We’re happy to announce that our web store has been completely redesigned and revamped. We are now using a new system that should help make things easier for you when you buy from our distro. There are many new search possibilities including by label, band, alphabetically, and more. In the new store we carry all the items we did in the original store (Sarcofago, Holocausto, Desalmado, Hot Graves, Nervochaos, etc.) as well as some new items that were recently added including releases by Malevolent Creation, ABSU, Teitanblood and more. Nervochaos “To the Death” to be released on January 22

Brazilian death metal veterans NervoChaos are set to release their newest album “To the Death” on January 22nd via Greyhaze Records. This new album features guest performances by big names in the international and South American Metal scenes such as Ralph Santolla (Death, Deicide), João (Ratos de Porão) and Zhema (Vulcano).

The album’s cover art is done by Joe Petagno (Motorhead). The first pressing of this CD will include a limited edition NervoChaos embroidered patch as well as a sticker. Greyhaze Records is now streaming album track “Mark of the Beast” at this location. The tracklisting and cover art are posted below as well.

SARCoFAGO “INRI” INDUCTED INTO THE DECIBEL HALL OF FAME.

Greyhaze Records is proud to announce that on the January issue of Decibel Magazine (currently available) the seminal Black/Death/Thrash band Sarcófago was inducted into the magazine’s Hall of Fame for their infamous 1987 release INRI. The 7-page interview delves deeply into the band’s blasphemous history and gives a rare glimpse into the inner workings of this immensely influential Brazilian extreme metal outfit. The Decibel Hall of Fame induction coincides with that album’s 25^th anniversary.

Conducted by Decibel scribe Chris Dick, the interview includes detailed accounts that actually were missing links into the whole fabric of the original aesthetics and sound of Black and Death Metal including the origins of the blast-beat itself, explained by the band’s drummer, DD Crazy. The interview also provides an inside look into one of the most legendary Metal scenes in the world: that of the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte, which not only spawned this month’s inductees, but also Metal titans Sepultura as well as a slew of bands that are today counted as integral parts in the beginnings of extreme Black and Death Metal.

All four original members of Sarcófago (Wagner “Antichrist” Lamounier, Gerald “incubus” Minelli, Zeder “Butcher” and Eduardo “DD Crazy” give their point of view on all aspects surrounding the recording of INRI. There is no shortage of high alcohol consumption, total debauchery, fist-fights, and unrelenting anti-religious angst.

The story also features statements by Fenriz (Darkthrone), Phil Anselmo (Pantera, Down), Tomas Lindberg (At The Gates), and Matt Harvey (Exhumed) recounting their experience and praise for Sarcófago INRI.

Sarcófago INRI was originally released by classic underground label Cogumelo Records in 1987 and is today available in North America via Greyhaze Records under official license. It can be picked up in the link below:

Metal Web portal Pure Grain Audio have made available for download the track “The Payback Engine” from the band Drowned off the album “Belligerent I.” The track can be download for free at this location.

The Brazilian Death Metal outfit Drowned has released on September 4 the follow up to 2011’s Belligerent Part II full-length. The new album is actually a prequel to last year’s release and is aptly entitled Belligerent Part I. The album contains ten official tracks as well as two bonus tracks. From a stylistic perspective, Belligerent Pat One follows the pattern found in Belligerent Part One of pure technical Death/Thrash Metal terror mixing the styles found in bands such as Carcass, and Kreator. However, this new album spirals the band down a darker path with themes that lay bare the festered wounds of war such as misery, hunger, humiliation, revenge, and corruption.

The album was produced by the band themselves. It was recorded, mixed and mastered by Marcos Amorim (guitars); all booklet artwork was designed by Fernando Lima (vocals) who has provided graphic design work for classic Brazilian metal bands such as Sarcófago, Sex Trash and many others.
