My mother is going to be here tonight from the Bahamas. She is going to visit me and my family for 10 days. My husband and I are really excited about it, we have decided not to tell our son about it because we want it to be a surprise to him.

I had to get off work today because my husband just had his procedure yesterday. Since I am off work, I have decided to do a general cleaning before my mom arrives tonight. I am kind of tired but I gotta do what I gotta do.

As a military wife, I am already used to moving. Moving has been part of our lives since we are associated with the military. It was gloomy the whole day today, according to the news last night there was a 30 percent chance of rain today. I was leaving work and started seeing some raindrops on my car's windshield. After picking up my son from school, the rain started to fall, thank God we were already home when it happened.

I really love the rain, it makes me smile! =) Now, I am craving for hot and spicy soup! =)

Did you know that an ordinary American eats about 85.5 pounds of fats and oils every year? I am not surprised, since people in America are very busy at work or with their daily lives, they have been relying on fast foods for years. I have noticed that every time my family and I dine at fast food chains, we tend to spend more than buying or shopping for food from the grocery store. Statistics said that Americans spend 10 percent of their extra income on fast food every year. Eating fast food is not only expensive but also very unhealthy. No wonder, why so many Americans are getting sick and getting all these diseases, a normal American diet raises the risk of cancer by 47 percent, that is very sad and scary, isn't it?

I am really happy to let you all know that after living here in the States since 2007, Finally, I am a US Citizen now. I had my interview on August 15, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas. Officer Lopez was the one who interviewed and asked me about America's history was really nice. I was supposed to be asked 10 questions and needs the right answer of six, when I've answered the first six questions, Officer Lopez stopped the questions.

Anyway, I took an Oath of Citizenship yesterday, it was really an emotional ceremony. It feels bittersweet but I am really happy to be a citizen of this great nation. Thank You God and to my family and friends, thanks for all your support and encouragement.

Blogging is really becoming so popular nowadays, there are so many people like me who cannot let a day pass without doing it. I really love blogging and enjoy it very much, through it I could express my feelings and share my ideas without worrying of what somebody might say or think, I do not have to worry about their approval or disapproval since it is my own blog site.

I started blogging in 2007, I can still remember people asking me what blogging was all about and so on and so forth, but now I think most people know what blogging is all about and already doing it. Around February of 2011, more than 156 million public blogs were already up and running on the internet, I am more than sure, that number has been growing ever since.

I am thinking on changing my hair color before I have my oath taking for my US Citizenship in a week. I have been debating whether to get a darker or lighter shade. My husband told me to stick with my hair color right now which is medium brown blonde but I am thinking on getting it black or burgundy.

Second Day At Work

Today was my second day at work. Me and my co-workers started our day along with the other nutrition workers in Killeen District listening to a motivational speaker. The motivational speaker for today was really awesome, I am sure everyone would agree with me when I say that he was really an effective, funny and very touching speaker.

After listening to the motivational speakers, we all went to our respective campuses and had some safety training with our manager. We will not go back to work until Thursday and then starting Monday, we will have our regular schedule.

Son and I Are Still Up
