This painting has been selected to be in Academy Graphic Communications 10th annual edition of "52 Works, 52 Weeks."

"52 Works, 52 Weeks" is a glossy spiral bound desk calendar featuring works from selected artists of Northeast Ohio. It is a nice survey of some of the art being produced in the region.

The Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts have selected my painting "Reflect" to receive the VLA's
Annual Commission Award.

The VLA provides oversight and direction to a pro bono program providing legal services to income-eligible artists and arts organizations in all disciplines, as well as develops public law-related education programs for artists and arts organizations.

This painting will be shown at the Artist Archives of the Western Reserve annual Members Show.

"The 2011 Holiday Members Show and Sale continues a tradition of showcasing the works of the area's best known and most highly regarded artists", AAWR Executive Director, Kenneth Goerg.

The public is invited to attend the free opening reception - Friday, November 18, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The Artists Archives of the Western Reserve is located at 1834 E. 123^rd Street in University Circle. The show runs through Friday, December 16, 2011. Regular gallery hours are Wednesday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm and Saturday from 12 pm to 4 pm.

The AAWR has attracted several of Ohio’s most distinguished artists. As a result, the AAWR's Annual Holiday Members Show and Sale is fast becoming known as one of Cleveland’s best high-profile exhibitions.

I'll be showing this op. piece in The Cleveland Artists Foundation inaugural member's show, Cleveland Creates.

Cleveland has a strong history in op-art and I suppose some of that has rubbed off on me. I've created several large paintings in this vein but have rarely shown them. I have several more in mind that I hope to get started on soon.

This Friday is the third Friday of the month...that means it's another "3rd Friday at 78th Street!"
The gallery will be open from 5pm until 9pm (or there abouts).

The 78th Street Studios complex is over 2 city blocks of gallery and studio openings all under one roof. There is always a lot to see.

I painted this Pretty Pink Poodle to be auctioned off June 3, 2011 as part of the 7th annual Art Fur Animals benefit for The Friends of City of Cleveland Kennel. This is a great organization that is dedicated to providing the necessary medical & general care for the animals at the City of Cleveland Kennel in the hopes of giving them a second chance at a good life. The event is lots of fun and I'm proud to have contributed for the past several years.

This is a local branch of a national organization that provides a unique after school program for kids in low income neighborhoods. This 13"x13" oil on canvas cloudscape will be auctioned off April 16 at ArtCares 2011, the signature fundraiser for The Aids Taskforce of Greater Cleveland. The benefit is sponsored by Nordstroms and Toby Devon Lewis.

Location: Park Power House (in the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood on Cleveland’s Near West Side) on Saturday, April 16th at 7:00pm for VIPs, and 8pm for the public.

This annual event arose from awareness of the devastating impact the AIDS epidemic has had on individuals involved in the creative arts community, and from a consequent awareness that artists are uniquely positioned to contribute to the fight against HIV/AIDS. ArtCares celebrates contemporary art with both a silent and live auction of donated work.
