Two of my best friends have been killed, one by a drunk teenage driver. As you know, mother Milly became completely unresponsive and had to be removed to a hospital. My emotions are raw and this has made my pneumonia worse.

I would like to thank all the people who sent kind emails to me. A few people were quite nasty, but I don't care about them. I especially liked the muffins and cookies sent to me.

I am packaging methyl jasmonate and hope to catch up soon. If you want to consult with me, telephone me at 7079961747. I don't have the energy to answer long emails.

I get out of breath easily and I am very weak. If I fall down in my house, it is very difficult for me to stand up again. I have to crawl on the floor to my big chair and relax for 30 minutes before I can get up and walk again.

I have 125 emails that I have not answered yet. As Steve mentioned previously, our mom was admitted to the hospital almost three weeks ago. I've been driving 2 to 3 hours each way (depending on traffic), everyday, to keep her company while Steve recovers from viral pneumonia. So, neither one of us has had much time for our computers.

A few weeks ago we were told that all we could do for Mom was keep her comfortable and painfree as her time on this earth was short. Well, she fooled them! She continues to get stronger, however it is still a touch and go situation. Yesterday she was transferred to our local hospital, so my commuting days are gone. The next time I cross the Golden Gate will be as a tourist! We hope to get her healthy enough to transfer to a skilled nursing facility so she can spend a few more years watching her great-grandchildren grow.

From what I've learned of viral pneumonia - it starts out like any cold virus except it attacks your lungs instead of your nose. The inablilty to breathe and constant coughing weaken the body so that even after the virus is gone it can take 4 to 6 weeks for your muscles to regain their strength. Steve wasn't taking care of himself. He thought he had a flu bug and would be fine in a few days. In addition to his own illness he was taking care of our 87 year old mom, which proved to be too much for even a healthy person.

We will both be back into our routines soon. Thank you for your emails, comments and concern for Steve and Mom. We're all on the road to recovery.

Carole

More Apologies

Medically I have taken a turn for the worse. I am regaining my strength and my mental capacity. I haven't been on the Internet for 12 days. There are 500 emails in my in basket of which 250 are real. It is going to take me some time but I will answer them all. I miss writing blog essays because I have so many ideas to share with everyone. This will all change in the next few days.

I shall return.

I refused to allow the medics to cut off my shoulder basal cell carcinoma because I wanted to try a direct application of methyl jasmonate first. This did not include the use of DMSO. After one day, the lesion is shrinking. Amazing...I love this stuff.

I will be back in form in a few days. My internet provider, ATT, did every diagnostic test available and couldn't find the problem. Finally my sister Carole, the webmaster, told me to disconnect my WiFi connection, wait an hour and rebout it. This worked. I am now trying to catch up on all the emails that I have not answered in the last week.

This morning I received a telephone call from South Africa. A prominent medical scientist asked me wether I would consider relocating there. They offered me a real salary, facilities and the ability to conduct my cancer and HIV research without interference from the government.

I am considering the offer. In this book, Cousins discusses his chronic disease and how a positive mental attitute, typified by laughter, enabled him to overcome the disease without drugs. He has subsequently written additional books on this subject. I am a firm believer in the role a positive mental attitude plays in over coming disease. This is a concept that the medicine profession knows nothing about.

As many of you know, I have been very sick for the last 5 weeks.

http://grouppekurosawa.com/blog/2009/04/dr-steves-not-so-excellent-medical

I have a great physician and HMO, Kaiser, and they put through a battery of tests that almost exhausted me. I had CAT scans, chest xrays, full torso sonograms, and more blood tests that you can imagine. I couldn't sleep, eat, think, or function as a human being. I also coughed all the time. Although I didn't have pneumonia, my lungs were not clear so I was given a dose of a new antibiotic. The antibiotic seemed to work. So I went grocery shopping at Safeway assuming the worst was over. Big mistake. After 30 minutes, I had to sit down with my head in my hands. I was exhausted. I had to have a little 18 year old check out girl take my groceries out to my car and load them into the trunk. I simply didn't have the energy.

When I arrived home, I didn't have the energy to get out of the car. My legs were so weak that I couldn't stand. I am a type 2 diabetic who takes diuretic medicines. So I have to pee about 5 times a day. To add insult to injury, I ended up peeing all over myself while I sat in my car with my legs out. I began to cry because I couldn't stand this illness any longer. If GOD had appeared and asked me if he should take me away, I would have agreed without hesitation. My wonderful neighbors, who watch over me like a mother hen, realized that something was wrong. They walked across the street, got me and my groceries out of the car and helped me into the house. I wanted to die of humiliation.

Why was I so sick? I am never sick. I used to joke that I could walk into a TB ward and not get sick. I have always had a positive mental attitude. And then it hit me. Just prior to my illness, my beloved friend Anna, Dr. Patricia Codron, died of breast cancer after a 20 year struggle. We loved one another, but we were definitely the odd couple. We argued all the time. When the cancer entered her bones, the end was a forgone conclusion. We said our goodbyes and she died a week later. Her sister called me with the news. She said Anna died in her sleep. I was so grateful that she died without pain. Two days later her husband told me the real truth. Anna suffered terrible bone pain for at least 8 hours before she died. I collapsed emotionally and cried for three days. As I wrote in the following essay, Anna was the bravest woman that I have ever known in my life. The stress I experienced over her death completely destroyed my immune system. I became sick a few days later.

http://grouppekurosawa.com/blog/2009/03/anna-patron-saint-of-women-with-breast

When I began to get better, I assumed that it was due to the antibiotics. But the blood cultures taken earlier showed no evidence of a blood borne bacterial infection. I may have had a systemic fungal infection that would not be affected by antibiotics. If you have a compromized immune system, bread mold can kill you. So why was I getting better? Perhaps the infection just ran its course. Anything is possible. And then I had an insight into what was really going on.

