I did a check, and found only Littleberry Patteson of Campbell County has documented service as a soldier. The Littleberry from Pittsylvania county Is credited with Patriotic Service in DAR records, which means DAR has no documentation of military service for him. The Littleberry from Carolina, according to WikiTree, was too young to participate in the Revolution.

The DAR records give for Littleberry Patteson of Campbell County VA: "Service Source: NARA, M246, REV WAR ROLLS 1775-1783, ROLL 133
Service Description: 1) CAPT SAMUEL JORDAN CABELL, MORGAN'S RIFLE REGIMENT" The DAR says they have "Supporting documentation available." Contact the DAR about how to access that.

From WikiTree:
↑ Compiled Service Records of Soldiers who Served in the American Army During the Revolutionary War; Record Group #93 War Department Collection of Revolutionary War Records; NARA#M881_103; for Littleberry Patterson, military: 1777 USA; rank: Sergeant in Morgan's Rifle Regiment, Continental Army
↑ DAR listing for Littlebury Patterson, b: Feb 1754 VA; military: Sgt. in VA Militia; d: 23 Jun 1825 VA; m: Matilda Smith

The book called the "Intrepid Ballards" contains a few errors and some of the research was not complete. My line was left out entirely. when I wrote to the author she told me that she had a letter stating that my line was not correct she could not produce the letter for me to read. Nor would she supply a name of the person who wrote the letter so I could contact said person my self. and the reason she wrote the book was so People could quit contacting her to ask for answers.
