As an author and business man, I can relate to how you said "He is bankrolling each of the students to the tune of $100,000 each, hoping that the combination of youth, passion, genius and a significant amount of capital backing will result in truly world-changing innovations. Instead of getting tied down with tens of thousands of dollars in student loan debt, these college students will have two years of freedom to pursue their entrepreneurial passion". I hope more people discover your blog because you really know what you're talking about. Can't wait to read more from you!

Their gullibility is hard to ignore and this opens a wide door for anyone looking to make the most of the oppurtunity presented. The restauarant will only serve what the consumer enjoys.. , not everyone is a gourmand and neither is everybody willing to pay the price for the ''quality'' of the product. To survive however either in the media race or the race in gourmet it becomes very vital to subscribe to the needs of the consumer. God forbid if there is day when people lose the sense of "good food" (which is bound to happen if what the youth of today classifies as "good food" is something to go by..) then we may eventually lose out on the finer cuisines that we now not of, such appears to be the case with Journalism. The news media is catering to what the 'veiwing public' wants.. I would love to read your opinion of how this shallow / pseudo intellectual degeneration can be eradicated, what we can actually do about it....by the way.. let me introduce myself, Hi, I am Sagar Narasimha. Unfortunately, while the Indian services industry has
taken-off in a big way, we are yet to better learn some of these softer

Unfortunately most Indian players are bad at giving bad news. They butter it up a lot which the customer perceives as "OK" status. When the project fails they are shocked and the vendor is in deep trouble normally causing the project to be scrapped, money to be lost and most importantly, the relationship broken.
Say before a solution goes live we need to set something configuration ON but the vendor forgot it and caused huge performance issue with the web site.
Saying that we are setting that configuration as a tactical solution is bad. Vendor should accept the fact that they forgot, set it and move on. But then what happens in reality is completely different.