While I was still sick, I found a video on YOUTUBE that made me laugh hysterically. Its a dance team of a 40 year old and his 12 year old son. Since they are of Greek heritage, he calls himself Stavros Flately, the true Lord of the Dance. When the music begins they both enter the stage stripped to the waste wearing blond wigs. All 4000 people in the audience went nuts. I laughed until I cried. I watched that video at least 25 times the first day laughing all the way. The next day I began to get better. The laughter allowed me to overcome the stress that had overwhelmed my immune system.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gHvATmUsSg

Its difficult to find humor in our present economic climate, but we have to try.

Stay tuned...

Grouppe Kurosawa, Medicine in the Public Interest
http://www.grouppekurosawa.com

Enhancing the Effectiveness of Methyl Jasmonate. Flax Lignans

The primary objective of any treatment protocol is to find compounds that enhance each others effectiveness. This is an extremely difficult proposition, especially if you are dealing with natural medicines.

We have published extensively on the potent anti-cancer and anti-leukemia properties of methyl jasmonate, a plant defense hormone. However, like any natural medicine the effectiveness of MJ or any other product can be improved upon if you can find a synergistic or enhancing companion product. There isn't a product in the world that doesn't have some kind of therapeutic weakness.

In the following study, the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway was found to reduce the effectiveness of MJ. This is not surprising since AKT promotes aerobic glycolysis, a major metabolism of cancer cells, while blocking programmed cell death. This study uses the artificial glucose molecule 2-deoxy-d-glucose as a glycolysis inhibitor. Unfortunately, in the body 2-deoxy-d-glucose is a potent poison. There are more effective ways to reduce AKT signaling without killing the patient.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/queryd.fcgi?db=pubmed&cmd=Retrieve&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=18953440&itool=pubmed_docsum

Flax lignans, powerful inhibitors of cancer cell growth, block AKT activation and other pro-cancer signaling pathways.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/queryd.fcgi?db=pubmed&cmd=Retrieve&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=17876055&itool=pubmed_docsum

As discussed in the previous essay on swine flu, the best commercial source of highly concentrated flax prelignans is available from

http://www.aidshivawareness.org/flaxhull.htm.

This is a non profit organization that uses flax lignans for the treatment of cancer and AIDS in Africa. In contrast, the death rate from heart disease has declined 64%. This essay can be read online.

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/24/health/policy/24cancer.html?_r=1

In two independent studies, the five year survival rate for 22 different cancers was only 2% in both the US and Australia if chemo drugs alone were used for treatment. Since chemo drugs are the major treatment for cancer, it is clear that they do not provide much hope for the long term treatment of cancer.

President Obama has pledged to cure cancer during the course of his administration. Former President Nixon made the same promise. These promises are a joke. Throwing money at cancer research is not going to accomplish anything. We already have numerous treatments for cancer, but their effectiveness is reduced by resistance. As we will discuss in the following essay, the effectiveness of a diversity of chemo drugs can be increased by 10 to 100 times by the anti-depressant drug Prozac. Cancer does not have to be a fatal disease.

Stayed tuned...

Grouppe Kurosawa, Medicine in the Public Interest

http://www.grouppekurosawa.com

Prozac, the New Wonder Drug for the Treatment of Cancer and Leukemia

Prozac is a serotonin uptake inhibitor which is used in the treatment of depression. When serotonin is increased in a neuronal synapse, neuronal activity is increased resulting in a decrease in depression symptoms.

Everything considered, Prozac is a great drug for the treatment of depression. However, over time it has become obvious that Prozac has other biochemical properties that transcend its ability to regulate serotonin uptake into neurons.

For example, Prozac (fluoxetine) is well known to protect neurons against different forms of stress induced damage.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/queryd.fcgi?db=pubmed&cmd=Retrieve&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=15456934&itool=pubmed_docsum

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/queryd.fcgi?db=pubmed&cmd=Retrieve&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=11522596&itool=pubmed_docsum

The fundamental question is HOW?

Apparently, Prozac (fluoxetine) is a major anti-inflammatory drug that inhibits the synthesis of dangerous pro-inflammatory immune hormones by blocking the activation of NF-kappaB, the genetic factor that controls the synthesis of most inflammatory hormones, survival factors that prevent programmed cell death in cancer and leukemia cells, while enhancing the synthesis of membrane pumps that extrude chemotherapy drugs from cancer cells as quickly as they enter.

Effective NF-kappaB inhibitors are few and far between. Inhibiting the activity of this genetic factor is one of the primary goals of all cancer therapies. Prozac in normal doses may be the answer to many of our problems.

Remember, in a culture dish Prozac enhances the efficacy of 5 major cancer chemo drugs, including Taxol, by 10 to 100 times. It does this by blocking the activity of the membrane pumps. This results in a greater accumulation of chemo drugs in the cancer cell. We now know that the inhibition of membrane pump synthesis is due to Prozac's ability to block NF-kappaB signaling.

http://grouppekurosawa.com/blog/2009/01/prosac-anti-depressant-drug

Who knew?

Stay tuned...

Grouppe Kurosawa, Medicine in the Public Interest
http://www.grouppekurosawa.com

Dr. Steve's Not So Excellent Medical Adventure

Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated. I've just been sick as hell for the last month.

In the last month, I've been given CAT scans, whole torso ultrasound, chest x-rays, and every blood test known to man. I have so many needle holes in my arms that I look like a drug addict.

