Signup on New Websites

We all use internet a lot and for the purpose we make a lot of accounts too, but there are some mistakes which we commit while registering for a site. We just visit the site and then register for no reason often because most of the new people at the internet feel good to make account at every site which they visit. But this is really not a good act if we look into the whole situation with reference to the security. It can be harmful to you in many ways. You must keep in mind the following tips while choosing your password and while signing up for the new sites.

Precautions to be taken while signing up for new site and Choosing a Password:

Be sure that the site is worthy enough to have an account over it. You must be sure with the ranking and user base of the site too, I mean you must be well aware about the site. You can't signup for some fake site where they can use your details for the identity theft.

Don't use the same password for every site you signup, Because it can be really fatal for your online life like if you are using the same password for every site then if any one of them get hacked, hacker is going to hack your whole email id's and accounts.

Be sure to use a different and strong password with your primary emails, and then signup to other services using those emails with some other and strong password. Don't use your primary passwords everywhere.

A strong password contains some symbols, some numbers, some alphabets and some capital and small alphabets. You should make a combo of all the available characters to make it impossible to be cracked.

While choosing a security question never use something really common which others may know, Like your name, like birthplace of your mother. Common other's gonna guess it surely. Keep something really unique which can't be guessed by the public. Or else always keep that question in mind because one can use social engineering to ask you the same question and you may be dumb enough to give the correct answer.

It's a good practice to connect to new sites using the Facebook or twitter connect as I guess that it is more suitable, but in case your Facebook or Twitter get's hacked you got nothing to do. Thus, it's always safer to keep your important accounts separate with unique passwords to be used with them only.

That was it! Next time i'll come up with something more good and unique, Till then remain safe and have a happy internet life.

This attack has been confirmed by the Cloudflare. The attack uses botnet and automated attempts to guess the passwords for the default admin account of the WordPress. Surely! the use of weak passwords and the default admin username for your WordPress is the biggest problem which can become the cause of your blog take-down by the hackers.

Remain Safe From the Massive WordPress Brute Force Attack:

You can easily avoid this attack by following these general and very simple instructions:

Don't use default user name i-e admin to login to your blog because it's the default account which you get when you install WordPress. Be sure to add a new administrator account and change the username of that account to something random.

Don't use weak passwords because passwords like in the dictionary and other language words are damn easy to be guessed by a powerful machine. Make a strong password consisting of numbers and symbols.

Be sure that your WordPress version is up to date and no surplus deactivated themes and plugins are present, as any old file and vulnerable can be a cause of hacked WordPress blog.

Actually the attack isn't that much strong but chaining together the power of various servers and hosting is going to make it real strong against your blog. If the hosting companies accounts are vulnerable and undertaken by hackers then a botnet attack carried by this will be damn more powerful than the zombie laptops attacks.

A recent report has shown that the last attack reported was dependent on the 90,000 IP's and it means how large number of hosting accounts have been compromised and as far as I am concerned they are also making use of other vulnerabilities in the WordPress and website structure though the main attack is reported to be a Brute Forced one.

WordPress team action at it's side:

WordPress is going to roll out a two factor verification for the login process of the CMS and it will make brute force die out completely and almost unusable against the WordPress blog. Unfortunately it's not possible to change the default login directory of the WordPress but once can change his username and password. So go for it!

Last Thursday, a Pakistani student failed to avoid the extradition from Britain to the United States over the hacking attempts allegations for helping a FBI agent. The name of the student is Usman Ehzaz who came to Britain to study in information technology and computer systems.

He was arrested at the request of US authorities after being found suspect of controlling a botnet of more than 100,000 computers without the owners knowledge whom the computers belonged to!

Court was told that Usman Ehzaz was paid by an FBI agent and was also provided by a malicious code to inject to computers. Protected computers which were infected were those belonged to the foreign commerce or used in interstate or for communication purpose. The student was paid $600 for this job and the FBI undercover agent asked him to do so as reported by Dawn News!

Over 100,000 computers were effected and 800 of them were in United States and thus Home Secretory Theresa May ordered Usman Ehzaz extraditions on allegations related to 800 US computers.

If proven guilty over there he may be imprisoned for 12 months and Ahzaz appeal to the Britain court was also rejected.

In fact I have also edited some SMS bombers and have come to know certain facts about them. Mostly, researches may vary from them but you must be aware also from what I got to you today. Many internet users just pay for these SMS bombers just to annoy someone since they have some bad intentions. Lets, see how these SMS bombers work:

Top Reasons on how these SMS bombers Work:

Mostly Mobile Sites offer some subscription service from their websites and user just has to input his mobile number there, After that an automated confirmation message is sent to user’s cell phone. Any bad minded guy can easily exploit this easily by just tempering the page requests to the server and by understanding the mechanism on how it works to process the entered number.

A paid SMS bomber can also use some online SMS sending service, there are a lot paid services available which can be used to send as many texts as you want. But such SMS bombers are never free ones, Such SMS bombers can also have spoofing feature.

Thus, An SMS bomber takes the mobile number of the victim as the input and then forwards that to specific website which then send automated message to the victim’s number.

SMS bomber makes this process to repeat at a rate of thousands of time. And victim mind just blows off and he turns off his mobile.

How to prevent such SMS bombers to be fully functional:

This part is for websites admin who offer sms services, It would be better to use some captcha as per security reasons. I know captcha can also be bypassed but still its better than nothing.

Not more than 10 messages should be sent by the website again and again to same number. Within 24 hours, Some filtering techniques should be implemented.

I personally tried this way and this worked well too! I know you all may be well aware that you can easily enable the access to country restricted market using some third party application but the users are complaining that even these third party application after emulating the sim to another USA carrier doesn’t work well. I had to sort out a solution because last day I just installed Cyanogen Mod and after the flash of Gaps I couldn’t do successful emulation to enable every content of the market for my country. So, I tried every way cleared the cache and emulated every sim but I failed. I was able to reach to application e-g Google Voice Search but was unable to download that, Following was the error on clicking download:-

This Application can’t be downloaded in your country, and So what, I don’t remember it much

Procedure I tried to Unblock the Applications which are country restricted to USA only:-

Download any third party SIM emulator like MarketAccess, Market Enabler etc. Try Googling I can’t give link here without the developer permission If you need help ask in comment will email you!

