The power energy system combined with a temperature control helps ship thousands of confectionaries under the Summer sun

As the entire country is experiencing the record heat in the US history, everyone has to go under the extremely hot weather. Sweating, melting, and tanning all occur with the temperature ranging anywhere from 80 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. However, the idea of having to keep our truckloads on air condition does not stymie Grocery Direct. Many of our grocery customers require the shipping and trucking of refrigerated confectionaries such as chocolate, candies, and cookies from the warehouse to grocery stores such as Walmart, H.E.B, Target, Costco, Albertson’s, and Walgreen. Therefore, we sustain customer satisfaction with our refrigerated trucks, a trailer unit filled with power energy at the end equipped with a temperature control system. That way, our customers can feel secure in spite of the perishability of their goods.

Saxon has a history of creating over-dimension challenges –
he came to our family after his previous owner downsized
into an apartment.

We brought a new addition into our family 2 weeks ago.  Up to this point I never considered the hauling capacity of my vehicle.  However, a trip to the dog park this past Saturday made me realize that we may be over-cube in my pickup truck due to some over-dimension cargo.  When combined with my wife (who, by the way, is not over-dimension), my oldest son and our two incumbent dogs – our new addition, Saxon, a 3 ½ year old 150 lb Great Dane, created an over-cubed load along with some driver visibility hazards.  At Grocery Direct, we are used to handling all sorts of unique logistics challenges.  If you need a dependable provider to handle your transportation needs give us a call – we’re here to help.

In this newly created position Kevin will concentrate his efforts on expanding service offerings offered by GDCT, growing its customer base, increasing and perfecting customer metrics, and establishing a more extensive North American network of GDCT locations.

Kevin comes to GDCT with an extensive background in all facets of supply chain management, with more than half of his 22 professional years having been spent in an executive level management position with a large national carrier.  His knowledge and experience will contribute tremendously to the future success of GDCT and Shippers Warehouse.