Yet, I am still weak as a kitten. I've had 3 hours sleep in the last two days. I can't lay on my back without inducing a massive coughing attack so I try to catch a few winks in my recliner chair. I can't even talk without getting out of breath.

My HMO doctor, a fantastic woman, is worrried that I have a heart problem because I suffer serious edema in my legs and feet. My blood pressure is fine but my pulse rate is seriously high. She has me on some strong diuretics and these drugs seem to be working. I am also taking a new antibiotic because my lung function is not good.

On top of everything else, my shoulder wound was biopsied as a basal cell carcinoma. In a week a plastic surgeon is going to analyze the wound before surgury. The wound is now so large that they have to graft skin from my thigh in order to close the post surgery wound.

All my Kaiser HMO physicians have been fantastic. It only costs me $25 to see my physician, $10 for blood tests, $50 to have a CAT scan, $10 for an chest xray (to rule out pneumonia), and $10 for a 50 minute ultrasound procedure. And my drug costs are trivial. My monthly premium is $570 a month. I am very lucky to have this kind of medical coverage. Kaiser is a non-profit organization which allows it to concentrate on the best forms of treatment rather than on making money.

If we could take greed out of the practice of medicine, America would be a healthier country.

I am going to live, but I am still sick and quite weak. As a consequence I am behind in the methyl jasmonate orders. Some orders should have been shipped ten days ago, but they are still here. Please bear with me. I am doing the best that I can. I also have tons of new essays to write, but I can't concentrate well enough to write anything.

I am going to be interviewed by a SF Bay area radio station in early May for one hour. The entire interview will be podcasted throughout the world. Overview

The plant defense hormone methyl jasmonate is now known to selectively kill cancer and leukemia cells. Normal cells are not harmed. Over time, it became apparent that other compounds, taken concurrently with MJ, could enhance the anti-cancer potency of MJ. These compounds include...

Zinc
Sodium selenite
Glutamine
High potency flax pre-lignans
Vitamin A
Vitamin D

In subsequent essays I will document how these compounds enhance the therapeutic efficacy of MJ.

In a similar vein, there are certain compounds that cannot be taken with MJ. These compounds include...

ANY anti-oxidants, including vitamin C, E, n-acetylcysteine (NAC) and alpha lipoic acid (ALA).

Also, aspirin and sodium salicylate, the active incredient in aspirin, cannot be taken with MJ. Salicylate is also a plant defense hormone, but it antagonizes the effectiveness of MJ.

Hopefully, we can streamline our anti-cancer and anti-leukemia treatment protocols to include the fewest, and most mutually synergistic compounds.

Stay tuned...

Grouppe Kurosawa, Medicine in the Public Interest
http://www.grouppekurosawa.com

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/grouppekurosawa/UVaU/~3/mPLPyzc_ATo/methyl-jasmonate-cancer-and-leukemia" title="The Methyl Jasmonate Cancer and Leukemia Treatment Protocol. She fought the good fight and she almost won. But the cancer slowly invaded her bones and there was nothing I or the medical profession could do to stop it.

I first met Anna 5 or 6 years ago when she contacted me for help with her cancer. Her cancer was extremely slow growing for many years until her HMO, Kaiser, began harrassing her for her refusal to accept chemotherapy. They threatened to cut off her medical coverage unless she accepted their recommendations. Finally she agreed to be treated with Herceptin. She knew that Herceptin wasn't going to help her because it is only approved for use along with chemo drugs. But it got the Kaiser oncologists off her back.

When I met her, Anna had a hole in her chest 10 centimeters in diameter and 3 centimeters deep. Within a month, it would have eaten through her chest wall and killed her. This lesion was horrible to look at and it smelled even worse. When Anna's new oncologist, a woman, first saw the lesion, she immediately broke down in tears. Anna had to literally hold the poor woman up to keep her from collapsing.

I devised a topical formula that I felt might kill the cancer and promote new cell growth. One way or the other that hole had to be closed. In three months, 90% of the cancer had been killed and replaced with nice new pink tissue. The lesion no longer smelled nor did it bleed that much any longer. Eventually, the lesion completely closed, although lumps of cancer mass remained. The oncologists thought it was the Herceptin, but Anna assured them that it wasn't. She offered to tell them what was in our topical formula, but they expressed no interest. Should anyone be surprised?

Anna and I had many many arguments over the years, but we remained the best of friends until the very end. After my sister, Anna was my second best female friend. She was also the bravest person that I had ever met. She was the perfect Kurosawa Mouse. She didn't do anything without telling me. Our email correspondence was daily. Anna printed out all our emails and had them bound for me. I now have at least 15 bound volumes of our email correspondence.

Anna and I said goodbye 10 days before she died. She was becoming so weak that talking was difficult. We professed our love for one another and she thanked me for giving her 5 additional years. She also thanked me for saving the life of her sister-in-law Deanne who had a so-called terminal case of GIST, gastrointestinal stromal cancer. Deanne has been cancer free for 5 years and is now completely cancer free.

"I am not afraid, you know", she said. Of course, she wasn't afraid. She was Anna.

Anna will always live on in my heart, and in the hearts of many others around the world.

Read Anna's Story. It's a good read.

http://www.grouppekurosawa.com/cancer3print.htm

Goodbye my beautiful friend. We will publish these reports as soon as they are received.

Steve

As you know my father was diagnosed with Stage 3b non small cell lung cancer; well today his lung cancer has been down staged to 3a. Two weeks ago he had a PET scan preformed that showed a small tumor in a non localized lymph node on the opposite of the main tumor. Last week we had a needle biopsy performed on that affected lymph node. Today we received the results and they were completely negative - no sign of cancer tissue of any kind in the affected lymph node. Before the needle biopsy he had three treatments of methyl jasmonate along with various dosages of L-Glutamine, sodium selenite, vitamin d-3, and lots of flax seed. My father has not started chemotherapy or radiation to this day.