After that downgrade your upgraded market in case if your ROM had old Google Market when installed/Flashed, Here I am assuming that you had previous version of Market before Upgrading to newer Google Play So in this Case go to Manage Applications and Simply select Google Play and uninstall any updates from there, It will be reverted back to Android Market.

Emulate your Sim using the above mentioned program in first step and Search any country restricted application like Google Maps and try Installing. It will take much time and after couple of minutes download will start

Incase, You have preinstalled Google Play when you purchased a phone with latest ICS release, then please uninstall that using Titanium Backup and then drop comment here, to get the link for Old Market for Android. Well, Ok one link is being posted here, Cheers Download it and Install it and then emulate the Sim and woa, Its Woking…!

Download Attached File (You May Need to Skip Add From Top Right Corner)

Hoping that you all will be fine because I am posting an update for Hackers Thirst after a long time; I read some emails too but not the all and will review emails soon and you will listen to my replies too. Well; this update as the title shows is about the two things one is about this that Hackers Thirst will no longer support the cracked versions of software and also I being admin of this blog will mainly concentrate on the open source and latest techy updates. Second news is this that Hackers Thirst is going under some maintenance and load time has been greatly reduced, All this will be finished in a couple of days or more. So; basically I am here with two main things :-

Concentrating on Following things only:-

Open Source Content will be supported not the cracked versions of software. Previous any promoted crack has been disabled by me because of some complaints, Since We people were never involved in there generation therefore we were urged to let them be disabled for the public use and I did this.

Rest content will be generated as published earlier and I shall make it possible for everyone to learn new things and to keep themselves save from attacks of outside evil world being master in computer usage.

Hackers Thirst is under Construction:-

Well, the second important notification is this that Hackers Thirst is under maintenance and its regular maintenance schedule part, For more than a year I didn’t care much for the load time and the rest of things but now I thought that it’s the time that speed of loading pages plus a clean look is needed to be done with this site, So!

Bought an Android smart phone and don't know the difference between a company modded ROM and a custom Rooted ROM. Well, I am here to let you get information on a custom ROM; maintained by team Cyanogen. It always depends on you that whether you use a custom ROM after rooting your android phone, Or else you are lazy enough to prefer a company modded ROM. Likely, I accept the fact that in company modded ROM some features may take the whole game i-e can be much good as compared to cyanogen, but if you are advanced user and like to customize the phone the way you want, then use cyanogen ROM. Let me explain some facts of this Good Modded ROM.

Customize-able ROM:

This ROM is much customize-able, you can do whatever you want with your phone, It comes pre-installed with ADW Launcher which works super fast with it, You can have a dock placed at the home screen, Can have a transparent Application drawer on clicking the menu button and can even have some transparent notification place. You can MOD the phone the way you want. If your phone has some LED lights, this cyanogen gives you the way to mode them too. You can change when those lights should function. Now you can think that all this can be done in Stock ROMS too, But surely that stock ROM gonna be slow after having installed ADW Laucnher, except that built in interface, but cyanogen doesn't slow down.

Home screen swap transition effects can be modified the way you like.

Super Fast:

Unlike those 500MB stock ROMS, this 100MB cyanogen, works like a charm, I first installed this in my HTC phone and when I swapped the home screen, and typed some text notes, I wondered its much faster than that stock ROM. If you are regular user of Stock ROM then after getting this custom ROM installed you will surely feel the speed differences.

Gestures For the Home Screen:

You can easily add some gestures for the home screen, Likely you can add any pattern and can link that pattern to the custom application which you want to be launched upon repeating the pattern at the locked screen, No need to unlock just make a custom pattern and make that pattern on the lock screen and WOA! That application linked blazes to come to screen and start working like charm.

To add a gesture just go to Settings>>CyanogenMod Settings>>LockScreen Gestures and add any application with the required gesture you build.

Screen Rotation Extent:

You are able to rotate your screen using the sensor at any angle you need, Its the option under the CyanogenMod settings under Display and using the sensor you can get the required results, Like the screen can be rotated even at the home screen unlike stock Rom.

Sufficient Theme Repository:

Under the CyanogenMod there is absolutely sufficient theme repository. After getting the Mod installed just attach your Google account with your phone and then search the keyword "cm7 theme" and you are done there will be many themes for cm7 I am using cyanogenMod seven as the reference because latest stable release is at 7 version. Plus, in-order to get the skins for the launcher like your home screen and the application drawer cyanogen uses ADW Launcher and you can search at market (Google Play)for ADW skins, Keep searching on and you will get the good stuff.

Rooted ROM Advantage:

This ROM has full features to get advantage of the rooted phone, you can customize the phone the way you want and it can give you pretty results, I will show you in the next upcoming posts that how can you customize it better in a rooted way ;).

Permission Management:

Have you installed any application? and don't want that application to be spyware then cyanogen is the right choice for you, because you can revoke any application permission with your own desire, Just to have some more security this is the best feature, To enable this go to Setting>>CyanogenMod Settings>>Application Setting and Tick Permission Management. After that go to application management from your device and below the application management after opening specific application you can edit the permissions.

Overclocking the CPU:

In cyanogenMod you can over-clock your cpu without using the third party application like setcpu etc. You can easily setup the maximum and minimum CPU frequency and keep in mind that you may not set wrong values or much high which may be bad for your phone. Do some Google searches for your mobile to get the best values for your mobile. For this go to >> Setting >> CyanogenMod Settings and Performance.

This was just a review on my personal basis because I used this ROM and found it to be good. You should also share your views in the comments, Plus tweaks for Cyanogen ROM will be posted soon.

