For all the possibly soon to be single ladies in the room tonight

You've just found out that you're married to a douchebag (and by that I mean, probably your friend is married to a douchebag, because if your actual first thought upon this discovery is to make a game about it, you should definitely be posting to more contests) and you need a clarifying mechanism to understand how to proceed. And why not a tile-laying game? Cheaper than counseling! So, For all the possibly soon to be single ladies in the room tonight is a game to discover what you want out of your 3-18 month future.

Jackal

Jackal is a partnership card game where conventions play a huge part.

Equipment:
4 players
Standard deck of 52 cards
Pen and paper for scorekeeping

Preparations:
Divide the players into two teams of two players. Seat the players so that every player sits in between two opponents.

How to play a deal:
The cards are shuffled and dealt so that every player gets 13 cards.

In each turn the player in turn simply plays one card from his hand face up on the table. It can be any card.

Equipment:
4-6 players
Trivial Pursuit
10 poker chips for each player

Preparations:
Each player is given 10 poker chips and a playing piece. The playing pieces are placed in the center of the board.

Hidden Identity

Award-Winning Game

Winner - Change of Venue

Many players
1 Master/player

Preparation:
When players arrive, they will be handed six pieces of paper and pencil with instructions to write down a noun on each of three and an everyday problem on the other three. ie. blueberry, furnace, Sea Captain; no pencil during a pop quiz, bad breath, forgot keys.

Put all nouns in a basket, put all problems in a different basket.

To play:
Everyone choses a noun, this is their Identity.

Double GM's

We have sometimes played Paranoia with two GM's. The GM's shared the duties so that one GM played NPC's while another GM took care of other GM'ing activities. The major advantage was that NPC's got more depth in their personalities, since there was a dedicted GM for them.

Fireplace Poker

Fireplace Poker is a Poker - Rummy - beating game hybrid for two players.

Equipment

2 players

5 standard 52 card decks shuffled together, no jokers

A cribbage board or 62 poker chips, each worth one point.

Deal
The five decks are shuffled together so that they form one huge deck. Each player is dealt a hand of 13 cards. The rest of the cards form the draw deck.

Turn
