Considering the talents that have been working behind Bond 23 or now officially known as "Skyfall", there is no doubt that this will put that sourly tasted "Quantum of Solace" to its coffin for rest. "Skyfall" takes into a journey much high up into the hierarchy of both the MI6 and the secret organization known as "Quantum". Today, Sony Pictures and MGM have revealed the first trailer for this upcoming Bond saga, starring none other than Daniel Craig as the Agent 007 himself. Today, Green Tea Movie will presents to you two trailers - one from Ryan Gosling + Emma Stone and another one from Ben Affleck. Warner Bros releases and produces both movies, set for release at the end of this year just in time for the award season, both look like some form of high-octane thriller and both having their trailers have landed online now. 'Gangster Squad', a new movie by Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer from a script by Will Beall is about a true event concerning Los Angeles in 1949 where mobster rules the street. The movie stars the charismatic Ryan Gosling, enigmatic Emma Stone, the high octane Josh Brolin and the persuasive Sean Penn. With the range of casting talent we have in this one, it smells with a lot of potential Oscar acting nominations already surrounding it.

[UPDATE: We got a video to go along with it!! Watch it after the jump] Have you watched Marvel's The Avengers yet? Awesome? In case you haven't, please do take some times and really go and watch it. Green Tea Movie gave a near perfect score, for which you can read from here.

Here is something interesting that I managed to dig out from the net today. Apparently, we thought that the scene where (SPOILER ALERT!): Thanos is scheming a plan to invade the Earth with a smile on his face (SPOILER ENDS!) is the post-credit scene, well you are not 100% wrong. Apparently, there is another post-credit scene awaits you after that long end-credit.

Needless to say. The title says it all. In the epic conclusion of the ever famous Nolan's Batman universe, Oscar winner Christian Bale again plays the dual role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle; Tom Hardy, as Bane; Oscar winner Marion Cotillard, as Miranda Tate; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake. Returning to the main cast, Oscar winner Michael Caine plays Alfred; Gary Oldman is Commissioner Gordon; and Oscar winner Morgan Freeman reprises the role of Lucius Fox. The movie is set for worldwide release on July 20, 2012.

[NOW UPDATED with new figures] While the much anticipated movie has yet to debut in the United States soil, which it will open this weekend, the Walt Disney's produced megalith superhero movie has already seeing golds worldwide. According to rough estimation, Marvel's The Avengers has scored about US$178.4 million across 39 markets worldwide.I am expecting the number to be even higher once official tally is in and Gitesh Pandya reported that it has already reached US$185 million over the first weekend. GOLDEN SCREEN CINEMAS (GSC) 25th ANNIVERSARY DINNER

More than 750 guests from the Malaysian cinema industry were treated to a lavish Western sit down dinner as leading cinema exhibitor, Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) celebrated its Silver Anniversary this year. I guess I must say that it is an honor of attending this event, feels like I'm so big gun dude like that...oh well!

Held on April 20, the dinner served as a mark of appreciation for GSC business partners both foreign and local, associates and members of the media as GSC marks its 25 year journey from the year 1997 when Golden Communications and Cathay Cinemas were merged as the biggest single entity in the Malaysian cinema entertainment business. Those were the history but what is more important is what will the future goes for GSC.

The dinner was hosted in Sime Darby Convention Centre, Bukit Kiara and seen mingling amongst the guests were movie characters like Star Wars’ “White Troopers”, Martial Arts Maiden –‘”Chun Li”’ ,” Batman’ and “Predator”. In his welcome speech, GSC Chairman Gen (Rtd) Tan Sri Dato’ Mohd Ghazali Seth thanked everyone for their continued support . Also present was GSC Board of Directors, Mr. Tan Gee Sooi, Ms. Leong Choy Ying and Ms. Koh Mei Lee.

Seen at the event was Mr. Irving Chee (GSC General Manager), Mr. Stephane Dovert (Cultural Counsellor, Embassy of France) and his wife, Agnes Dovert (Alliance Francaise), Toyoda Shoici ( Director, Japan Foundation), En Mohd Naguib Razak (Finas) and En Zulkifle Abd Wahab (Finas).

Amongst the local personalities present were Jack Lim (Ah Beng The Movie fame), Aniu, Chris Tong, Rashidi Ishak, Federick Lee and Jojo Goh.

The guests for the night were treated to a special performance by the dynamic Syafinaz Selamat and the PUTERA group, followed by a lively dance performance Broadway Dancers.

Earlier this month, GSC gave out 25,000 free tickets to public to mark its anniversary day on April 1st. GSC will be organizing activities throughout the year in conjunction with its 25th anniversary celebrations which includes a nationwide contest, Carnival Saturdays in key locations and a major CSR project this year.

Also debuting in the events are some of the new uniforms for the GSC crews which you will be able (supposedly) to see beginning tomorrow.

May 2012 will not only see the arrival of The Avengers to the big screen but the beginning for the production of the third Iron Man movies. Expect the familiar faces to return; including Robert Downey Jr in his alloy suit, Gwyneth Paltrow as the lovely Ms. Pepper, Don Cheadle in the War Machine and Scarlett Johansson in the female fatale Black Widow. Not a complete casting I would say considering the villain role is still blank out there. There is a news resurfacing few hours ago that says Walt Disney has approached Sir Ben Kingsley for a role as the main villain. Green Tea Movie received one press release from Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) and thought that it would be a fool not to share this to everyone. For those who are observant or recently just had a short trip to the GSC's website or its official Facebook page, you will be greeted with one simple photo that carries the caption of "28 million people. Only 25,000 will make it. Will you be one of them?" For others, they might have be thinking this could be an April Fool's joke since the caption also states that it will be "coming to GSC, this 1st April."

Okay, just a gentle reminder. This post is not an April Fool's joke at all.

The numbers at this week's box office in the Northern America could change tomorrow but currently, Liosgate's cash crown-jewel 'The Hunger Games' registered itself on the record book as the third biggest box office opening weekend record of all time. With a huge turnout, 'The Hunger Games' scored an eye-popping $155 million for the first 3 days - an amount which also included Thursday midnight gross of $19.74 million. With the total three days number, 'The Hunger Games' beat 2007's third Spider-Man movie ($151 million) to claim the third place. Only the last Harry Potter installment ($169 million) and 'The Dark Knight' ($158 million) out-grossed it.