This must be the holy grail of hacking: a cheap, do-it-yourself flying drone that can break into Wi-Fi networks and turn computers into zombies that can be controlled remotely. The coolest part for evildoers: it makes the hacking untraceable.

Technical Information:

The SkyNET drone is a modified $300 Parrot quadcopter with a Linux computer, 3G card, a GPS unit and two Wi-Fi cards.

How It works:

Controlled by a botmaster using 3G, the drone or group of drones fly over any urban area looking for Wi-FI networks. As they find them, they automatically try to break in. Once they get inside the network, it searches for personal computers that can be compromised. Any computer that falls to the attack gets turned into a zombie without the user ever knowing it.

After the infection process, the hackers can easily control the zombies remotely through the Wi-Fi drone-to-host connection. The zombies can be used to perform any attack through their internet connections, receiving commands from SkyNET but with no traceable internet ties to the hacker botmaster:

Subsequent drone flights are used to issue command and control without ever linking the botmaster to the botnet via the Internet. Reverse engineering the botnet, or enumerating the bots, does not reveal the identity of the botmaster.

It's a perfect idea. Total cost: a mere $600. Anyone can easily build a complete fleet of these.

Here, I shall let you know that how can you make chrome install in Linux and can run it as root. Even in Backtrack 5.

Installing Chrome in Linux (Backtrack, Fedora, Ubuntu):-

Download the chrome Package, Latest on from here.

Download the debian package according to your system. Whether its 32bit or 64bit choose in accordance to them.

Suppose its downloaded to Downloads (There after downloading rename the dowloaded file as chrome.deb). Open the terminal. Write following commands:- 1- cd /root/Downloads 2- dpkg -i chrome.deb

It will be installed now. If you are using as root then under terminal type google-chrome and hit enter. You will see an error that you are logged in as root unable to start Google Chrome.

Making it Run under the Root:-

Go to terminal. Type:- 1- gedit /usr/bin/google-chrome 2- Gedit window will popup. In the end line with a space write :- --user-data-dir and click save. You are done. Run chrome and it will flare up like a fire. They become victim of such attacks because of the fact that they even don’t know about the word “Security”. There systems are majorly not up to date in order to meet the recommended requirements for security. As a result due to many weaknesses present in there system these are easily exploitable without any warning. I am publishing this article to help you let you know that how can you make your self more and more secure. It would not be the end there will be surely many more other ways to help you make your system more secure but once you get to the proper line you will be able to identify the frauds just at your own. I have already published many articles to let you know about the dark aspect of the technology. The Hacking! if you are a regular reader than you might be well aware of many facts already. What I'll share today is the basics tips and tricks to ensure maximum security. There may be many further articles related to this section. So, better subscribe to Us.

1- Ensuring proper Viral Protection:-

Without a proper viral protection environment you are probably the victim of the latest viruses which may take your computer at the edge of the death. These viruses are often very harmful and are able to convert your smart available data in junked one. Without much effort. You should use a better antivirus program to ensure a maximum security against the viruses. Before buying a good antivirus you must check that! A good antivirus must have :-

Real Time Scanning for Threats

Real Time Web URL’s Scanning

Real Time Updates from the server for the new viruses

A Real time functional Firewall to monitor any kind of IP attacks and On-going and ingoing traffic

Real Time protection against all the viruses and phishing pages. In short a Web Protection Tool kit must be present.

Try Using Nod 32 Or Eset Smart Security! Get one working here!

2- Making Use of Virtual Safe Environment to Access Viral and Infected Files:-

Sometimes we are forced to check some infected executable files. Here comes into play a Virtual Machine which will help you a lot in checking those infected files without infecting your real system and the Windows or OS under the use. I have posted some articles to install any OS under virtual environment. The theme is this that you can install “Virtual Box” or “VM Player” to use virtual Hard Disks and Virtual OS installed on them. So, After installing you can download any doubted file and can run that for inspection on the Virtual Machine. Lets, suppose that’s a keylogger, then a antivirus program will popup to help you out. Or else if you have run it, then go to processes and check any additional logging processes which can be associated to key logging feature on your machine. For processes open Task Manager. On upper Tabs the second tab is for process list. Read this article also:-

How to Detect and Destroy Keyloggers

3- Make your USB or Removable Media Virus Proof:-

You can always make your USB drive or Removable Media auto immune from the viruses. The most viruses come into play because of the fact that a single USB often gets attached to a large number of the computers because of the portability factor. So, system wide usage makes it full of virus sometimes and plugging that USB into a clean computer makes that affected also. Read this post to make your USB secure:-

Make your USB safe from viruses and Autorun Commands

USB Disk Security – Make your USB Virus Proof

USB IS INFECTED! I NEED IMPORTANT DATA! Now?

The best available option is to make a Live Linux USB and then booting your computer from that after that plug in the viral USB which is suspected to have some Windows OS viruses. And get to the detailed listing mode i-e in which the file types is also shown. Keep the following points in mind (Press ctrl+H in Linux to get the hidden files also):-

Folders shown with .exe Extension should be ignored.

Any small File which is in hidden mode and appears to be in .exe format and .bat ones should also be ignored.

Don’t forget to check the autorun.ini file which will give you the information that which files should be executed on plugging in the USB

The music files and Images in most cases are safe from the viruses. Keep them under white list!

The software setup’s in more cases get infected. So, keep them at risk and don’t execute them under the Windows without scanning with a proper antivirus

If you can’t find any data. Then you can recover deleted or formatted USB data also. I shall post a tutorial on how to recover data using Linux and Windows.

Shortcut Autorun Virus Removal and Data recovery Short Technique

4- Visiting the Sites safely as much as possible:-

Often times Hackers lay down a trap to hack people innocent like you. But you don’t get what's going to happen with you and thus you become an easy victim. You might have read about the botnet as I have already posted. Now, a hacker makes you slave with many techniques present or many techniques hidden too which just a sharp mind can think or invent. We call these all techniques social engineering.

