When some friends asked Johnny to join them for a night out, little did he know he was going to meet the woman of his dreams. He couldn’t take is his eyes off her once he caught a first glance. He walked over to her introduced himself and somewhere in the conversation remarked, “You are going to be my woman”. She laughed and told him yeah right. That was the beginning of Johnny and Julie’s love story. Their wedding day was beautiful, no rain in sight, it was a nice sunny day in Houston and we starting filming bright and early at the Intercontinental Hotel where Johnny was staying. On this day we were capturing both photography and video. Johnny was looking forward to the traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony they were to attend later that morning. Being of Puerto Rican decent this was new to him yet he was very excited and was looking forward to the ceremony. He had to wear traditional Vietnamese cloths for the tea ceremony

From the Intercontinental hotel it was off to Julie’s house for the tea ceremony. Johnny and his family created a procession bearing various gifts covered with bright red cloth for the bride’s family. In a traditional Vietnamese wedding ceremony the groom presents several gifts and once the gifts are accepted the bride is brought out to meet her groom.  Julie looked very excited to see Johnny and he in turn smiled broadly.  At the Catholic mas we witnessed them exchange vows in a beautiful ceremony where they read the first and second gospel readings.

Their reception was held at the Kim Son restaurant Stafford near Houston. It was a night filled with lots of dancing to a live Latin band and their guests were treated to a wonderful performance by Tipico Dancers from Panama. Julie and Johnny had a fabulous evening and beautiful day. We hope you enjoy their wedding video highlight.

                          

Kaci and Garret were married at a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Austin. As she walked away from the ceremony Kaci looked very pleased with how everything had turned out for their wedding. She turned and remarked to Garrett how beautiful everything was. Watching them walk away I was glad we were there to create a permanent memory of their wedding day.

Kaci looked stunning in her wedding dress, Garret was certainly impressed when he first laid eyes on her during their first look. He was all smiles, turning around as she approached and walking towards her. He gave her a hug and then a gentle kiss all the while whispering into her ear. We all looked on as they had a moment and she proudly spun around to show him the rest of the dress.

The reception was fun with lots of dancing and cake. It was a beautiful evening and a beautiful day, one that Kaci and Garret will remember for a long time to come.

                          

She made him a beautiful book of pictures and attached a note. He was blown away by the pictures and moved by her words hitting him from the page. The day had finally come and they were getting married. A love story that began somewhere, some place perhaps a destiny fulfilled. Chelsea and Josh were getting ready to travel a path many had wrangled. Her bridesmaids and mum were there to support her and once here makeup was complete she shared a toast with them. It was an emotional moment filled with great anticipation.

Josh smiled broadly and was cool and collected. He was ready to get this show on the road. It was a beautiful day at Villa Antonia the venue they chose for their nuptials. The Tuscan style villa sits in the Texas hill country a few miles from Austin and a short drive from the city of Jonestown. In her wedding dress Chelsea looked stunning and happy. Josh stood alone, anticipating her touch as she approached from behind him. He could hear her footsteps, then her voice and that laughter he had grown accustomed to. He asked if he could turn around and was amazed when he did. She looked so beautiful and he told her as much. In that moment he was very proud and it showed.

After sharing vows at the well-attended ceremony, Josh and Chelsea danced the night away. They were excited about being husband and wife and that all the planning had paid off. It was late and every one had lined up outside, Chelsea and Josh emerged smiling and waving to their guests amidst whooping and hollering. The Joyous occasion had finally come to an end and we looked on as they road of into the night and to a new life togher.

                          

Downtown Austin has several unique places you can hold a wedding or a wedding reception. One of those places used to be The Belmont of Sixth street, unfortunately they have closed. Michael and Hyun had their reception there and I enjoyed photographing the wedding reception and spending the evening with them.

Michael and Hyun got married in a beautiful ceremony in South Korea.  Michael lives in Austin and since most of his friends could not make it to their Korean wedding they decided to have their wedding reception at downtown Austin Texas. We took several pictures that day, here are a few portraits I captured for them.

