I odered this product on a Wednesday evening while still in rehab following surgery on my right hip. The product was delivered by noon on Friday, my first day at home. It enabled me to take a shower.

This product was demonstrated to me at a nursing home as a great way for elderly or other disabled persons (especially after surgery) to enter a bath tub without worrying about lifting the leg too high and losing balance. I found the identical unit here at Amazon, and was thrilled that it was well made of plastic bench and back, sturdy aluminum supports, and has rubber feet that won’t scratch the floor or tub or slip. The bench has drain holes in it to lessen puddling. It is inexpensive (about $70) with free shipping.

my son is 6′8" and 400+ pounds, his wife is 5′ and 120 pounds. they are both very pleased with this seat. it fits in their shower very nicely, but is large enough to be comfortable. it sits solidly, but is not too heavy to move easily. they both highly recommend it.

I’m 32 years old and broke my ankle due to a car accident and needed a bath seat. This seat was very easy to assemble ( essentially 3 pieces and a few screws) And it importantly is very strong. We have a standard size tube so it fit perfectly. I would recommend this product to anyone under the 250lb maxim. I wish whomever is needing this seat a happy and healthy recovery.

So you have been there and done that-shopping, movies, going places and you are still feeing rather jaded. We all know that it is time to look for a new and life-fulfilling activity but where do we start?

1. Every charity organization has its own bank account ready to receive donation. Just double check the account number and press the transfer button. No worries about being materialistic because money is the sure way to guarantee that your contribution will be managed to tackle the direct and immediate need of the organization.

2. Each organization has different needs. For an organization for the disabled, they may need more than basic necessities such as wheelchairs, walkers, etc. make sure you get the right information and give them the right thing they need.

3. Hosting free meals is very suitable for children charities. Besides feeding them, the children will have a chance to mingle with other people, learn social skils and feel appreciated and not being left out society

A rule of thumb: some orphans may feel very connected with visitors and may ask to follow them home. You must be honest and open to them by showing that you will not abandon them and make sure you can visit them as promised.

Self-Esteen and Respect for Others

Self-esteen starts from within. A child needs to realize their self worth before starting to feel and see the value in other people. Parent are the primary influence on how your child feels about him/herself. A 12-year-old girl named ‘Tang Kwa’ has been feeling jaded and unmotivated. She got into an argument with a friend and tried to fix this problem. Unfortunately, her friend did not forgive her. The girl cried herself to sleep every night. Her mother one day discovered this and noticed that her daughter has been feeling unhappy for quite some time. After a visit to a psychiatrist, tang Kwa confided that she was not really sure the real cause of her depression. She’s just been feeling unconfident and worried too much about everyhing. She was also aware of her parent bumpy relationship. Sometime, she felt that if her parents got along better, she would be happier.

Tang Kwa grew astranged from her father as he was putting his work before her. Her father tagged her along to his company’s functions but she felt that he just wanted to show her off with his colleagues as she was a good-looking girl who does well at school.

For tang Kwa, there are a lot of issues to workon. Generally, parents can help their child grow self-esteem by :

- Accepting your child for who he/she is, Don’t force your expectation on your child

- Praising your child when he/she succeeds in doing something or showing strong determination.effort.

- Motivating your child to feel good about himself/herself. Ask them how they feel when they do so-and-so thing.

- Taking into consideration your child’s interest/need. You may give a "No" to your child’s request but at least you hear him/her out.

- Displaying love and affectionate i.e. huging, talking, show interest, etc.

As for parents, here are some guidelines:

- Be a role model. Show that you appreciate when someone does something for you.

- Create an environment where your child can play a role of a giver or encourage your chile to give.

Allow your child to have a group activity with other people.

- Do a volunteer work. Help out the needy and share that experience with your child.

Basic Center: Handwashing

By washing your hands correctly: this is patient education
- you remove germs from your hands.
- Handwashing is the single most important way you can prevent infection from occurring and
- prevent the spread of infection.
You must carefully wash and dry your hands: for patient education
- Before and after each time you care for your family member,  your patient.
- Before and after you handle your patient’s and your own food and drink.
- Before and after you manipulate any contact lenses.
- Before you apply and after you remove gloves
- After you use the toilet.
- After you cough, sneeze or blow your nose.
- After contact with anything that could be soiled or have germs on it.
- After you pick up any object from the floor
- Handwashing takes a minimum of 10-15 seconds,
- longer if your hands are soiled.
- The longer you wash, the more germs are removed.
- The friction generated by rubbing your hands together removes the germs from your skin and
- running water can then wash them away
- Every time you wash your hands, take your time and don’t rush.
- Do the handwashing carefully and thoroughly. This is patient education Use liquid soap from a dispenser. Bar soap holds germs on its surface.

Make sure you have paper towels and a waste receptacle nearby.
Remove all jewelry from your hand except a wedding band and push your watch and sleeves up, away from your hands.
Turn on warm water.
Point your fingers down to prevent water running onto your arms and wet your hands.
Apply soap from the dispenser.
Point your fingers down and rub your hands vigorously together in a circular motion. Star counting seconds at this point.
Intertwine your fingers to clean all surfaces of the fingers.
Rub your fingernails against the palm of the other hand to get soap under the tips of the nails. If your nails are soiled, clean under them with an orange stick or brush.
Keep your hands down and continue to rub them together in a circular motion until the end of your count for 15 seconds.
Keep your hands down and rinse them from the wrist to fingertips.
Pick up a clean paper towel and turn off the water, still keeping your hands pointing down.
Discard the paper towel into a waste receptacle
Pick up another clean paper towel and carefully and completely dry your hands.
Discard the paper towel into a waste receptacle.

The key points to remember are: for this patient education
- that friction is critical for removing germs
- and the friction should be applied for at least 15 seconds.
- Always keep your fingers pointed down
- and turn off the water with a paper towel.