Hacker! Making you a Victim:-

Often you visit any site and there you see images which are quite tempting for you and are offer giving images to earn more from the internet quickly! Now the fact is this that we can only earn a right income just by doing hard work. Now, lets suppose antivirus program isn’t installed so you click that images. You are headed to some destination or else a file is downloaded! Suppose the first case and then you are headed to a simply designed page there a PDF is provided in which ways are written to help you earn money. But wait! Install a proper antivirus and then download that PDF. Because there may be a keylogger attached to it or some kind of RAT.

Note:- You should be concerned about downloading anonymous and promising PDF’s or files which you may think that these may be affected with viruses. So, it’s a good choice to install a better antivirus if that’s not that case that, virus isn’t encrypted to bypass the antivirus so a better antivirus is always suggested. Plus! Subscribes to us to get all the latest updates on scam and spams.

Rest information will be posted soon! It can also be used to scan the security of the computer which is connected to the internet. It basically scans the open ports and then checks for the vulnerabilities present in the services running on those ports. It is always useful for a server admin or else of any system to be aware of the weak points of the server security so that he may make it a hack proof system. That's why I decided to post a tutorial on this site to help you all scan for the weakness in accordance with the latest increasing available exploits.I suggest using backtrack as every thing is already cooked up there. In any other Linux you may have to install all the packages first.

Installing Nessus in Linux:-

Download the Nessus from the official site. Run the following commands under the terminal, If it's present in Downloads:-

cd /root/Downloads (replace root with the username using which you have logged in)

dpkg -i Nessus-4.4.1-ubuntu1010_i386.deb

Note:- "Nessus-4.4.1-ubuntu1010_i386.deb" is the name of downloaded .deb file. It depends on your version and name of the downloaded nessus version.

If you want it to be installed on any other system then kindly read this official PDF file to get further information. Download Nessus Installation Guide

Registering and Setting up Nessus:-

Lets start this part, Keep on reading and if you need any help comment to ask:-

I am using "Backtrack 5 r1", So, here I shall go to (A little bit of further effort may tell you how to configure that in any other Linux, as its not much different. Except the menus might be different) Applications>Backtrack>Vulnerability Assessment>Vulnerability Scanners>Nessus>Nessus Register .

Browser will popup and there it will give you choice whether to use nessus at home or at commercial level. For commercial use you have to purchase a license. So, I am assuming you want to use it at home. Thus select "Using Nessus at home" and next click agree at next page.

There provide your email address and then login into your email account and there you have to verify it for nessus and get the activation code needed. Copy that code provided in email which is in the format of xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx

Open up the terminal and there write following command:-
<blockqoute>/opt/nessus/bin/nessus-fetch --register xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx</bloclquote>
So, press enter, wait for nessus to fetch newest plugins to scan vulnerabilities and after that your nessus is registered and is ready to be used. Close the terminal.

Now again to go the panel and Applications>Backtrack>Vulnerability Assessment>Vulnerability Scanners>Nessus>nessus user add. There terminal will popup and then write your username there (Any which you may like) and press enter and write down the password.(Password characters may not be shown not even dots. So, don't worry just write the password),If it asks to give admin privileges in terminal type "y" and press enter. If it asks for any rules then just press enter. And in end it will ask for confirmation type "y" and hit enter.

Now, lets start nessus. Applications>Backtrack>Vulnerability Assessment>Vulnerability Scanners>Nessus>Nessus Start and click it. Terminal will popup showing starting Nessus.

Open up Mozilla (In my case mozilla worked well than chrome. Flash plugin must be pre-installed in browser.). Navigate to :- https://127.0.0.1:8834 and if it asks for exeption just add one. And let the nessus load. After loading just put the username which you have selected in step number 5 earlier and also type the password chosen there. Hit login and you have a working nessus. Don't you worry this isn't going to make your system much slower as compared to those third party softwares which may be used under Windows. As I have already posted a video on Linux Desktop effect at my YouTube channel which has been located here.Linux Desktop Effects Using Compiz - Watch at Youtube Now lets start that how can we install all such things:-

Installing Compiz and Emerald in Linux to Enable all 3D Effects specially Backtrack 5 r1

What we need is this that just open up the terminal and write down the following commands:-

If you are logged in as root then use following commands:-

apt-get install compiz compiz-fusion-plugins-extra emerald simple-ccsm fusion-icon

If logged in under ubuntu, fedora, opensuse etc. not as a root then use:-

sudo apt-get install compiz compiz-fusion-plugins-extra emerald simple-ccsm fusion-icon

If you want compiz-fusion-plugins-unsupported to be installed and on including this command in above written long command, gives an error during the terminal installation, then kindly download compiz-fusion-plugins-unsupported from here (Third Party Download Site Link). It will be located here in Download. So, to make it install open up terminal and write down the following commands one by one:-

1. cd /root/Downloads

2. dpkg -i compiz-fusion-plugins-unsupported.deb
Note:- {to read what these plugins do read wiki.compiz.org.Also you need a working internet connection}

After compiz and emerald installation what to do next!

Just go to System>Preferences>Appearence>Visual Effects (Tab) and then select custom or else ultimate graphics. Woa! Your linux is just tuned up now. Now next step is to go to System>Preferences>Simple Compiz Cofig. Setting Manager and then select those animation which you want to load. And tuneup every bits of your very own Linux with many animations and effects present in compiz.

Emerald

Launch the Emerald theme Manager from the same preferences located under system in the main panel. And then select which theme you want to choose. You will notice that on loading your default theme has already changed. Now, next step is to download more emerald themes and to import them in Emerald.

