (very well, might I add,) they can't derive that much from the original story. So, what's Heroes' problem? I suppose you could say that it was trying to stay with the comic book theme of a well-rounded story arc but I somehow don't think that's enough.

Sorry for the people who don't watch Dexter and/or Lost but I've just been pondering this all day and had to get it out while I'm on this Orange juice high. Thanks.

...at least it seems so.

The actress, who's likeness was used for Sparrow Redhouse in the graphic novels, is listed to appear in the episode "Shadowboxing".

Sorry, my mistake. It seems as though the actress portrays the character "Allison" who is a member of the Psi Alpha Chi sorority. Only her likeness was used for Sparrow Redhouse in the graphic novels.

Hey All,
Greg Grunberg (Matt) recently did an interview with a radio station confirming that there is a MAJOR death and that this male character has already filmed their final scenes.

When the interviewers asked if it is Nathan? Grunberg said it was definitely not Nathan and that the Patrelli boys are safe for now. However, as he continued he said that the death was really sad for him almost giving me the feeling his character Matt was the one to be killed off the show!?

Greg has posted several pics via Twitter recently of him looking grim and some fans have felt that perhaps Matt is the one that will be killed. However, at the same time many keep saying that this character filmed their final scenes a few weeks ago.

The other only possibilities are Mohinder (who is confirmed for a couple episodes in the next few weeks), Hiro who is going through time with his bucket list, or perhaps Sylar!?

Thanks to everyone for the heads up for this interview and I did not post it sooner because I wanted to get the audio for you all to listen and make your own judgments.

It is a great interview where he talks also about filming the scenes with Quinto and how Mohinder makes his return. He of course talks about his iphone app Yowza and Band4TV!

There are no requirements, but if you are making animated ones please beware of the file sizes. Also, you do NOT have to use "The ODI" or the logo anywhere like Ben, but try to incorporate "Watch Live Save Heroes" or "Watch Heroes Live" or anything else similar.

My NBC contacts were really impressed last time with the support of wanting to keep the show on Monday nights and maybe move it to 9PM. I know they understand we are loyal fans but maybe doing something like this will make them REALLY understand.

So here is what I suggest you can do to help:

1) Use your Twitter and Facebook (and/or other Social Media) accounts to help spread the word to all of your Heroes Friends. On Twitter I suggest we all use the following hash tag: #WatchHeroesLive

This site has easy sharing tools to help spread the word so please try to use them.

2) If you have the time and ability to use PhotoShop or any other photo editing software to create banners or any other fan art then please feel free to create them and send them in. I will post them on the site for fans to grab and use on their own sites and to help spread the word!

I will post your art here and then once the FunZone is up and running the art will be placed there.
