このアパートは本当に好きだよ！すごい便利だし、仕事までは４分以内に行けるから。いつかは引っ越したいんだけど会社から遠くなっちゃったらイヤになるかも。
っていうか、まだBloggerにビデオをアップロードするのはわからない今日もテストしてる。昨日のビデオは多分ちょっと大きかった失敗したから今回は小さいのを載ってみる。これは僕のアパートから英会話学校の本校まで（４分以内に）。
もう眠いからこれだけにする（浜松は暑くて毎日は眠くてしょうがないよ！）

Being able to get from my apartment to my school in less than 4 minutes is one of the reasons I've fallen in love with the place I call home. If I move again I'm going to have to think really carefully about the location, because I'm not sure I could go back to hour long commutes again.

じゃじゃ〜ん！これです

やっとビデオがちゃんと撮れました、と言ってもあまり上手くはなかった。途中にカメラが落ちちゃって最後の方はチャリのバスケットばっかり撮ってた。
でも、悪い画像はないよりましだと思ってアップロードしました。
できればこういう風なビデオは毎回アップロードしたいんだけど、どうですか？

Well, this is it! This is the product of my recent purchase. I now have a camera attached to my bike. This is closer to what I had in my head when I first decided to start this blog, hopefully some of the other ideas will also be realised over the coming weeks, and I might even have a blog worth visiting before the end of the summer (although I doubt it!). Let me know what you think of the video, it's not very good, as I need to adjust the angle, but this was only a test.

結局直接にアップロードできなかった。Bloggerには問題がありそうだからしばらくはGoogle Videoを使ってアップロードします。

Back at the Immigration Centre

あ〜っ、戻りましたね、入国管理局に。
ちょうど3週間が経ったけど一回もブログしなかった、ごめんね。
でも、いっぱいあったよ！まずは、左には浜チャリのリンクを付けといた。FlickrとYouTubeは写真と動画のサイトで僕はビデオなどあったらそこにアップロードするから時々チェックして。MySpaceは欧米で人気のあるSNS、まだ使い方わからないから何も書いてないけど後で何とかする。(^-^)v
第2はもっと素晴らしいもの、何とチャリに付けるカメラを買っちゃいましたよ！今日は試してて、今晩はここにアップロードしてみます。
では、その時まで…

Well, after three weeks of silence I'm back! This time new and improved in time for summer.
I've added some links on the left-hand side to places like Flickr and YouTube which I would encourage all of you to browse.
And I have bought a new toy for my chari. If you want to know what then you can either look at the picture above and try to guess, read the Japanese part of this post, or just wait for my next post where it should all become clear.

Fun at the immigration centre

Well, it's that time again, another year in Hamamatsu is almost over and I'm back at the immigration centre to renew my visa.
The centre is quite an interesting building. I'm told it's quite new, but it already looks incredibly old. They've taken the concept of 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' quite a long way and both the interior and the exterior are something of a quaint throwback to the 1970's. Full of bus-terminal seats and yellowing paper notices I'm a little afraid of letting them see my mobile phone in case the new technology scares them.
However, I have to be careful not to do a disservice to staff working here, especially the older gentleman who is always smiling （albeit the slightly maddened smile of one who knows a good joke, but doesn't want to share）.
But, as you should've guessed by now, the second anniversary of my being in Hamamatsu is almost upon me (on the 28th actually) and I've got to start thinking about suitable ways to celebrate. If you have any suggestions then please let me know.

いよいよまた浜松にいる一年が終わってしまいます。最近時の流れが速くなったと感じる。
そのために入館に来た。今のうちにビザの延長を申込まないと危険なことになる！
入館のビルがちょっと変わってて面白いよ！結構新しいと聞いたけど、もうだいぶ古くみえるもの。パソコンなどの姿が全然なくて、まるで７０年代に戻った気がする。
でも、ここで働いている方々は全然悪くないよ。うるさい外人いっぱいの騒いでいるところで働いているのはきっとつらいね。(^-^)v （僕はそのうるさい外人の一人なんだけど…）。
で、話題をちょっと変えて、後ちょっとは僕が浜松に来てから２年の記念日があります！しかも今年は土曜日（２８日）になる。せっかくだから当日は何かやりたいなぁ〜って思ってる。でも、何をすればいいかがまだよくわからないから、もしアイディアがあったら言ってね！

Sunshine after the storm

台風がなくなって、今日はちょうどいい天気だよ！
だからチャンスを逃がさなく北の田舎に来ました！(^-^)v
今は都田の滝沢でブログしてる、2週間前はD-believeの皆さんと一緒にここでバーベキューをやったけど、今日は全然別の川みたい。
休憩が終わったら浜北のショッピングセンターへ行ってみようと思っている。今度はちゃんと紹介しますよ。

Well, after the horrible weather over the last few nights here, which included a typhoon, today has been absolutely ideal weather. So, after hanging out almost a week's worth of washing on the balcony and getting my chari checked out out the local shop, I decided to come out to the countryside - a place called Takizawa to be exact.
I came here two weeks ago with the guys at D-believe for a barbecue, but it looks completely different today. The river is so high that where we were is now under quite a lot of water and swimming would just be too dangerous.
I'm going to head to the new shopping centre in Hamakita next, I'll tell you all about it next time.

Learning to blog

I'm still incredibly new to the whole idea of blogging and have so far been making a lot of mistakes - and I will continue to make mistakes for a while yet!
One mistake, though, was forgetting to set up the comments properly, it was set to 'Members Only' so on one could write anything. But now it's been set properly so please show your love by sending me lots me comments! (^-^)v

ブログのことには僕がまだ初心者だから間違いだらけになってしまったみたい！
一つのはコメントのところは「会員のみ」と設定されちゃったから書き込めない人がいるそうだった。でも、今は直して誰でもコメントしていいよ！

Under Water

昨日もすごい天気だったよ！何かフェートちゃんが怒っているみたい ‐ 僕はちょうどブログを始まったときからはチャリをほとんど使えない天気ばっかり！
今回の写真は昨日、車から撮った姫街道なの。まるで川だったよ！
でも、週末はまだまだ諦めてないよ！雨だって、行けるなら行きたい。

Yesterday was another unbelievable day for weather! The rain came down so hard that the streets were like rivers in some places, especially Hime Kaido - a picture of which I took while I was in a car going home （as I couldn't ride my bike upstream and against the wind I got a lift from a collegue）

It's raining today so I decided to have lunch at an okonomiyaki restaurant in my neighbourhood.

やだなぁ〜、今日も雨が止まずに降り続くようね。ま、梅雨なもんだね。
今はこの天気であまり遠くまで行きたくないから僕ん家のすぐ側にあるお好み焼き屋で食べながらこのブロッグを書いてる。ここは安くて結構美味しいお店だから、近くにいたら寄ってみて！
じゃ、週末はどこへ行こうかな？まずは天気予報みないと、でも浜北の方に新しいショッピングセンターができたのでそこを通って行ったらいいかも。で、帰る道に寄ってみる。

Late night musings

Well, I finally went out and got my phone back. I'm now sitting in a Taiwanese restaurant trying to collect my thoughts.
This is the second lazy weekend I've had in a row and it's definately not a good thing. The least I could have done is clean my apartment properly. But no, all I managed to do was spend too much money drinking.
I really need to get myself sorted out... But first I have a strange craving for some 杏仁豆腐