Some Troubleshooting:-

If you are using Intel graphics chipset then there are chances that you may have crashes on your system concerned with X0rg. To avoid this keep your drivers up to date. Plus! theres a little trick to avoid this. Load the Compiz Fusion Icon from the start panel. It may be in System Tools under Applications or else find it your self. Here a run key for that also which you may like to add at startup fusion-icon --no-start. Now once it loads then right click on its icon placed at the upper panel's corner and then select Reload Windows Manager. Screen may flicker and every thing will work fine. This trick will work specially if you get following errors:-

bo map failed to access (In x0rg.log)

Hope you liked this post, don't hesitate to ask fro help in comments. Aircrack-ng for IPhone:

It is the simple command line with graphical interface software which is used to crack wifi networks . It sends packets to the wifi network and then cracks the password file of the network .It is used widely and can be downloaded from here.

2. IWep Lite:

It is an Iphone applications which let you crack wifi network in less than 30 minutes . It is easy in use and can be understood easily rather than Aircrack-ng . It is Graphical interface with best utility and dictionary . Apart from Aircrac-ng it uses dictionary and so it is less trustworthy than Aircrack and can not crack every key. It is used more widely than Aircrack but it uses dictionary that's why it is on 2nd number. It can be downloaded from here .

3. WepGen:

WepGen is just another application which cracks the Wifi network by sending packets and it is rather easy in use than Aircrack but though it is on 3rd number due to it's popularity. It can be downloaded from here.

4. IWifi Hack:

It works on the same scene as other cracking softwares except iweplite means it sends packets and break in the security of a wifi network . It is easy in use and can easily be used by anyone. It can be download from here.

The hackers on facing the internet ban from the United states as a result of SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) have made a plan to launch there own satellite in the space for providing an internet which may be free from all kinds of bans and restrictions. This group of hackers belong to Germany.

What is this Plan and How is this Satellite going to work?

The plan majorly includes on launching a single satellite in the space and which will be a low orbit satellite. That will surely work under the solar power as per the satellite general rule of operation and will communicate with ground stations to make a network. This network will operate like a GPS system and will be called as “Hackerspace Global Grid (HGG)”. When any station will be under the satellite range then it will take the signals and will direct it to the other stations also and a user can gain permanent access to the network. This theory seems to be applied but there are certain hurdles in the plan and which needs to be resolved first.

Some Major Basic Hurdles:-

As we know that with the advancement of the technology we all are able to travel in the space and are able to send the satellites in the orbit of earth using rockets. But still this technology is hell costly also. Plus! There are no vital rules for the space like in case of earth and no single country can govern the space so anyone can make this satellite to stop work without any specific legal permission.

In order to make it a geo synchronous the radius of the orbit will surely get decreased and it will move in a fast manner and for the HGG project this distance seems to be large for the signals to be transmitted with a 100% quality aspect.

So what’s next with this HGG project?

The team is still moving forward to make this possible and its deciding to make the ground stations. (Install BackTrack 5 virtually) Since every computer user needs to access the files every where whether which OS is used as its necessary part of computing. In last tutorial I didn’t tell that how can we share our files between virtual machine and the host one. Now I made a video tutorial to make this possible by using Linux as host and Windows XP running as the guest OS. I have used virtual box. If you want to know that how virtual box can be installed in the Linux then comment here and I shall make a post for you. Stay tuned further post are also coming here on this blog to make Linux easier for you.

[How to] Share Files Between Linux Host and Windows Virtual Guest :-

What we shall need is to install the “Virtual Box Guest additions for the Virtual Box” to make the sharing done and also rest of the other compatibility options are also enabled. Lets learn in this video that how can we make them install.

Just a peaceful screen on clicking the VLC player under the application menu. Some entertainment was necessary so this made me feel angry that's why I started to search out for a fix to made it run. Then I came up to terminal and tried to run that without graphical interface and came with an error which had a theme like this:-

"Unable to run VLC under the root, Try other way to run as unprivileged user."

Thus, I thought to tried to sort this problem. Lets go with step by step process. Don't panic there is not much tedious process to follow. As most of the common users find linux to be weird than Windows.

How to Install VLC under Linux:-

Go to terminal and type this command:-

sudo apt-get install vlc

If it asks for password then write and press enter. Under the same terminal it will start installing vlc media player. (You need to be connected to internet. If not then download the vlc media player and place that in that pc where there is no internet) when you type the password there will be no characters shown so don't worry just write and hit enter.

Fix to make vlc run under Bactrack - Making VLC run under the root:-

Open the terminal.

Write this command and hit enter

hexedit /usr/bin/vlc

Press tab and you will see that blinker has been shifted to the 2nd group.

Find this geteuid._libc_start_man by scrolling the mouse wheel or else pushing the down button; and replace with this getppid.libc_start_man(i-e you just have to change the word take the pointer there and then just write; and you will see that alphabets different from the already there will start getting replaced by newly typed)

After done press ctrl+s and type y (means yes). You are done.

In the same terminal type vlc and hit enter. Woa! It runs now. Tune the speakers and let it go.

However, as many experts have previously explained, protecting your computer and network from intrusion by hackers is quite an easy task to achieve. It is more or less a case of simple precautionary measures that can ensure your system from being compromised. Here are a few of such measures, that you can take to avoid being a target of a cyber attack :-

Operating system manufacturers often release updates to address security concerns in their existing operating systems. You should make it a habit to keep your particular operating system updated.

Stay aware of the fact that many system hacks are due to user passwords that are easy to guess. So try to make all your passwords as a combination of symbols, numerals and letters which makes it difficult to guess.

Stay aware of the fact that many system hacks are due to user passwords that are easy to guess. So try to make all your passwords as a combination of symbols, numerals and letters which makes it difficult to guess.

You should use routers for any type of internet connection. Routers use a method known as Network Address Translation commonly abbreviated as NAT, which is functionally similar to a firewall. NAT prevents the ports from being scanned. Apart from that, the router adds to security by using external IP address while the computer utilizes an internal IP address.

Use good spyware and virus scanners and keep them updated regularly. This should prevent latest viruses from affecting your system.

Use WPA2 encryption technique if you are on a wi-fi network. It is better and comparatively more secure to the WEP encryption technique.

