As the Copenhagen Summit is our climate's last chance saloon, it would help if we all understood what's got to happen there. To make that simple, Green Thing has produced a Quick Recipe for a Successful Copenhagen with diplomacy illustrated through the medium of cookery. Watch it. Share it. Don't try to cook it. And remember, as Chef says: "It does not have to be pretty, it just has to work."

Featuring the hands of Marc Danbury, the lighting of Richard Laing, the camera support of Stuart Bunce, the post production of Magic Films, the dulcet tones of Daniel Lapaine and the writing and directing skills of Michael Wright from an original recipe by Green Thing. Serves 202 countries.

PS. Here Are Five Copenhagen Campaigns You Can Get Involved With...

Lord Stern goes Easy on the Meat

            type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent"
            width="515" height="350">

Lord Stern, the economist behind the Stern Report, the landmark paper that linked economic impact to climate change, today urged individuals around the world to go Easy on the Meat to save the planet.

Now we're delighted that he has raised this debate but sadly much of the coverage, particularly in The Times, has unhelpfully sought to polarise his position as "anti meat" and consequently raised a storm of protest from meat lovers. This forced Lord Stern to issue this clarification:

"I think that once people understand the great risks that climate change poses, they will naturally want to choose products and services that cause little or no emissions of greenhouse gases, which means 'low-carbon consumption'.

This will apply across the board, including electricity, heating, transport and food. A diet that relies heavily on meat production results in higher emissions than a typical vegetarian diet. Different individuals will make different choices. However, the debate about climate change should not be dumbed down to a single slogan, such as 'give up meat to save the planet'.

Green Thing could not agree more - and believes that moderation rather than absolution may be a more effective way to encourage the behaviour change that is clearly required.

So please check out Easy on the Meat for some inspiration and do the Green Thing.

So struck in fact, he was moved to start pointing and shooting.

“I saw the first one hanging on the railings by the crossing at the side off the road. I don’t think it had fallen there; it had been found and put there. When they find a lost glove on the ground, people have an instinct to put it somewhere where it can be seen, rescued and re-paired. I took its photograph.

Over the next few days, as my lonely glove awareness grew, I saw more and more gloves and took more and more photographs. They were in restaurants, in the street, in puddles and on Deal pier. In Tesco’s car park in York they were legion.

There’s always something sad and vulnerable about a lost lonely glove because gloves are meant to be paired for life. It prompts you to ask where the other half is and how they came to be separated.â€*

Now take the same person and make them the ultimate sticker, sticking with what they had wherever possible. How different would their lives be? That was question that the talented animators David Altweger, Mira Loew, Guillaume Cornet of Unit 10 Collective (<a href="http://www.unit10collective.com">www.unit10collective.com</a>) wanted to explore - with one super-ironic twist. What if that person was the world's premier consumption temptress, a certain Katherine Ann Moss?

The result is a brilliant slice of double stop frame fantasy exclusive to Green Thing.

David, Mira and Guillaume were given fabulous musical assistance by the brilliant people of Elmore Judd. The Sticky Kate music is by Jesse Hackett with Louis Hackett, Tom Skinner and Shabaka Hutchings featuring the voiceover talent of Jessie Mills. The Twisted Kate music is by Jesse Hackett with Tom Kenyatta's production, graced by Jessie's voice over again.

And after-effects and flash cleverness were provided by Aaron Trinder, Steven Qua and Debbie Brooks.

Huge twisted/sticky thanks to them all

"Always remember" Kabu Sensei teaches us "each vegetable has its season". And so it is so.

Here, for the first time, gathered in one place, transported by mule from the mountain temple of Kabu Sensei, centuries of seasonal wisdom can be found.

Use these gifts wisely and well
