I found out on Twitter following one of my friends, Karim, an interesting presentation about Social Media Optimization and couple ideas on how we could measure it.
- Number of influential people who tweet something about us
- Number of features suggested by users that we actually implement
- Number of minutes a day we are nice to customers
-etc..

Also, take a look at the quantitative and qualitative exemples of Starbucks and Burger King. It's worth a shoot..

iPhone - a real copy/paste soon?

A good video showing the real first attempt to add a very useful functionality that have been missing for months on the iPhone: copy/paste with Pastebud.
It's working when you copy from Safari to Mail OR from Safari to Safari but it's an important first step and maybe some developpers might get existing and found a better and more user-friendly way.

If you need a great free software to edit, swatch color or change visual, Aviary.com is one of a kind. The main advantage is that you can use it on your own browser without downloading anything. Beautiful!

I can’t help thinking that is not yet as powerful as Photoshop but moving forward it might be a competitor or at least this king of browser-based application.

They have a lot additional extension in the pimp that we might heard soon.

I found 2 slideshows to present how the web 2.0 can help you in your job.

First, I read an article on Moovement's blog which is a french website to find a job.
I really link to follow their blog because they usually have a lot of interesting overview on the market.

I had to find a new tracking tool as I don't think Google Analytics is the best tool.
Andy taught me about this free tool that you could eventually upgrade if you pay for it.

I believe this tool is not only more user-friendly than Google Analytics or Xiti but also the server is not crashing so I won't loose any information as it happened with analytics.

Here is a screen shot of the tool. I would add new comments about the tool as soon as I have more dig a little bit more.

I didn't like my Gmail because it was too white and I didn't like the ads on the right hand side. A company made it simple to change the layout of your Gmail in 1 click. It's an easy 5 steps process:

1. Add Stylish 0.5.6 to your Mozilla Firefox.
2. Restart your firefox
3. Go here and click on "Load" to start Stylish.
4. A pop-up will come show-up. You will to click "save".
5. Enjoy a new Gmail, more modern!

I'm dying to see Soocial it's supposed to be better than Plaxo.
The goal to manage our contacts from Outlook, iPhone, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.. through only one interface. Whenever one of your contact update is information it's updating is info everywhere.
I will send you the invit' when I have it.. Below you will see the presentation of Soocial done in Amsterdam.

It seems to be very trendy to talk about Twitter so I'll do the same.
Twitter is website that helps you connect with your all community outside the websites. You can send short message to your friends or even follow somebody.

I only see one value to Twitter; talk or follow your friends. Don't follow the people you don't know because you could get thousands of text message per day unless you have time.

If you are planning to see a "influencer" then it's better to follow him through Friends Feed. It will gives you an overview of all the website the "influencer" is browsing, collecting info and even meet is friends.

I didn't write for a week because I have been busy at my work.
Also, I've been reading a lot to understand all the differences between Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), (x)HTML (Extensible) HyperText Markup Language. I will give you an update later on.

Time is running and fast...I had some trouble to get started the website but now we are on the right path. Therefore, I can present you 3 open Source web-application we are investigating to create the website. Check the 3 screen shot below and I will explain you the differences later on..

One of my friends from France, Vincent, showed me this great website called Site Sucker to suck the html code of all the websites you like. It just takes couples minutes and it creates a folder with all the pages related, an image folder and a css.
Then, it's up to you to change the content, the layout and put it on your server. I don't recommand to do it, obviously.

Union Square hosted a funny event riht in front of Whole Foods and the entrance of the subway:

It might sound a little bit crazy but this event took place in several cities around the world such as Toronto, Chicago, Zurich, Boston, Shanghai and many more..

Simple Create a DB

DB = Data Base.

Right now, I'm focusing on how I can create a simple and a fast DB who could support couple of customer info. As people would be connected one to another, I have to find the best solution.
Nonetheless, I have no IT or programming background so I have to find something "quick and dirty'.

I was very happy when I saw how easy it was to create a DB, the tables and the link using a primary keys (the factor linking people). It's a good start and I need to investigate furthermore.

1. The Home Page

2. Create tables
3. Create the link between people

It took me 5 minutes to create a DB with Fname, Lname and Email Address.
See how I can link people.

Next Step:
Now I need to learn how I can connect my database with an HTML page.
Any tips? Any predefine scripts to share?