A good practice if you are into using wireless networks, is to change the network’s Service Set Identifier also known as SSID and setting it to invisible. The SSID acts as a unique identifier for your wi-fi network and is broadcasted by your router. This allows other devices which are trying to connect your network, to see your SSID. You can navigate to your router’s security settings and from there, you can change the network SSID from a manufacturer preset one to the one you desire. Then, you can also make it invisible so that your network will not be discoverable and your router will not broadcast the SSID information.

Open access wi-fi hotspots are networks which allow users to connect to them without a password. Open wi-fi networks seem to be lucrative options for accessing web content at places like airports. This is where it could actually become a potentially dangerous option as an intruder might connect to the same network and steal your sensitive information. One simple precaution that you can follow is to limit the content you access on such networks and avoid websites that require you to enter user-sensitive data.

The user has to be aware of the threats that surround him, if he wishes to combat them. On a conclusive note, you can really help the cause of protecting yourself from hackers if you follow simple rules and precautions as the ones outlined above.

About the Guest Author:-

Rebecca is a blogger by profession. No matter how much you may love your Android, however, it may not occur to you that you should try to protect it. You would not want a stranger to steal your car or your wallet, right? Why should your phone be exempt from any security precautions? Thankfully, there are Android apps that can help.

Protect Phone from Malware

If you want to protect your cell phone from danger, you are going to want to find an app that helps you deal with Malware. If you are unfamiliar with the term, Malware refers to software that damages or disables a computer's inner workings. This can render a computer almost useless, and sometimes requires that the computer be wiped clean and reset. For the cell phone, Malware can have similar results. If you should click on links that you do not recognize while browsing online on your Android, you can unknowingly pick up Malware.

Recover Lost Data and Images

People keep a lot of important information on their Android cell phones. Turn on your Android and you are likely to come across many kinds of data; from the phone numbers of your loved ones, to vacation photos, to information on your credit card, losing this information can prove devastating. If you do not know a phone number by heart, for example, it may be lost to you forever unless you can somehow recover it. Download an Android app that can help you recover your data and images and you will not have to worry.

Prevent Identity Theft

Should your Android fall into the wrong hands, you could be in for a lot of trouble. Some people snatch cell phones so that they can steal personal information such as addresses and full names. Once the stranger has this information, they can take your identity. They can purchase items in your name, leaving you with mysterious bills for things that you do not remember buying. By getting your hands on a special Android app that can protect sensitive information, you will spend more time enjoying the perks of your Android and less time hiding it.

Locate Stolen Phone

Losing a cell phone can be scary, no matter what kind it may be. When you lose your cell phone, it can feel like you are losing your connection to the world. If your phone is stolen, this can cause serious issues. You do not want the thief to make calls on your phone, so you should find a way to retrieve your Android as quickly as possible. There are apps available that can help you and law authorities locate your cell phone with little trouble. You may not believe that you need such an app, but it is better to play it safe.

Cut Back on Phone Bill Costs and Service Provider Contracts

Few people enjoy dealing with the high costs of cell phone bills. For those on a tight budget, they can be especially inconvenient. If you want to avoid this, you can do so by using something like Sim Only cards. Sim Only cards can also help you avoid the need to sign provider contracts. These cards are paid for when you need them; you do not have to pay any more than what is necessary, and there are no hidden fees. If you desire, you can also download an Android app that helps you keep track of your finances, giving you financial security.

About the Author:

This is a guest article by Ruben Corbo, a freelance writer for technology, travel, and music production topics. As the technology is progressing the common user is technically ignoring the practical aspect of any thing which he is using. Like he doesn’t know that after clicking this link received in the email what is going to happen? whether should I check that isn’t there any viral attack connected to it! Privacy of content is for every individual on this earth and what will you feel if you come to know that your all activities are being logged and can be used against you in worst cases. Surely! you won’t like this specially in case of your cell phone “A smart phone” which you buy to contact to your loved ones in a better way and with a better interface. Lets talk about a software in the Android which is automatically spying on you without your consent.

How: Your Android phone is being monitored:

Recently! a developer at android revealed that in your cell phone a built in application is present which is capable to log every activity of you done in your cell phone. In this case you may think that how actually this data is being sent to the application developers and the related companies of the cell phones for the security reasons. Well, what a cell needs it a network and if this is not present then in offline mode only a Wi-Fi network can send the whole logs. Check out the video made by Eckhart to reveal the truth about this software named as Carrier IQ.

This will let you know that before calling anyone you cell phone first stores and sends the log of the number of the person whom you are calling.

What: Is this software Carrier IQ:

According to the Carrier IQ official notes I came to know that according to them its been created to make the company well aware that what there network and OS is doing with the user, Whether he is happy with it or else there are some bugs appearing out there to embarrass him. According to them:

With Carrier IQ they do. Carrier IQ’s Mobile Service Intelligence solution eliminates guesswork by automatically providing accurate, real-time data direct from the source – your customers' handsets. Our powerful platform aggregates, analyzes and delivers that data via easy-to-use web applications that help wireless carriers make smart business decisions.

But its case sensitive, according to the Eckhart, as he showed that even messages were also being logged by this built in software. Also exactly one might think that SSL traffic is safe, but if you do think bit deeper you will come to know that whenever you are going to write some sensitive data then it surely goes through a secure tunnel but what? Its hijacked earlier because it been uploaded to the site where SSL is enabled by your very own Smart handset

Disabling and Deleting Carrier IQ out of your device:

Well! personally I didn’t got a way easy for a noob to delete that program by just tap of a hand over “Uninstall” from a smartphone. One way I got is this that you root you phone and get a custom Android firmware coded by the code provided by the Google. You can get many guides related to this that how can we root android smart phone and can install our own ROM, Well the new ROM must be free of the Carrier IQ software, make it sure, that’s why I recommended to get self coded firmware (AOSP Like Cynogenmode) released over internet. Hope! not much long, I will post about how to root android smartphone. All of the above means don’t use carrier modified ROM’s.

