When it comes to the latest gadgets, people are extremely discerning, when it comes to clothing the same, but when it comes to the houses we live in, we in the UK seem to put up with terrible conditions. We pay well over the odds for old decaying property, or modern cramped boxes made of cheap materials. Fortunately things are looking up!

There are few countries in the world as obsessed about property as the UK. It is almost a national belief that money in bricks and mortar is as good an investment as anything. Of course, with such an overwhelming national belief fuelled by "propertyganda[1] ", the property ‘market’ has become a property bubble which has been steadily growing over the last 15 years.

UK housing is mostly made up of overvalued old fashioned housing stock of 100 years vintage plus, and new cramped accommodation built as cheaply as possible. In cities like London, many buyers prefer older type properties, largely because they offer better proportions to their modern equivalents, and despite their age a better quality of build. The Georgians and Victorians built their homes on a compact footprint, but gave them the high ceilings and generous proportions which make them feel spacious. I know of a Georgian terrace town house of circa 1810 with a footprint of 90m2, set over 5 floors, has a total living space of 360m2. It also has 12ft ceilings and that feeling of space so important in a cramped city. Despite being at the end of a terrace next to a busy roundabout, neither the traffic nor the next door neighbours can be heard, but this might be down to the end walls which are over 1m thick? A modern equivalent would have been constructed to the cheapest possible price would be noisy and cramped.

Unfortunately property developers are pushed to build properties which makes them money as they build on expensive land, and this often means scrimping on the proportions and materials. Gone are the high ceilings, and gone are the good sized rooms. Small property developers have a lot to answer for too, they take original period properties and chop them up in ways that destroy their original features. If you have ever been unfortunate enough to be looking for accommodation at the bottom end of the market in London, you have experienced the cheek some property developers have as they try to pawn off rubbish housing stock. Sadly due to the lack of property and abundance of takers, they typically get what they want for their overpriced rubbish.

Santiago Townhouse, BHA winner by Alex and Edward King

Unlimited credit and the belief that investing money in housing has given us an enormous property bubble; trillions is locked away in old housing which is falling apart. We hope of course, having paid over odds for a knackered old motorcar, that when we come to sell, someone else is willing to pay more than we did for ours. Sadly the same rationale that applies to cars does not apply to houses. What we have in the UK is a supply shortfall, a belief in rising prices, and (up until recently) a free supply of credit. We have a pyramid scheme which is only being held up by the fact that interest rates are so low, so the ‘investors’ have no problems staying put on the scheme. Renters are also footing the bill of this property speculation frenzy. If interest rates rise, as they have to at some point, expect chaos in the UK economy, which is largely underpinned by the housing bubble.

This wouldn’t be such a bad thing however. Revolution needs a shift of power and rocking of foundations. Low interest rates lead to investment, and credit falls along with house prices. Well that’s the bad news, what about the good news?

Well, the good news for the future is that the antiquated and restrictive planning laws are changing for the better, and this will bring about a better quality of housing, more of it, and a more modern approach to building energy efficient spaces which are a pleasure to inhabit. What’s more these buildings needn’t cost the earth. Clever use of space management reflecting the way that we live nowadays (does anyone eat in the dining room anymore?) we can have a compact footprint dwelling which gives the impression of space, lots of glass lots of light and modern materials and making the house energy efficient and comfortable place to live. Furthermore modern buildings should incorporate parking, as modern life requires cars whereas in 1895 people didn’t have them, and garages actually wide enough to park your car inside, not just for storing boxes!

Recently GQ magazine looked at a number of areas of life which were due some rethinking. GQ Create Britain looked at a number of aspects of modern life and assessed how they might be improved upon, one of which was town housing. The British Homes Awards showcased a number of designs.

Tim Murray and Ben Addy of exciting architect firm Moxon Architects are passionate about modernising housing for the 21st Century. People should expect more from their homes rather than settling for the little shoe boxes they are currently presented with by property developers who themselves are held in check by stringent and old fashioned planning rules. The compact and modular aspects of the New London Terrace (above) shows what can be done with a small footprint and clever use of space, incorporating the best elements of 18th and 19th century design. The future of UK housing looks bright with these kind of visionaries on board, and not before time either!

[1] Propertyganda is talking up of the property market by those parties with a vested interest.