It was fairly late in the evening and we had just returned from the Austin Bridal Extravaganza show.  We checked email and found several messages. One of those messages was from Joy, she was getting married in Austin Texas.  Her Austin wedding was going to be at the beautiful Villa Antonia located in the Texas Hill country near Jonestown and a short drive from Austin. She was very excited about our wedding videography and wanted to chat.

Their wedding was 8 months away and Joey was in Afghanistan.  He was however coming home and she couldn’t wait to see him.  She flew apache helicopters in Afghanistan and would be deploying again after the wedding.  That evening  Joy  booked Graymask right way and we started planning her wedding film.  We thought Joey’s arrival should be captured as it was part of their love story and would create a memory they could share for a long time to come. We worked hard to get the logistics in place to cover his arrival at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.

From the moment they met at West Point on the stairs leading to the Cadet Chapel they have been inseparable. Overtime they fell  in love culminating with their magnificent wedding in Austin. Joy and Joey were so easy to work with and we had a really fun shoot.

Joey proposed in Kuwait and the rest is now history! Enjoy the highlight film we created for them .

                          

It has been a while since we featured any weddings on the blog. It has been a very busy year and we are very thankful to all our fans for the success we continue to enjoy.  Today we bring you the beautiful wedding of Sean and Blessy. Sean was very excited about getting married and wanted Graymask to capture every moment. Sean and Blessy really liked Leslie and Jennie’s wedding video. When we spoke he told me about what he and Blessy were planning for the big day.

Their wedding ceremony was truly unique held at a beautiful Parkway Hills Baptist Church. They shared traditional vows to a packed church.  Then we were off to the reception and to an entrance that stole the show.  Yes it was a nice surprise for every one as Sean and Blessy danced their way into the reception along with the wedding party. Tanika and Glenn’s wedding was a lovely occasion at the Northgate Country Club right outside of Houston.  Their exchange of vows was unique as it happened in 2 different languages.  We are much honored they chose to share their beautiful wedding with us.  Here is the highlight reel of their special day.

                          

Nina’s wedding reception was intimate and very cozy.  The dimly lit interiors of the Renaissance hotel made it even more so.  Nina and Munaf were so excited that the day had finally come where they could share their love for each other with their friends and family. I was struck by fact that Munaf was still standing at the end of the evening. He had arrived from Dubai just a few days ago and I thought the Jet lag and the time zone would get the better of him. I was certainly wrong and that made for a very fun evening. No one could get Nina off the dance floor, she certainly gave new meaning to dancing the night away and Munaf had to keep up.  They are the nicest couple you could ever meet and we are glad they chose Graymask to share their special evening.

                          

I like to think all our couples are amazing because there is always something special about each and every one of them. For Donielle and Doug what stood out was the fact that Donielle is patient, kind and gracious. Doug is friendly and Down to earth and together they are dynamite.
We arrived early at the Hilton Houston North hotel. With large ballrooms and a very attentive staff Donielle and Doug couldn’t have picked a better wedding venue for their Houston wedding. Once we figured out which rooms they were getting ready we put together a plan for the wedding coverage. The weather was great and the day went by so quickly it was hard to believe. The wedding was beautiful and very classy. Their wedding planner was the amazing Heather Hamilton Sims from Simply Jubilee Events. She made sure everything run smoothly and kept us informed with updates of all the activities.
The reception was equally fantastic and felt like being at a large family gathering with lots of tradition. In the highlight we tried to give you a sense of the day, the pulsating love between Donielle and Doug, the very cute gift exchange and the beautiful Nigerian culture.

Diane and Frank had the most romantic wedding at Diane’s home. It was a beautiful backyard ceremony filled with lots of emotion and true love. The day started with lots and lots of rain and we were all hoping it would be over by the time the wedding ceremony begun. It was certainly wishful thinking because the rain took a pause then started again. We were filming with Canon 5D II and 7D s and were naturally concerned about getting the gear wet. Plastic bags to the rescue! Yes that is all it took to get us out there. Frank arrived bearing gifts for the traditional tea and candle ceremony. Diane looked gorgeus in her gown as she and Frank tried to navigate the intricacies of the traditional wedding. The day turned out to be an incredibly successful day despite the rain. I call it showers of blessings and glad we shared it with an equally incredible couple.
We think Frank and Diane are very kool not just because they gave us vendor bags but also because they made as feel like family. I often get asked what inspires our wedding highlight, i.e. how do you know which footage to use. In this trailer, We wanted to show the genuine love Frank and Diane share for each other, their commitment through their vows at the ceremony and finally the beauty and unique feel of the wedding. We love this wedding highlight so very much and hope you do too.