Detecting Carrier IQ in your smart phone:

One way has been described by Eckhart and which is by using Eckhart’s application. Trevor Eckhart’s Logging Test App v7 found on XDA, gives the user access to perform “CIQ checks” which will simply check if the application is installed on your device.

[Source of some information: Internet and Carrier ICQ Official site, Rest are tagged]

But Windows has also its own importance as according to my experience always in case of Photoshop like software’s and all that Windows has shown more stability, So every one is free to choose. Today, I have made a tutorial for you to run multiple operating systems under same Windows by simply virtualizing it like in the case I shall virtualize Linux (Back Track 5 r1) on the Windows Seven. Software I am going to us is Virtual Box.

[How to] Install BackTrack 5 R1 virtually at Windows With Virtual Harddisk - Video Guide

Note:- In the end I told you to get information from the post below, there I meant that remove the ISO of back track 5 from the startup of the backtrack 5 because if you won’t remove again after installation the virtual machine will boot from that, For that purpose go to settings after selecting your virtual machine in the Virtual Box and Go to storage in left pane and right click the ISO and click delete from the list. You are done If you want to add a cd rom simply add from here!

Update: Learn how to share Files between Linux and Virtual Windows and Vice Versa

I am going to write an alternative to somehow bring the aero like transparent effects in the basic windows seven also. Please, note that I shall use some third party software's to achieve so and will write my own experience using them.

Making Explorer.exe Transparent Or I may say Windows Transparent:-

You can achieve this by variety of ways, I shall describe a simple one here by using a third party software True Transparency. Which is capable of overlapping all the upper parts of the explorer.exe/ Windows with the transparent png’s which can be designed by you also If you know how to use Photoshop.

Download True Transparency

How to use True Transparency:-

After downloading, extract using Winrar and then run the application. It will start to run in the taskbar and you will notice that all the windows tops have turned transparent and shadow is also being dropped. Lets know how to customize it:-

If you want any program not to show transparent tops like Aero hen simply run that program and then go to True Transparency by right clicking its icon at task bar. Open Exclude manager, there you will find the name of the running program, right click that and click Add to exclude list.

If you want to change theme then simple go to Skins like the way described above, i-e right clicking the icon TL in task bar.

If you want to add more skins then simple design one by seeing the skins already added in the downloaded files, or else download any skin from Google and then paste that in the directory of the downloaded archive. (Assuming that you are using that downloaded archive at the running application since application doesn’t need any kind of installation)

Making Taskbar Transparent:-

In case of Windows Seven:-

Well windows seven still hasn’t any well written hack to do so, but I am going to use a third party software using which you can satisfy your need to much extent . Its Fade Taskbar. Download FadeTaskbar and then run it. It will also run in the taskbar, after that right click it and then you can set the transparency level at you own.

Note:- In this application taskbar is not always transparent i-e when you bring your mouse over taskbar it get opaque but when you don’t its transparent because it uses fade out effects. If you want permanent transparent taskbar then search for any other application like this one.

In Case of Xp Or any Other Windows:-

You can use variety of software's two of them are:-

Vistart By Crystal Xp – To have Seven Like Start Menu With transparent Aero Theme

You can use the above provided Taskbar Software's also. And can use Trans bar too. Google For other related software in XP case you can find many.

Changing Your Default Windows Seven Theme:-

Are you bored of your default theme? so lets have a combo of Black theme with Black Transparent skin of True Transparency to match with, I have provided one the in TL above.

Download the theme package (Provided by Devian Art)

Just run the take owner ship registry script present in the downloaded package. After that copy Aero present in the Aero Folder and go to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\Aero there find aero.msstyles , right click it and click Take Ownership and after that rename it as aero.backup (So, that you may restore it by renaming aero.msstyles again in case of any wrong doing) and then paste there the copied aero file from downloaded package. Now in the downloaded package go to :- patcher and then run the Universal patcher according to your system like if its 32 bit run x86 and if 64 bit run x64 and then hit all the 3 patches. You are done. Click the Correct Design in the downloaded package i-e the main theme and restart computer and you are done. Its changed A nice combo black transparent TL and a black theme with transparent bar.

If you can add more using your own experience then kindly share with us in comments, plus let us know about more applications for customizations, so that we may update post for newbies out there, Thanks

One way will be by using a software and the other will be manual one or else we can say by using a small trick. But First I’ll recommend you to hack your cell phone so that you will be able to install that software without any certificate error. But do that hacking at your own risk, I am not responsible for any kind of damage done to your cell phone, all that is done according to your own consent and will. Lets start the tutorial!

Changing Font of Nokia Symbian Phones by Using FlipFont:-

It is a software which can be download according to your cell phone and can be installed in seconds, after installing restart phone and then choose the font and again restart the phone and thus font will be in working, and you will see that your cell phone font style has been changed. I have uploaded this software for 3rd edition Symbian's here. And if you have other version of Symbian phone then you can search at Google i-e Flipfont for 5th edition Symbian phones etc. And can download the appropriate version available for all mobile phone from here.

Changing/Hacking Symbian OS Font By Using Manual Way:-

This would be a convenient way and also trial less specially I did this with my phone instead of installing a software. As you can use a True Type Font in your Nokia Handset. Following are the steps:-

First of all you need to download Y-Browser for your mobile phone. If you have Symbian 3rd Edition, download Y-Browser from here. If not Use Google

Install Y-browser in the mobile phone and Run it from installations. After that go to Z:\ or else Y:\ where resources folder may be found, except the memory card, I mean be bit tricky and go inside system drives which Y-browser will show, Inside the resources folder go to Fonts and then write down the same name of four fonts as there is written. (e-g:- nohinditsb60, S60ZDIGI………)

Download a True Type Font or else get one from C:\windows\fonts if you are using Windows. Make Four Copies of it and then rename all the four as the one which you have written before in step 2.