For some reason, human beings seem to be programmed to solve problems. I guess it’s just part of coming to a place like planet earth where things are not quite as good as they might be, and finding out ways to make things better. We human beings are good at that; discovering better ways of doing things. We like to really dig in and find out what’s wrong with something, and then try to really sort it out.

Unfortunately, in reality this tactic never really works that effectively. You see, the human brain acts rather like a giant CB radio transmitter / receiver. It can emit signals, and it can pick up signals. the signals transmitted and received are thoughts. Instead of having a little vibrating crystal inside like a radio does, humans excite the radio waves by thinking thoughts. So thoughts are vibrations? Actually everything is. At the centre of all matter is vibration. Everything physical and non physical vibrates. The stuff called matter that you see around you is vibrating, and if you could get in close enough to inspect it, you would find multiple minute solar systems within the tiniest particles of life.

There are different grades of vibration, or better put different frequencies; from solid matter which is a relatively dense form of energy or relatively slow vibration, up through liquids which are less dense or a higher vibration, and gases which are a higher vibration still, and then light which is even higher or finer quality energy, then you have thought which higher again. The top level is ‘Mind’ or ‘God’, as some might call it. Most people are unable to see the very fine and high freqency vibrations which make up thoughts, but just as the dog can hear very high frequency sounds, some people have the ability to percieve very high frequency vibrations such as though forms. These Clairvoyants can see the energy. Law of attraction causes an amalgamation of like thoughts and when enough of these similar thoughts coalesce under the right conditions, someone who is able to see the lighter fractions of energy, sees these thoughts as ghosts and other apparitions. Bigfoot? Flying saucers? They are most likely just thought forms, the creation of man’s imagination. Every time Steven Spielberg makes a movie he is creating thought forms through his and his audience’s focussed thoughts.

There is of course a difference between the way that life on earth has been thought into being, and what we might reasonably call’ ghosts’ and other apparitions. Creation of physical life happens through a process of concentrated, focussed, Thought. But it’s not man that’s doing all or even most of the work. The non-physical, non-place, from which we all come (heaven if you will) is full of highly focussed beings who focus on the best ideas that we come up with. They are largely responsible for bringing these ideas into being. We human beings are but a minor part of the overall power of focus on what is becoming. We need only be ready to receive the things being focussed on by non-physical, and if we’re not ready for ideas and inventions, they don’t come. Just as the physical ‘you’ has thought a project or an experience or a business into life, so has your non-physical or God part of you projected the physical ‘you’ into being in the physical life in which you are now existing (and when you die you will go back to that energy).

You cannot escape from whence you have come, and you are constantly being held to account; as your thoughts match those of your God-self, you feel wonderful. As they clash with the thoughts of your God-self you don’t feel so good. As your God-self understands that Law of Attraction (and focussed thought) will bring about the changes that you want, it focusses completely on that better improved life, the rich successful beautiful fulfilled you. "That" being every little thing that you have determined that you want out of life, or prefer, or fancy, or desire, no matter how big or small. And when you look around you at the planet on which you are standing and what has been set up here, you have to admit, that is some pretty serious focus going on. So when you think contrary thoughts to those of your non-physical counterpart, you’re going against a pretty strong current. And it doesn’t feel feel good to do it. In fact it takes its toll on you emotionally and physically.

The good news is that the power of focus of the creative force is immense, and if you just relax and let ‘the universe’ do the work, it will. Consider it your ‘behind the scenes team who sort everything out for you, smooth the path before you arrive, make sure that only the right people (those on the guest list) make it to your party’. Chill out and let big things happen (be honest, you weren’t trying very hard to make the earth spin today were you?)

But I digress. Back to the point. Just as you want to listen to a particular radio station on the radio, and you tune your radio receiver to the signal of that station, so it is in life; you can tune your thoughts to the ‘station’ that you want to live. Some people allow their thoughts to be tuned to the thoughts of those they grew up with, their parents and guardians. It’s not difficult, often we can’t help but be affected by those around us, especially when they are so much bigger, and seem so much more capable and willing to provide us with guidance. So we usually pick up very limiting beliefs along the way, or choose to give our attention to newspapers and books, TV shows, religions and ideologies and let them set the tone of our radio stations and hence our lives. Of course as life reflects back to you the essence of the radio station that you are broadcasting, so you get your beliefs shown back to you by life, and as you observe your life, you firm up your belief of things being that way, and then you have it shown back to you and you observe it (and on and on it goes). Life is essentially just a reflection in physical terms of how you feel about it on the various subjects of life. You might think that ‘they’ are doing things to ‘you’, but actually, you (and you are usually doing it inadvertently) are doing these things to yourself, and those around you are just reflecting back to you how you feel. Sounds like a disaster I know, but it’s actually the best news, because if you’re willing to accept responsibility for your life, you’re on the road to self empowerment, and that is where you want to be isn’t it? It’s where everyone wants to be.