Now the big question is did methyl jasmonate knock the tumor out of that lymph node? I'm leaning towards yes, however, I do know that needle biopsies of targeted lymph nodes are not exactly easy and errors can occur. Also, although the tumor was small, barely showing up on the PET scan, no necrotic cancer tissue was removed from the affected lymp node. These things are in the back of my mind but I have to admit that I will take any good news that comes my way. I will keep you up to date on any further advancements.

Josh

Stay tuned...

Grouppe Kurosawa, Medicine in the Public Interest
http://www.grouppekurosawa.com

Methyl Jasmonate in the Vicks Personal Steamer

If you experience plastic corrosion in your personal steamer. it is not due to the methyl jasmonate.

The following message was received by me this morning.

Just sending you an update on the plastic corrosion I was experiencing. In plants, it activates a number of genes that protects the plants against bacterial, fungal and insect attacks. It is also effective in mammalian cells as an anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory agent. No one knows what causes CFS and fibromyalgia but there is some evidence that an over active immune system may be at fault. MJ will kill chronic lymphocytic leukemia cells in the presence of normal white blood cells. The normal cells are not adversely affected by MJ. MJ will also force acute myeloid leukemia cells, a very deadly cancer, to revert to completely normal cells. Clearly, the role MJ plays in modulating the immune system has to be more completely studied. Please read the previous blog essay on the use of MJ as a treatment for CFS and fibromyalgia.

http://grouppekurosawa.com/blog/2009/03/new-medical-uses-for-plant-hormone

Hi Steve,

I wanted to write and let you know that I too have had some significant relief from a 15 year long bout with CFS since using inhaled methyl jasmonate. My story is very similar to Pauline King's and my experience with MJ is identical. I purchased MJ from you in January for help in eradicating some bone lesions (bone lymphoma).

I have been doing some pretty hard core natural healing treatments, i.e., juicing, raw foods, sauna, IV-C, exercise, sunlight, very costly holistic dental treatments, etc. for about five years now. My intent was to add the MJ to kill the cancer cells while continuing with my other treatments for nutritional support and detox.

However, I was very pleasantly surprised to find that about two days after each inhalation treatment, my energy levels are much higher and my ability to focus and concentrate are greatly improved! This was completely unexpected. It is almost as if the CFS is literally melting away, along with the snow here in Connecticut! I even went out and shopped for a new spring wardrobe this past week, for the first time in years! Anyone with CFS can tell you that shopping is a real chore because it is so hard to focus and make decisions. Not only was it a pleasure to shop this time because my mind was amazing clear, but I saved so much money on sale items, that I am sending you an order for my second bottle of MJ.

I find that of all the natural treatments out there, MJ is by far the best value and you definitely get the biggest return on your investment! I have spent over $20K on holistic dentistry and I am getting much better results with the MJ.I know that bone lesions can take years to heal, and I will keep you posted on my progress there too.

You rock!!
Dana Herbert

Stay tuned...

Grouppe Kurosawa, Medicine in the Public Interest
http://www.grouppekurosawa.com/

New Medical Uses for the Plant Hormone Methyl Jasmonate

This report shows that methyl jasmonate can be successfully used, topically, to treat breast cancer and as an aerosol to treat chronic fatigue syndrome/ fibromyalgia. This is the first report that we have received that MJ can be used to treat these diseases.

My Story of Methyl Jasminate

To whom it may concern:

I am Pauline King, a sixty year old female who is writing about my positive experience with Methyl Jasminate in aiding my chronic health problems.

I was conceived with the “wonder drug” DES, which turned out to be carcinogenic. As a teenager I contracted Mononucleosis/Epstein Barr and never recovered my prior energy and vitality.

In the 1980’s, while 40 years old, I worked for the California State Dept. of Health Services and had an “on-the-job injury” which they labeled “Stress and Overuse Syndrome”. Others in the building also suffered illness similar to mine and believed that a polluted and biologically toxic building ( Sick Building Syndrome) was the true cause of the many experienced symptoms (coughing, frequent colds, flu, etc.). After many stressful situations at work and a particularly bad case of flu, I collapsed, and had to leave this job permanently. I then developed debilitating chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia which eventually led to my receiving Worker’s Compensation and Disability.

At age 54, I had a worrisome mammogram with multiple calcifications in both breasts. I refused the biopsy, as my chiropractor warned that should there be any cancer, that an incision could spread it. At the time, I had no appetite and profound weight loss. I looked like a walking skeleton. I could not sleep at night. During this period, I also discovered a palpable lump in one of my breasts. I decided to follow my Chiropractor’s program of nutrition, supplements, homeopathy, exercise (including rebounding), and breathing. In one year’s time, I had recovered and the lump had vanished.

Around the age of 55 I noticed a freckle-like bump on my face which was changing in appearance, and gradually enlarging, until it was the size of a small pearl. The next time I saw my physician, Dr. James Privitera, he had his nurse apply a particular black salve which the doctor believed would remove the bump – ONLY IF IT WERE CANCEROUS IN NATURE! When I removed the Band-Aid the next day, there was a deep pit on my cheek where the bump had been. This took 6 months to heal, and it left a scar. I believe my doctor told me that the appearance of skin cancer, as this appeared to be, increased the probability of cancer existing in other areas of my body as well. To say the least, I was not pleased and proceeded to protect myself with various supplements believed to minimize any future cancerous outbreaks.