Attach the phone to the computer and go to memory card, let the computer show you the hidden files (Go the Folder Options/View and Click Show Hidden Files and Press OK) and there in memory card you will see folder resources and in resources create folder fonts and paste the four modified true type font there. If no resources folder is present in memory card then create one.

Restart the phone and WOW! Font has been changed with the one True Type you have placed in memory card.

If you are truly concerned about your blog, you won’t envision it being hacked. Power bloggers are spending high bills to guarantee the security of their blogs. Though, not all of us can afford spending much cash to ensure the security of our blogs there are some smart ways to keep your blog safe from hackers.

While promoting my discount coupon blog where I talk about weight watchers and ediet, I have learnt some proper ways to make sure your blog is safe from hackers without necessarily having to spend too much money in the process. I am going to share some of these tips with you in this blog post.

I turn on my firewall

A firewall is a program that is built in your computer’s operating system to protect your network from being penetrated without your notice. Firewall is the “antivirus” built for your computer at default. If you need more security, you’ll have to turn your firewall on.

To ensure that my computer is intact and safe from intrusion that might cost me my blog, I make sure my computer’s firewall is always on.

I use alphanumeric password combination

If your Wordpress password is not strong enough, just a few trial of “brute force” would actually give access to your blog’s dashboard. You should make sure your passwords are strong enough by combining numbers with letters. Avoid using your birthday dates as your passwords.

It’s also risky to use you the same password for your several accounts. When choosing passwords for your email addresses, Wordpress or social media accounts make sure you use entirely different password combinations for each of them.

I always make sure my computer is free of virus

I know that having a single virus in my computer can put my confidential life in jeopardy so I always make sure my computer is free from viruses. There are several ways to make sure your computer is not going to contact virus. Below are some tips that will help you stay away from viruses while using your computer on the internet or offline.

While surfing the internet avoid visiting portals you don’t know the reason of their existence.

When downloading attachments from emails, make sure they are scanned with a solid antivirus program.

Install a strong antivirus program on your computer to prevent unwanted programs from floating into your system from the internet or from a virus infested flash drive.

For Using Strong Antivirus I would say that use Eset Smart Security and Inorder to remain safe from USB scams read or Shortcut Autorun Virus on Flash Drive – Be Safe use USB Disk Security.

I don’t share my details unnecessarily

Sharing your confidential details carelessly can lead to you losing your accounts. You should avoid telling you passwords and usernames to people you hardly know. People hardly trust others with such information because it can lead to terrible situations.

You might tell your friend what the password to your account is, but he may not be careful with it enough as you would.

I don’t share the details of my coupon blog with just anybody. Doing so will only lead to something, my blog being hacked!

Introduction About Author:-

John Edget is a blogger from discount coupon blog weightlosstriumph.com, where he shares coupons for weight watchers and ediet coupons. But now I am going to share a genuine scheme to hack any Symbian phone by just following some simple steps. Well, What you get from a hacked phone?

> It can be customized as required. Since system files are accessible always.

> Any application with an expired certificate can be installed. Because a hacked Symbian won’t ask for certificate. (However, Be sure not to install spammy and viral software. Do at your own risk.)

1- Lets start that how can we do it, First you should download this whole package from below which contains those tools which are going to be used while hacking any Symbian phone.

Download Symbian Hacking Tools (Server One)

Download Symbian Hacking Tools (Server Two)

2- After downloading extract and copy all the material present in the downloaded archive into your Symbian cell phone.

3- Download X-plore from here and install it into your Symbian cell phone to view files. If you own Nokia E-series mobile phone (E60, E61, E70, ...),
you may need to do following in order to allow phone to install X-plore

    Open Application Manager
    Choose Options, then Settings
Switch Software installation to *All* (not *Certified only*)

4- Install the Mobile Security present in the extracted package and then open up the X-plore after restarting your cell phone, and copy tmquarantine (present in ROM Patcher + 3.1 Lite and then C) from the extracted package present in cell phone and paste this folder in c:\ of the cell phone just using X-plore. Now again open antivirus i-e Mobile security and then go to quarantine list and select all and then restore.

As a result of restoration the quarantined files needed for hacking are now in c:/sys/bin that’s what we wanted.

5- Now run and install RomPatcherPlus_3.1_LiteVersion present in the download package and then apply the “Open4All RP+” using this now you are able to get into the any system file of Symbian OS.

6- Also apply “Install Server RP+” and then due to this you will be able to install nay unsigned application without any certificate error but always be conscious don’t install any viral application, Since Hackers Thirst is not responsible.

Note:- If Red sign comes on applying “Install Server RP+”, then manually search installserver.exe for your cell phone using Google and then using X-plore paste that in c:\sys\bin and cheers you will be done. Ask me for any help or getting installserver.exe for your set phone also.

Lets make it a bit faster by just using your own DSL Modem or else you may call router.

Here, I’ll try my best to take both xp as well as windows seven. Using this your time will surely get safe from getting wasted and you will be able to transfer your data from your pc and laptop running under same internet connection in seconds.

Things You will need:-

1) A laptop and Personal computer (Or more computers also) connected to same ADSL modem or router.

2) A bit of brain and some settings needed to run such a sharing among home group.

Using Windows Xp to share Your Files:-

First of all Make sure that you are connected to router or ADSL Modem.

Open Network Places. In the right pane click Show icons for networked UPnP device. If your ADSL Modem icon show up then surely its connected.

After that Click Set up a home or small office network in the same quick task right pane. (If you can’t see any right pane then go to Folder Options in the tools of the Window Explorer i-e in the same Folder of Network places in upper Menu Bar and select the Firs option in Tasks and hit OK.)

Press Next and then again next and at the stage where it shows any disconnected hardware, Tick Ignore Disconnected Hardware and Let it go by using options suitable for you. And in the end it will ask for computer restart do that, After during this set up letting the Windows set the name of the sharing group to be Mshome.

Now, do this same thing in the other Computer or laptop which you are going to share with the one described above.

After this Right click the folder which you want to share.
