Description : In order to undertake carriageway resurfacing works at Glasgow Cross, High Street will be closed southbound between Bell Street and Gallowgate from Monday 6th until Friday 10th February 2012.Trongate will also be closed between Albion Street and High Street from Monday 6th until Wednesday 8th February 2012.

Description: Due to essential Scotland Gas Networks gas main refurbishment works, temporary traffic signals will be in operation on all arms of the Nitshill Road, Peat Road junction. The temporary signals will be in place from 0930hrs on Monday 6 February 2012 until 1600hrs on Sunday 19 February 2012.
Delays are expected especially during peak times.
Drivers are advised to use an alternative route if possible.

Glasgow East - Moncur Street(Ward 9)

Description: Due to a dangerous building at the junction of Moncur Street at Gibson Street, Moncur Street is closed from Bain Street to Kent Street. Gibson Street is also closed between the Gallowgate and Moncur Street. Local access will be maintained where possible.

The dangerous building will require to be demolished and once these works have taken place the subsequent road closures will be removed. At this stage it is unclear how long demolition works will last.

Glasgow East - Dalmarnock Road (Ward 9)

Description : The on-going major bridge replacement works at Dalmarnock Railway Station have now progressed sufficiently to permit a partial re-opening of Dalmarnock Road between Bartholomew Street and Springfield Road.Dalmarnock Road will therefore be re-opened to through traffic from 0700hrs on Wed 18th Jan 2012 (but will however be restricted to one traffic lane in each direction through the works area between Nuneaton Street and Dalmarnock Service Station).This arrangement will remain in place until the East End Regeneration Route opens in May 2012, from when two traffic lanes in each direction will again be available on Dalmarnock Road.It should also be noted that the Nuneaton Street / Dalmarnock Road junction will re-open fully from 0700 on Wed 18th Jan 2012.

Glasgow East - London Road between Abercromby Street and Fielden Street (Ward 9)

Diversions: London Road is now closed between Fielden Street and Abercromby Street. Westbound traffic will have local access on London Road to Olympia Street. Westbound Diversion: Fielden Street, Crownpoint Street, Abercromby Street and rejoin London Road. Eastbound Diversion: Abercromby Street, Gallowgate, Fielden Street and rejoin London Road.

Description: Due to dangerous building, London Road is currently closed to ALL traffic between Abercromby Street and Fielden Street. The road will remain closed while engineers inspect the property in question and further updates will be issued when more information becomes available.