At age 58, another peal sized bump suddenly appeared in the same location as the one I had at the age of 55. My friend who worked at the local health food store recommended Mannatech’s Ambrotose, for my condition. She told me of the product’s success in the treatment of skin cancer in her family and others. I used Ambrotose topically and internally for two weeks. After two weeks, the bump vanished as suddenly as it had appeared, and the former scar was gone as well.

At age 59 the bump appeared again in the same spot. I used the Ambrotose as before without any improvement this time! I was alarmed and worried! However, I observed that my boyfriend, William Pazurek, had just had a remarkable recovery from a serious relapse of spinal meningitis using the Methyl Jasminate. (This winter I witnessed that William was at death’s door. His condition was rapidly deteriorating and I feared he might die. His improvement with the Methyl Jasminate was astonishing and swift!)

I read the literature he had on Methyl Jasminate and found it was believed to be effective in the treatment of certain cancers. Thus, in January of this year, 2009, I used the Methyl Jasminate topically (mixed with coconut milk), as well as inhalation treatments about every three days. Within two weeks the bump had entirely disappeared with no scar.

I observed that right after a Methyl Jasminate inhalation treatment, I required more sleep at night, and that I slept very deeply. Also, on the day following a Methyl Jasmonate treatment I needed to rest more than usual. I believe this was a result of the Methyl Jasmonate working beneficially against my ailments.

I have had about seven inhalation treatments thus far, and besides the complete improvement of my skin condition, I have experienced a number of rare “good days”. This was great and one day I actually told William, “I feel wonderful! The only thing that I’m doing differently is the Methyl Jasminate treatments.” This comment really surprised William since I have suffered with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia for 20 years with very few pain and fatigue free days within this period.

I have adopted many of the things I learned from my Chiropractor into my lifestyle. My weight is normal, and I am very careful about diet and walk at least 2-3 miles, four times per week. I am a fair skinned Nordic blonde. There is a history of cancer in my family. My mother and maternal grandmother both had breast cancer and mastectomies. Mother also had lymphoma. My Maternal grandparents both had colon cancer. My father perished from lung cancer. I grew up in a home with second-hand smoke.

I am most hopeful and enthusiastic about the potential of Methyl Jasminate as a safe and natural therapy against cancer!

Much thanks to: Dr. Steve Martin, Dr.Bernd Friedlander,
and Dr. James Privitera

_____________________________
Pauline King 03-01-09

Stay tuned...

Grouppe Kurosawa, Medicine in the Public Interest
http://www.grouppekurosawa.com

Methyl Jasmonate and Prostate Cancer

The two drugs mentioned in this essay, lupron and casodex, are testosterone inhibitors. Platelets went from 38(down in the danger zone) to 177( normal range) all other readingswere in the normal range.

2009 REPORT My punishment was awesome. I haven't sat down and placed it in writing so I figure its about time. Here goes. The stupidest thing In December of 2007 With five and a half year's life with a PSA of less than four and no symptoms of cancer living a rather normallife as an active sixty-something year old man I foolishly made a change for the worst. Ended my low-fat diet and most of my supplements with the hopethat the cancer was gone. Also at about this time I found testosterone online and started using it to improve my overall health. In february of 2008 I went to have my ear wax removed and theDoc did some blood work finding all ok except my PSA=5.5 and sherecommended that I see an oncologist. In June I talked another uro-onc into giving me the Bostwick labs PSA3+ urine test. The results were a false negative( or I did not have any cancer in my prostate gland).

At labor day the start of September my right leg began to swell and look very muscular. I guessed because that was where I was rubbing testosterone gel on it and it was just becoming muscular and strong. I was so wrong. By the middle of September the leg had changed to a blue-green-yellowcolor and my wife had me go see my favorite GP-MD. When he saw the leg he said CANCER. Another PSA was done and came back at 51.6. In October my right leg began to bleed and produce a whitish liquid. Pus I guess. This lasted a few weeks and then cleared up. At this time the low-diet was resumed and the supplements.

I was sent to an oncologist and he had me take several scans(x-rays, cat scans, bone scans and a MRI). By December first PSA=166 and I was told the cancer had spreadto my spine, lymph nodes and bone marrow ( the low-fat diet it seemshad somewhat restored my leg to a more normal color, but it is still quite swollen). The cancer invaded my backbone up between the shoulder bladescausing bad pain so I was given ten radiation treatments In Decemberto that area that relieved the pain.

On December 1, 2008 I began receiving conventional medical treatment for Prostate Cancer, lupron + casodex. It did not seem to be doing any good for the twenty-two days before the start of the MJ treatment.

About the middle of November I was sent an email telling about The Medical Administration of the Anti-Cancer Plant Hormone Methyl Jasmonate(MJ). Began trying to buy it online with no success. Then a Ph.D in California named Dr. Steve Martin bought a large amount and started selling it to anyone with $180. The shipment (10g) arrived on December 22, 2008 and I had my first treatment that evening.

I had no idea of the proper dose, so I used only seven drops the first time. It seemed to work. Before the first dose I could feel the cancer growing in my back and chest area. The MJ put an immediate stop to that feeling.

January 30, 2009 received my latest blood work from my MD-GP PSA = 0.5 and all else OK. Platelets had been very low are now Ok. Will end mainstream treatment and watch PSA for a while.

Ron

Stay tuned...