Life is a complicated affair, and there is a preponderance of information around which makes trying to sort things out just the hardest thing. Most people, in a failed attempt to try and control outside circumstances, and rather than guiding their own thoughts and emotions, become blinkered by life. They struggle to explain why things happen the way they do, and in order to maintain some semblance of a stable reality, they cling to fragile beliefs as though they were facts, never really being stable enough to probe the rather obviously flexible membrane of reality (I will talk more about the slowness of human evolution in the coming weeks). Life advances slowly, people don’t get it, and we all look rather primitive in the way that we live our lives.

It is impossible to sort life out into piles of right and wrong. There are too many players, and every single one has their own personal perspective and each of these is unique and valid. There is not one person alive who thinks like you do. Even your partner or spouse is very different to you in their desires and aspirations. The more you look at something, the more you tune your radio to it, be it disaster and failure, or success joy and fun; the worse it gets the worse it gets, or the better it gets the better it gets. Complaining brings you more to complain about, and trying to fight to get to the bottom of problems rarely gives any satisfying resolution. Sure, there is an element of relief when you stop thinking about the problem, but it’s the sort of relief you get when you stop hitting yourself over the head with a hammer; you could have just not done it in the first place! The best solution, and the thing which will allow the answer to come, is to stop trying to solve the problem and think about something else. Focus on success, watch happy people, read uplifting stories and hang out with the little gems (people who never have a bad word to say about anyone), make your life as ‘good-feeling’ as possible and let the aspects of the world which feel good come to you.

When you are feeling good, feeling happy, feeling excited and exuberant about life, you are in a happy place. And when you are tuned to "radio happy" you can receive the benefit in all areas of your life. You could have one area of you life which is working, and ten which are a total disaster zone, and by focussing on the success of the one which is working, you would benefit all of the others which currenty aren’t. Unfortunately, this is typically not what people do. They have ten things which are working really well, and in their desire to fix things and sort them out "once and for all", they end up focussing on the one thing which isn’t working and messing up all the other ten which were working.

So the next time someone comes up to you whingeing about something that isn’t going well in their life, try to distract them (even if that person is you). Change the subject. Don’t sympathise, make light of it instead. Tell them it’s going to be OK, it’s really not worth getting worked up about. Laugh at their perceived "issue". Show them that you choose to feel good regardless. Give them a nod and say "uh-huh" and make light of the whole thing. Get them tuned to the station of "My life is going extremely well, all things are coming to me in perfect timing as I am ready for them, and regardless of how it seems at any moment in time, things are always working out for me". That is a good radio station, and the good news is it is always eager for new listeners. Most of all, show them by the example of the wonderful life that you are living, and by the joyful smile across your face!

What makes your life unfold the way it does? Is it luck? Is it desire? Is it determinedly following your dreams until you get to where you want to be? I don’t think anyone would deny that unless you focus on getting somewhere, you’re not going to get there, but what about all of the little breadcrumbs along the way, all of the people that you meet, often it seems by chance, who take you to exactly where you want to go? Many do not see how the world is helping them out, and miss a great opportunity to recognise how life is conspiring to help them out. Those things that come along at precicesly the right moment, or fit in perfectly at precisely the right point in the proceedings, as if it were always there waiting in the wings.

I would like to propose that you get what you ask for in life and you ask for things with your thoughts. Practiced thought on a subject is eventually turned into what we call a belief. You are living what you believe on every subject, as the world will respond to your beliefs. That is in fact what life is; feedback in manifestational form of how you are thinking (and therefore believing) about the world. The word ‘belief’ sounds significant but as a belief is just a thought that you keep thinking, and you have the power to direct your thoughts in the direction that you want, you can change your beliefs by changing your thoughts. As your thinking starts to change, the world will start to reflect back to you your changing beliefs on the many subjects in your life. Of course we are each a veritable melting pot of beliefs on the many important subjects in our lives, and to go back to the beginning of “all that” would be a sisyphean task. I’d like to propose a better (and easier) system; it’s called appreciation.

