It attempts to use personal information, such as birth date and birth name to determine the vibration characteristics of an individual. It puts those two inputs into a set of mathematical formulas that determine the vibration level of that person. Past experience, apparently, has shown that vibration level determines a person’s character and personality.

As a result, Numerology attempts to use mathematical design to predict who a person is – and also how that person will react to certain circumstances. Just for fun, I did a free numerology reading online and it was fun to see just how close the reading was to my own perception of self. I’m not sure that mathematical models can predict a person’s personality, but it’s fun to find out. The website I used was at: http://numerologyguide.net, just in case you want to see what a numerology reading will say about you.

If you are looking for good design look no farther than modern day digital pianos and keyboards. Compared to the old upright piano I played when I was a child, these new digital keyboards provide a lot more bang for the buck. Many can be easily stored or carried almost anywhere. Some truly are portable and will run on battery power.

Depending upon the model, they provide a host of features that make playing music a ton of fun. For example some will output with a number of different voices – otherwise known as different instrumental sounds. With many you can provide a background drumbeat for your songs, and some even allow you to add a complete backup band. Some digital keyboards, like the Yamaha YPT230, allow you to record the song you are playing. This 61-key Yamaha keyboard allows you to play the song back so that you can critique it, which is a great learning technique. But you can also play it back and then play along with the recording. It’s almost like having a partner sitting on the piano bench with you.

A digital piano like the YPT-230 provides excellent acoustic quality. In fact, it’s sound is based on Yamaha’s concert pianos, and analyzed in producing concert level grand pianos for almost 100 years, so they know what they’re doing.

I think if I’d had a digital keyboard when our young, I might not have stopped after a couple of years of lessons!

I’ve never been a great fan of weather predictive technology and it’s mainly because of personal experience. At least three times a week I’m outside at soccer practice and I long ago learned not to pay attention to the local weather report. They either get it wrong, or they get it right but they’re five hours late. Either way, the bad weather that’s predicted usually doesn’t affect my practice or game.

There is one example of effective design in terms of weather prediction that I find myself using with much better success. That’s the radar maps that weather prediction websites like weather network.com now provide to their viewers.

You can see in real time when the clouds are going to roll in over your area. The radar map indicates the nature of precipitation dropped from those clouds. For example, the color of the clouds will indicate whether you’re about to have a light drizzle, or a major shaking, monsoon of a thunderstorm. The best thing about it is you can tell with a fair degree of certainty when the rain will start and when it will stop. It tends to be accurate to about 15 minutes in our area, although I can’t say that it’s infallible.

If you’re a weather aficionado, I found a website that provides lots of news and information about weather-related topics. It’s called the Wacky Weather Watcher, and it’s a treasure trove of information for those of you who are weather fans. You can click the link below if you’re interested in checking it out. Click here to see the Wacky Weather Watcherwebsite.