Grouppe Kurosawa, Medicine in the Public Interest
http://www.grouppekurosawa.com

Prednisolone, Aspirin and the Reduction of Lymphoid Hyperplasia in HIV Infections

For many years I have promoted the use of anti-inflammatory steroids and Cox-2 inhibitors as a treatment for HIV infections. There is clear evidence that inflammatory hormones, such as TNF, tumor necrosis factor, promotes the development of AIDS. Cox-2 inhibitors, such as dexamethasone, prednisolone, aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, etc. inhibit the activation of Cox-2 products such as PGE2. This prostaglandin promotes the secretion of cyclic AMP, a known activator of immunosuppression and HIV proliferation.

The following email confirms this hypothesis.

Dr. Martin,I hope you're doing well!

I wanted to update you on something fascinating that relates to your HIV/AIDS protocol. You may remember a few months back when I began taking 5mg a day of prednisolone to treat my HIV situation. At the time, I had experienced swollen lymph nodes behind my right jawline (measuring 1cm by MRI) and one in front of my left jaw. These had persisted for 1 1/2 years. If you recall, I began taking the 5mg dosage every day, and then about two weeks in I came down with a bad cold. I stopped taking the prednisolone during the illness; when I wrote to you about it, you replied that it might be the result of immune reconstitution due to the pred. After recovering from the cold (took nearly three weeks, though), I didn't return to the prednisolone because I was afraid. In part, my doctor also rebuked me for taking the medicine, warning me of dire pneumonias for taking it. So I stopped.

In the next few months, I began taking several antioxidants according to the fascinating book by Dr. Heinrich Kremer entitled "The Silent REvolution in Cancer and AIDS medicine." I was taking 10g a day of NAC, 2g a day of glutathione, and some other vitamins. Still, nothing seemed to really make a difference. Then I was reading about another trial involving prednisolone, but this one seemed to indicate that a slightly higher dosage was needed for severely immune-compromised patients (my last CD4 count was 168 and my viral load was 11,000). This should then be tapered off until it is around 15mg every other day. I found another clinical trial that had some success with aspirin in the 160mg range.

So almost two weeks ago I began taking 20mg of prednisolone in two divided doses, 10mg at 9am and 10mg at 2pm. I also began taking aspirin, 160mg a day twice a day.Almost unbelievably, I felt like my old self instantly; the fatigue and fogginess disappeared. AFter three days, my lymph nodes had shrunken considerably, and today they are barely swollen at all. After nearly two years of these swollen lymph nodes, theey magically disappeared on this protocol. It appears that I simply wasn't taking enough prednisolone at the time, which accounts for the lack of effect on my health. I plan to do some blood work at some point very soon in order to see what effect it has had on my raw numbers, but from this vantage point, it is nothing short of miraculous.

I wanted to pass this along to you in the hopes that it can do some good. Thanks for everything!Ray

Stay tuned...

Grouppe Kurosawa, Medicine in the Public Interest
http://www.grouppekurosawa.com/

Grouppe Kurosawa Treatment Protocol for Colon and Liver Cancer. I'm the guy who ordered Methyl Jasmonate for a patient in Slovenia (Europe). A month ago or so, I wrote to you about cancer case going worse (spreading to liver). She was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma on lymphatic glands and possible liver progression at first. Doctors also removed 1,5 x 1,5 inch size tumor in her colon. This was on November 7th 2008. Her blood test was scary bad. I'll give you the numbers:

Nov. 2008 Feb. 2009test value ok range value--------------------------------------------------------K-Lkc 11.4 [4.0-10.0] 9.7K-H 0.366 [0.370-0.470] 0.381K-MCV 76.6 [81-94] 95.9K-MCH 25.8 [26-32] 32.9K-RDW 26.9 [11.3-14.5] 21.2K-Lymp. 19.5 [20.0-50.0] 15.1 K-Nevt. 7.8 [1.6-7.5] 6.9S-Krea. 99 [44-80] 78S-Urat 483 [143-339] 240S-alk.f 3.27 [0-1.74] 2.88S-gamma 3.52 [0-0.63] 1.99S-ALT 1.39 [0-0.52] 0.69S-LDH 9.58 [0-4.12] 3.28S-CEA 160.1 [0-3.4] 63.0

As you can see her HEMA tests (blood quality) showed major lack of haemoglobin. I gave her Iron 15mg pills with 75mg vitamin C for better absorption. After a month her haemoglobin rose above the ok range, which is what I wanted. Now I decreased Iron pills so that the values will drop into the ok range. Also leucocytes where slightly above ok range, but have dropped down to ok. When you look at the liver tests, you can see major liver problem at that time. Her S-CEA is huge. In 3 months time, some of the off range values are already fine, some of them are going towards the ok area and her S-CEA has dropped for more than 60%. It is clear, cancer is retreating.

Since day one, she was on this protocol (3 months): MJ 6 inhalations (breathing hard, but manageable)

Glutamine 60g/day

Sodium Selenite 750 micrograms/day
Zinc 50mg/day
Sulindac 600mg/day
Cimetidine 800mg/day
Policosanol 20mg/day
Melatonin 12mg/day
vitamin D 5000 IU/day
vitamin A 30000 IU/day
Isoleucine could not stand it

Besides this, she also received chemo therapy pills Xeloda. They progressed the dosage and are now finishing with intravenous chemo. Doctors say only one more is needed. She will continue to follow the same procotol until the numbers get into the healthy range. I strongly believe she is beating the cancer, although it's not over yet. I also see that chemo therapy is frying her immune system. When cancer is "over", I will ask for some advice how to boost it back (I am thinking Zinc 50mg, Melatonin 30mg, Lithium Orotate 10mg daily ...) The way I see her story is, doctors gave her 40% chance to live with cancer stage 3.

