CEO, Susan Hansell, Receives the KDVA’s “Peace in Kentucky Homes” Award</h1> <article> <h1>CEO, Susan Hansell, Receives the KDVA’s “Peace in Kentucky Homes” Award</h1> <p>admin — Fri, 07 Dec 2012 14:29:07 +0000</p> <p>On December 6th, Susan Hansell, CEO, Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road, accepted the Kentucky Domestic Violence Association’s 2012 Peace in Kentucky homes award.</p> <p>For 20 years the KDVA has been awarding the Peace in Kentucky Homes award as a part of their “I am committed to Peace” campaign. This award is given to honor the importance of individual and community commitments to ending domestic violence in Kentucky.</p> <p>Of the honor Susan states, “From our inception, Girl Scouts has stood for building courage and confidence in girls. We are so proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with our partners in the Kentucky Domestic Violence Program and our local domestic violence shelters to do all we can, through Girl Scouts, to end bullying and empower girls and their families to live in safe, nurturing environments.
