Williamsburg is, of course, home to Colonial Williamsburg, and the historic Jamestown Settlement, both providing a real life, interactive look back in history, going beyond the typical museum. Parents always appreciate the history lessons shared as children get a glimpse into the challenges and opportunities that the colonists overcame, often deepening their own appreciation, as well as the kids. Children get to run and touch and be kids in a stimulating learning environment.

Of course, what they are all secretly doing is biding their time until the next day because Mom said that if they behaved themselves today, they could go to the Busch Garden amusement park and Water Country USA water park. The Old Coast Guard Station honors and preserves the history of Virginia’s coastal communities and maritime heritage.