They could not understand why cancer was not progressing faster (I think our protocol choked it badly). They kept asking her if she is worried about the situation, but she denied (I told her to simply erase stress and she did it). I think our protocol managed to create a turnover in cancer progress enough that doctors changed their mind and took it seriously.I have no idea why they raised Xeloda dosage only in last month. For someone with liver cancer and 40% chance to live, after 3 months, she seems to be a super woman, or someone made a really bad judgement heh.

Thank you Dr. Martin for advising me to continue with protocol when I almost gave up.

Best wishes, Saso Vodopivec

Stay tuned...

Grouppe Kurosawa, Medicine in the Public Interest
http://www.grouppekurosawa.com/

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/grouppekurosawa/UVaU/~3/hE1h2fncaFI/grouppe-kurosawa-treatment-protocol-for_23" title="Grouppe Kurosawa Treatment Protocol for Colon and Liver Cancer. Feedback.

This email is from Anne of Australia. Tumor Lysis Syndrome refers to a biological response to extensive tumor cell death. In small doses, this response both kills the tumor cells and activates the immune system against other cancer cells. In high doses, TLS is not a pleasant experience. Extensive tumor debris can clog both the kidneys and the liver in an effect to remove tissue damage. But it, necrosis, is the most potent and immediate form of cancer cell death. There is an old saying in the cancer treatment medical community. If you have extensive cancer and feel well, you are doing to die. If cancer cell necrosis or an immune attack against against cancer cells occurs, you are going to feel terrible. Congrats, you are on the way to recovery. It is not a pleasant experience, but it is necessary in order to kill cancer cells. Did you feel well when you were recoving from the flu?

Hi Steve
Here is what I've written up for your site. Hope it is OK
I have breast cancer (Oestrogen receptor +, HER 2 receptor negative) with mets to the brain and bones. Over the past 12 months I have had success using a combination of some of Steve's protocol and treatments my oncologist has prescribed.

At present I am feeling really well and am positive about the future. I have almost no bone pain, one tumour in my armpit lymph node has disappeared and my 2 breast tumours have significantly shrunk (one has almost disappeared). I haven't had a brain MRI since May 2008 (this showed a marked improvement with only one pea sized tumour left) but I have had no worrying symptoms.

As I am using a variety of treatments it is impossible to say what treatments my successes have been attributable to. My oncologist, of course, thinks it's what he's giving me. However, unless I have an exceptional reaction to the drugs I take from him, I think this is highly unlikely. An almost complete lack of bone pain and the disappearance of lymph node tumours were not what I had been lead to expect on the 2 treatments he gives me.

I am documenting my treatment protocol and experiences over the past 12 months as I thought they might prove to be of some use to others deciding on a treatment plan for breast cancer. Also the road of self medicating is hard as you don't know what to expect and when you're feeling drained and sick you have no one with any experience to ask about what they think is going on. I hope that what I have written will give some ideas about the potential side effects along the way.

MY TREATMENT PROTOCOL

From Steve's protocol

I chose on the basis of what I thought would be good for breast cancer and also what I could easily get access to (thus no prescription drugs)

Since March 2008 I have been taking VitD3, lithium orotate, sodium selenite, concentrated flax lignan and glutamine. I added zinc, policosanol and vitamin A in about October. I have taken these supplements on and off for the past year. For the last 6 weeks I have been using methyl jasmonate (in 70% DMSO gel) as a topical application every evening.

From my oncologist

I have chosen not to have chemo (A study found that Taxol, the chemo drug I was offered, was of no use for my type of cancer – Steve wrote this up and it is in the archives). I had 2 weeks of radiation to the brain in February 2008. I have been taking Femara (acts to disrupts oestrogen production) and have been having Zometa (helps slow down bone breakdown and my oncologist thinks it also has breast cancer fighting abilities) once a month. I have continued these 2 treatments over the past year.

MY EXPERIENCES OVER THE PAST 12 MONTHS

A day and a half into starting Steve's protocol so much bone pain had been initiated that I had to stop taking treatments. For 2 days I could barely get out of bed due to the extreme pain. On the third day I awoke with almost no pain and I have had no significant bone pain since. I waited a few days to recover some strength and then started to take Steve's supplements again. This time I lasted 3 days before I felt I had initiated enough reaction to need to stop taking supplements. This time I had uneasy feelings up my neck and headaches. The action appeared to have shifted more to my head. Over the next couple of months I took Steve's supplements for a couple of weeks and then had a weeks break. During this time I was feeling constantly tired and slept at least 15 hours a day. I lacked strength walking and felt permanently nauseous. At this stage I hadn't heard of TLS (Tumour Lysis Syndrome – a good idea to google this if you plan to self medicate) and it was a pretty scary time. I wasn't sure if I was ever going to recover any strength. Obviously I was killing lots of cancer cells and my body was struggling to process the debris. After about 8 weeks I slowly began to regain strength and by mid year I was feeling pretty good.

Over the past 6 months I have been active, eating well and re-entering the world (though I am careful to avoid stress and overwork as much as possible). I have continued on and off the supplements but no longer have dramatic reactions. I intend to continue to take selenite, flax, zinc and glutamine. I'm am going to try a month of methyl jasmonate via the lungs using a steamer.