Appreciation is a mindset. A mindset of the happy and successful people, and practiced appreciation will ensure that you live a wonderful life. Appreciation sends out a message to the world which effectively says; “I love this and this and this, and I’m having such a wonderful life.”
And how’s that for a mantra, for a belief? Pretty good, I’d say. The world will continue to dish up things which match that belief. Here’s some more examples of word equivalent statements which lie behind appreciation:
- No matter how it may ever seem in the moment, things are always, have always and will always work out for me.
- The world is wonderful and responds to me in a perfect way. I’m so ‘lucky’ to be where I am, in charge of my own life.
- I am surrounded by friends, family and work colleagues who have so many wonderful characteristics, and I appreciate their being here with me. Were having such fun, and we bring the best out of each other as we focus on each others good points.
- I appreciate my lover (or the many potential lovers of mine out there in the world), and I am looking forward to our relationship unfolding, causing satisfaction and evolution for both of us. It feels wonderful to have an object of attention in my life who I can appreciate, because appreciating feels like the most natural thing to me.
- I am doing really well in life, I’m clever and sharp minded, and I know how to focus my mind to feel good. When I feel good, the world is bringing to me more things that feel good, and that is good to know. The better it gets the better it gets.
- Everything that I have asked for in the process of living my life is coming to me. I believe that when I ask it is given, and as I just relax and chill out, and appreciate the many wonderful things in my life, I’ll enjoy watching my magnificent life unfolding before me.

Everything in life has ups and downs, is made of good and bad. Focus on what you want to appreciate in your life. Make it your dominant belief by finding things to appreciate in every moment, and live happily ever after.

What’s the Rush? When you consider that:

1. You are going to live forever in some form

2. You are always going to want more than you currently have

In fact when you take the two sentences above together they make perfect sense. ‘More’ has to be the mantra of an eternal being, because if there isn’t more; more expansion, more life, more discovery, more ideas, then there is completion, and that cannot be, for an eternal being lives forever.

Thoughts of shortage of time are so counter to your true knowing of what’s going on that they grate significantly. Similarly feelings of ‘getting it wrong’ feel equally bad as they run counter to what you really know. You need to really make peace with the notion that life goes on and on, before you can really get on with enjoying it.

Attract as many books, people and opinions to yourself as you can that back up this fact, and read them until you believe it. Listen to the resonance of the truth inside you and consider that nothing else really makes sense. If you look for the evidence I guarantee you will find it, and find great resonance with the knowing of it. You are eternal life, consciousness, spirit, whatever you want to call it. Know that you are a part of the stream of consciousness that not only thought the physical being that you currently call ‘you’ into existence, but that you are also part of the consciousness that created the planet that you are standing on, and the various creatures that have walked upon it.

You are a creator, and the subject of your creation is your continued life on planet earth. You could say the subject of your creation is you. Granted, the primary foundation blocks have been laid down before; the atmosphere, soil, flora and fauna, and animals to eat, fresh water, seeds to grow crops. Raw materials which we have discovered which assist us in our physical creations on the planet.

But the earth is still in a state of evolution there are more elements yet to discover, and the primitive age of oil (where we extracted refined and burned the fossilised remains of previous generations in order to provide motive power for transportation and electricity generation, as well as heat for cooking and living) is nigh and a new clean green and ultimately free energy technology is being requested by the people of planet earth and so they shall have what they are asking for.

You were around at the time of the dinosaurs (albeit not as a human), and in Roman times and the middle ages, and the Victorian Age. Yes, you are much older than you know.

We are much more now than ever before in a sense of fine tuning, and the stability of this planet is a perfect platform for creating more. Life is consciousness, and it flows to to the object of your focus. It can be focussed in a human body, but the body is just the vessel. Your spirit, the life force in you, the true ‘you’ comes from the source of life, from what you might call God. Now and forever. So anyway, seeing as you are God, what’s the rush?

