Daryl Metcalfe is not a splitter candidate. He is running his own campaign for Lt. Governor. I'm hopeful that he takes ALL of the votes away from the party elite Cawley.

Metcalfe looks like a splitter candidate whose purpose is to take away western PA conservative votes to help Cawley.

Sorry if anyone's upset, but that's how I see it.

There's too many "outsider" candidates in this race and I suspect one or more of them is doing the bidding of the insiders in an insidious way.

Conservatives must research the alternatives and unite behind one candidate to beat Cawley.

Santorum needs to apologize for his pattern of wrongdoing as in insider politician helping business as usual and or pro-abortion hacks all over the United States and in Pennsylvania. He needs to do a Tiger Woods for being an "insider politician" and an "establishment addict." "I, Rick Santorum, am solely responsible for being a typical two-faced, phony politician...." The phony image he now projects on Fox News and in forums online like LifeSitenews disgusts me. Huckabee is probably afraid of Santorum feeding on his turf and could likely be behind the calls.

I don't like Corbett at all, I do like Rohrer & might vote for him as time goes on. Metcalf is an over the top extremest that I could never support for a state wide office, just my opinion.

I suspect someone or people from the Specter camp have gotten to this guy and told him he stands a chance of winning. I'll also predict he gets enough financial backing to stay in the race until the primary but never have enough money to put on a really strong campaign to actually win. I've seen this ploy happen before when it didn't look good for the establishment candidate and it isn't looking good for Specter.

Rich--I like Darryl's tax cutting work, but his rhetoric is far too angry to be effective across the state. It may play well in a conservative county like his, but not statewide. There are others running who share his values for the most part who aren't going to scare the hell out of the swing voters we need to win in November.

And you have every chance to make those decisions for yourself. That's one thing people forget about endorsements. They are a suggestion. No one is forced to leave the race. There was an endorsement for Lt. Governor by the Republicans, yet there are at least another half dozen people running, including Russ Diamond.