It was a beautiful Saturday morning then came the rain. I call them showers of blessings because it was the wedding day of Shinoj and Biji. So the outdoor ceremony they had planned would not happen but judging from how upbeat everyone was you knew nothing was going to stop this wedding celebration.

Shinoj has a larger than life personality and I immediately took a liking to him. Biji on the other hand is soft spoken and very sweet. I thought how perfectly they compliment each other. This by far was one of the most exciting weddings we have filmed thanks to Shinoj and his animated groomsmen who kept us all cracking up with their endless antics.

For the highlight film we thought the tune Tenu Leke a good choice as Biji and Shinoj walked into their reception to that tune. Keeping with the theme of their wedding which gave us a mix of the traditional “suits” with the casual “gym shoes” we thought the wedding highlight should convey a similar mix. enjoy! It’s not often we get to film two wedding ceremonies in one day. Christina and Nandan’s wedding was an interesting mix of two cultures and two religions. We started the day of with a Catholic wedding ceremony at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and then it was of to the traditional Hindu wedding ceremony. Everyone was excited and the was a sense of curiosity from each side.  I asked Nandan if he was nervous as I placed a wireless mic on his lapel. He said no way, he couldn’t wait for the ceremony to be over. So when his beautiful bride Christina walked down the aisle I watched for his reaction. Yep you guessed it, like the many men that have come before him he was over whelmed by emotion and could not hold back his tears of joy. I thought this was a beautiful moment. Genuine emotion that showing the commitment and love between them.

It was a beautiful Texas day and we thought it wise to take the bride and groom outside for a short walk. This gave us the opportunity to capture some fun moments of them just being themselves. Their reception at the Houstonian Hotel in Houston Texas was filled with fun activities. Here is the highlight of their beautiful wedding.

                          

We love shooting engagement photo sessions because they usually represent some of the happiest moments in a couple’s life as they embark on their life long journey. It is the beginning of an exciting time and a bold leap of faith to commit to loving each other till the very end. In my mind the recipe for a good engagement session is not the location or the poses but rather the palpable love that exist between two people. That is really the secret ingredient between an ok engagement session and an awesome photo session. We rarely share pictures on the blog but we hope so share more engagement sessions, bridals and weddings in the New Year. We shot this engagement photo session in Austin Texas earlier this year. Today we present to you the incredible wedding of Faeba & Sam. Once again we were at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas where Leslie and Jennie got married earlier this year. The day started bright and early at the Anatole with Faeba in high spirits and anxious to marry Sam. She and her bridesmaids got ready and after prayer it was off to the wedding ceremony at the Heights Baptist Church.  It was a picture perfect day with everything going without a hitch. Sam seemed very excited and although hectic we had a fantastic day filming and capturing some truly beautiful memories.  Faeba and Sam’s wedding is our last wedding of the year and we couldn’t ask for a more genuine and loving couple to spend the day with. Hanging out with Shauntrice and Phillip you quickly get the sense they are made for each other. The love they share between them is palpable and made filming their beautiful wedding in Houston even more exciting. So it was a beautiful day for a wedding. We met Shauntrice and Phillip at the Belin Chapel which is located on the campus of the Houston Baptist University. Shauntrice looked super gorgeous in her wedding dress and I wondered what Phillip’s first thought would be once she walked down the aisle  After the ceremony we headed to Sambuca restaurant in Houston for their fun filled reception. An afternoon packed with good food, dancing and some good old fashioned stepping. See, both Shauntrice and Phillip are proud of the Sorority and Fraternity they belong to. They shared a hymn and the good time with their friends, the brothers and sisters from the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity and the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.