When you feel angst at not yet having achieved the latest thing on your list of things that you want, stop for a moment and look back to a time before you had what you currently have. Do you remember when you were 12? Did you think that you would be living where you currently are, working where you are, did you think that you would have the specific interests and expertise in the subjects that you currently hold? Of course, not. As we move through life we ask for more things and then we become them. We are in a constant state of becoming. This process continues throughout your life until you no longer have any more new desires, and then your consciousness leaves your body and re-emerges into a fresh young baby with a new perspective and a fresh eagerness for life, and from this new perspective you have another crack at it. An eternal being seeks more and more and more. Your kids know it, look at them. Even before they’ve got it out of the box, they want something more. They have an eagerness or life, for expansion, and an innate realisation that it isn’t really about the manifestation anyway, but the new idea. Isn’t the dream always better than the reality?

You will always want more; more knowledge, more power over your own life, more love to give to others, more wonderful people to interact with, more new ideas, more fun, more exsquisite sensual experiences. So what’s the rush? Enjoy where you are, you’ll never be complete, and as you move towards the horizon, you’ll see that it keeps on moving too. Why is this even important? Well, It’s about the feeling of one state versus another. The relaxed feeling of ‘all is well’ has very little resistance, and you’re allowing all the things that you want into your life. Conversely the feeling of ‘I’m running out of time’ or ‘I’ve made a terrible mistake, and I’ll never get the chance again’ feel terrible, the indication that these thoughts are full of resistance and are not allowing the stuff you want to come to you. Chill out! It’s all about feeling good anyway.

Spend no time pondering things which don’t feel good to you. Regret nothing from your past (this is one reason we have no memory of our previous experiences, can you imagine the wasted ‘now’ if we had the opportunity to consider past lives?). Concentrate of directing your thoughts in the direction of things that feel good to you and chill out. You’ll never get to the end so it’s time to start enjoying the journey. Make your life about Appreciation and all of the things that are meaningful to you will appreciate; love, money, success, fun, joy.

It’s difficult to forget the hype that surrounded the hugely successful political campaign and exhilarating inauguration of the 44th president of the United States of America. Barack Obama surely packed some real punches, and delivered his message eloquently and with integrity.

Ultimately it was his integrity that won him the job. At last it seemed the world was faced with a politician whose words and beliefs seemed to match. How rare, and refreshing. The world could sense the potential of it. The steamroller of a campaign was almost a forgone conclusion, was backed by a load of cool celebs and a cool theme tune, and was a seriously hard act to follow once the flags stopped waving and the confetti swept away. So where do we stand two years down the line? Has the first African American president of the USA delivered on his promises? Or is it just another bunch of empty rhetoric that we’ve come to expect from politicians?

Well, to be fair to Obama, he’s come in at about the worst time possible. It’s easy to thrive when the economy is booming and take the credit. It’s also easy to bomb when the economy is in the doldrums and take the rap. After years and years of very good or not too shabby economic growth, the world of banking and finance having got carried away in a lending frenzy has tightened the purse strings; and as this money has stopped flowing from the banks, economic growth has suffered. Mr Obama is only one man. When he was a senator, he had quite a few people who wanted a piece of him. Can you imagine how that changed once he became the President of the United States, and ostensibly the most powerful man in the world? Pretty hard to keep your balance, I’d imagine, if you’re taking all those opinions into consideration. How to make a decision? Flip a coin? Spin the bottle? Seems easy when you’re the only one to consider, but how do you make a decision that will benefit everyone who voted for you?

Of course, it’s a nonsense, and that answer is, you can’t. There is no way that you can take everyone into consideration, and it’s not even Obama’s job to do that. Obama realised soon after taking the job that he had to focus on his job which is doing what he needs to do to fulfill his role, while leaving everyone else to do the same. Obama understands that he cannot help people unless they help themselves. He realises that he is just one man, and that he can only do his best. Ultimately, for the whole world to look at him to solve their problems is not helpful. If you think that a politician, even a self empowered visionary of the stature of Mr Obama, can save you from an economic mess, you’re going to be disappointed my friend.

It’s really a sign of our times that people think along these lines; the law suits (real or imagined) which cripple business into non-action, everyone looking outside of themselves for a scapegoat. We cannot seem to take any responsibility for our lives, rather wanting to point the finger of blame at someone else who is ‘responsible’ for our failings. I know, it’s annoying, and your life should be going better, and that little temper tantrum you’re having is really because you know this, but don’t point the finger of blame, take your power back.

