Coinciding with the release of his new album, Working on a Dream (Columbia Records), the two-song Track Pack will be available for download simultaneously with the album’s release. The Track Pack, which features “Born to Run” and “My Lucky Day,” a brand-new track off his new album, will be free to download during the first week of the album’s release.

“Bruce Springsteen has been a defining force in Rock ‘n Roll and we are incredibly excited to have him make his video game debut with Guitar Hero World Tour,” said Robert Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard.

Springsteen’s longtime manager Jon Landau said, “Activision has been a leader in getting music to the public in new ways and we are very happy to have them making these two songs available to their audience.”

The Bruce Springsteen Track Pack will be available on Xbox Live Marketplace for the Xbox 360, PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 3, and as singles for Wii for free between January 27, 2009 and February 4, 2009. Starting February 5, 2009, the Track Pack will be available on Xbox 360 for 320 Microsoft Points, on the PS3 for $3.99, and as singles on Wii for 200 Wii Points each.

The Smashing Pumpkins track pack will include G.L.O.W., 1979, and The Everlasting Gaze and is available this week.

The Nirvana track pack will include You Know You’re Right, Negative Creep, and Sliver. It will be released next week.

The Eagles track pack will feature Frail Grasp on the Big Picture, One of these Nights, and Life in the Fast Lane. It will be released in two weeks.

Finally, the reggae rock track pack will be released for free on December 23 and will include Slightly Stoopid’s Jimi, Pepper’s Your Face, and Expendables’ Sacrifice.

The Killers Track Pack will be available on Xbox Live Marketplace for the Xbox 360 for 440 Microsoft Points and on the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 3 for $5.49. In addition, ”Human,” “Losing Touch” and “Mr. Brightside” will be released as single downloadable songs for Xbox 360 for 160 Microsoft Points, PlayStation 3 for $1.99 and Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection for Wii for 200 Wii Points.

With festivities at GameStop stores coast-to-coast kicking off on Saturday at 10:00 p.m., teens, adults and families can put their rock ‘n’ roll skills to the test with Guitar Hero matches, air guitar challenges, rock star impersonation games and more.
