Joe has a LOT of Taro that needs to be harvested, sorted, and replanted, and the offline team is able and willing to help. It is also good that Joe is allowing our workers to help him out because, gas is expensive, over $3 for a gallon, so having a job site near our building helps save gas and money. The UHH Pacific Aquaculture and Coastal Resources Center is only a few miles away compared to other work sites that our offline group visit. Brent&#8217;s tree house/classroom/greenhouse, is in Eden Rock, close to 30 miles away. The other site that the offline team visits frequently is the the Earthship which also about 30 miles away in Pahoa (you go East instead of South). The two previously mentioned sites, take quite a bit more gas than just driving through town, which is part of the reason that the offline crew has been working with Joe. </p>