I also found this video of a talk by a cancer researcher helpful in giving me a new perspective on the nature of cancer. It helped me to not be anxious about having the disease and helped build my confidence that it was not incurable. My doctor has said that it has been her cancer patients with a positive mental attitude that have had the best outcomes.

http://www.ted.com/talks/eva_vertes_looks_to_the_future_of_medicine.html

Hope my experiences are of use to others with cancer. I'm confident that Steve's present protocol is a very promising direction for cancer treatment.
hasEML = false;

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/grouppekurosawa/UVaU/~3/SvssEnm4in0/grouppe-kurosawa-treatment-protocol-for" title="Grouppe Kurosawa Treatment Protocol for Breast Cancer. An Update

I am trying the best I can to get the MJ to those who have ordered. I am shipping the MJ all over the world, but we have had a few problems. First, the valve on the cap has frequently opened during shipment which results in a loss of product. In the last three months, I have had to replace $1200 of MJ. I absolutely cannot afford these kinds of financial losses. I changed bottle and cap suppliers and have purchased shrink wrap and a heat gun to seal the caps. This apparently has solved the problems, while delaying orders. Please be patient. I am ordering and shipping MJ as fast as I can. I do NOT have a staff to help me.

In the last 5 months, the cost of 1 kilogram of methyl jasmonate has increased by $1200 USD. I have not increased my price accordingly. I have also changed MJ suppliers. The previous supplier did not stock the product. They only manufactured it when they had an order in hand. This resulted in a 5 week delay in receiving the MJ. My current supplier stocks the MJ and ships it to me within a week.

The good news is that I am waiting for some good feedback stories on MJ that have been reported to me. This involves the use of MJ for the treatment of fibromyalgia and mycobacteria infections.

Who knew?

Stay tuned...

Grouppe Kurosawa, Medicine in the Public Interest
http://www.grouppekurosawa.com

The good news is that

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/grouppekurosawa/UVaU/~3/w8I-I3GWxwY/methyl-jasmonate-update" title="Methyl Jasmonate. Feedback is great...I wish we got more of it.

Hi Steve

Just a quick update. I'm feeling really well and am seeing a slow but constant shrinking of my 2 breast tumours. The tumour in my armpit lymph node is no longer detectable by feel or ct scan. I had a visit yesterday to my oncologist to get the results of a ct scan. It showed no movement of my cancer into other organs. I have no bone pain and am feeling energetic and positive about the future.

I got hold of some methyl jasmonate in Australia and have been using it with DMSO as a topical application. I just bought a steamer with a nose attachment so I am going to try some via the lungs.

A friend of a friend with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma contacted me. She hasn't got a computer (I live in the hippy region of Australia and she is a bit of a flower child) so I gave her some information off your site. She has been taking VitD3, lithium orotate, sodium selenite, concentrated flax lignan, policosinol, DCA and drinking lots of cups of strong tea. She was diagnosed September2006 and had surgery to remove a lump. She had radiation treatment but chose not to have chemo. When 2 new lumps appeared last May she started on your protocol. She has had no further lumps appear since she started taking the supplements and just before Christmas my friend rang to say she had visited her oncologist and the tumours have started shrinking. She is on no other treatment so your protocol looks as though it is having success with this cancer as well as my breast cancer.

Hope you are able to find a suitable way of funding your life so that you can continue to pursue the work you have been doing over the past few years. It certainly looks as though it has been a very fruitful direction of treatment (though sadly I can't see it being taken up widely as people are just too scared to step outside what oncologists are offering).

I'll update you again in 6 months when I have my next scan.

Regards Anne

Stay tuned...

Grouppe Kurosawa, Medicine in the Public Interest
http://www.grouppekurosawa.com

1500 Medical Blog Essays Now Available Free on the Grouppe Kurosawa Website

When http://www.grouppekurosawa.com was formed over 8 years ago, we published medical blog essays for free on our Natural Medicine Blog. Over time, this became financially non-viable since we had to purchase scientific articles over the internet. These articles cost an average of $30 per article. My colleagues and I could no longer personally subsidize this expense so we developed a private blog site with access to a discussion group. In effect, we had two blogs, one public and one private. Approximately one in ten private essays were published to the public blog in the public interest. This means that most of the previous private blog essays were never available to the public.

To date, over 1500 medical blog essays have been published on both blog sites. These essays are now ALL available to the public for free. On the home page, two essay archives are listed. I continue to publish to the public blog, but the previous private blog, numer two on the list, is strictly an archive. You can conduct a literature search in both blogs by typing a keyword in the search function.

If you have a comment on an essay in the public blog, feel free to do so.

Stay tuned...

Grouppe Kurosawa, Medicine in the Public Interest
http://www.grouppekurosawa.com

Large Doses of Aspirin and Anti-oxidants Can Inhibit the Powerful Anti-Cancer Properties of Methyl Jasmonate

Methyl jasmonate is a plant defense hormone. It is not a drug. When plants are attacked by viruses, bacteria, fungi and insects the synthesis of MJ is increased in the plants, primarily the leaves. The MJ activates numerous genes which produce products that protect the plant against the invasive organisms.

MJ is not the only plant defense hormone. Salicylate is another plant defense hormone, but its expression is not necessarily synergistic with MJ. As a recent study has shown, salicylate blocks jasmonate signaling in plants. Salicylate inhibits MJ signaling by increasing the synthesis of glutathione in cells. Glutathione is the major anti-oxidant in plant and animal cells.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/queryd.fcgi?db=pubmed&cmd=Retrieve&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=18539774&itool=pubmed_docsum

MJ and other anti-cancer agents, such as chemotherapy and radiation, induce cell death by inducing oxidative stress. Glutathione and other anti-oxidants block this response.

Salicylate is the active anti-inflammatory component in aspirin, acetylsalicylic acid. If a person is taking MJ to control their cancer, they CANNOT concurrently take high doses of aspirin, such as 350 mg doses. The also cannot take anti-oxidants such as vitamin C, E, NAC (n-acetylcysteine) and ALA (alpha lipoic acid).

Stay tuned...

Grouppe Kurosawa, Medicine in the Public Interest
http://www.grouppekurosawa.com