In reality we are each responsible for ourselves. Barack is responsible for himself. I am responsible for myself, and you are responsible for yourself. Sure, Obama can help to bring about the political and social change which we are all asking for, but he needs willing participants to allow him to do his thing, that means a blessing and getting out of the way.

Politicians are high-level thinkers, yet they often lose their power to envision the better life that they want for society, as they get bogged down in the mucky details of life. Let’s give Obama and all the other politicians a break from their Sisyphean task, appreciate them for what they are doing for their countries, and bless them to do the best they can. No man (or woman) is an island.

We may one day be able to live in a society where we do not need politicians, but that time is clearly not now. I get how life works; I get to choose all of it, I accept that my life is a reflection of my balance of thoughts about the various subject about it. By taking responsibility for everything that happens to me, I am self empowered and whole, whether I want what comes to me or not, at least I know that I’m in charge of it. Most of the world does not share this view, looking to others outside of them to guide them, and so we shall have the politics of life for the time being.

Yet as more and more people wake up, politics is becoming less and less about rules and regulations, and more about organisation of public services, which is what it was meant for in the first place. And Mr Obama will have a much easier task as the load on his back is lightened and he can focus all of his attention on doing his job, while leaving you to do yours.

If you study metaphysics long enough, eventually a major breakthrough occurs. You will experience a revelation, see the world as it really is, and re-evaluate your relationship to life and all with whom you share it.

You start to come to the realisation that the world is not a random place where things just happen, and that there is no such thing as luck. Instead you see a perfectly orchestrated dance of energies, managed by Law of Attraction. Of course, acknowledgement of this great and powerful premise doesn’t guarantee overnight success; you’ve come to your beliefs on life gradually and over many years, and it’s unlikely that you’ll change them overnight, even with considerable determination. Quantum leaps are rare and usually uncomfortable. You’ve got plenty of work still to do, not physical work, but mental work.

Whereas once upon a time you scoured the media and eagerly listened in on the conversations of others fearing you might miss something important, now you look at the outside world without fear for what is going on. You now understand that unless you make an issue of something, it will remain a non-issue in your life. By ‘turning the other cheek’ you exclude that unwanted thing from your experience and by giving your attention to something else, you ask for that instead. You understand that there is no way to exclude anything you don’t want from your life. You understand, you know that whatever you’re giving your attention to, you are asking for in your life. You know that you alone are in charge of your life, and so you start to give your attention to things that you prefer, and stop giving your attention to, or even worse pushing against, those things that you don’t like, as you realise that it only brings them closer to you.

You start pondering what this newly resurrected power and responsibility means for your life, and where the boundaries are, you start to realise that there are no boundaries but your own limiting beliefs, and you set about changing them. You set about drawing up a new set of life conditions. It’s like someone’s wiped your slate clean, and asked you what you really want.

You see that society has largely got the cart before the horse. The manifested world is morphing to match the practiced thoughts (or beliefs) of the individual. As the majority are observers, if they are born into favourable conditions that these typically prevail, and if they are born into unfavourable circumstances that these conditions typically prevail. You start to see that you cannot try hard enough to change the conditions of your life by trying to control physical things, because it is all coming to you in response to how you feel. When you try to affect the physical conditions you are trying to do the impossible. You realise pushing against what you don’t want just gives you more of the same.

You realise how futile war really is; how pushing against terrorists or waging a war on terror only sends energy to the very thing you are trying to defeat, making things worse. You realise that there are people starving in the world, and until they can find a feeling place of something better, nothing can really change for them. You realise that there are people suffering terrible abuse, and as long as they hold that in their minds, they will continue to experience it. You realise that there is no injustice in life, only sloppy thinking. Life is fair becasue it gives everyone what they are thinking about. And while they may be able to tie you up and force you in many physical ways, you still have control of your mind, and so you are empowered regardless of conditions. If you were incarcerated, but you could conjure the feeling of freedom, you would get out of jail.

You realise that while you want to scream what you know from the rooftops, that many couldn’t hear you even if they wanted to, and those that can hear you will ask when they are ready. You realise that all you need to do is know what you know, hold your vision of the future and create a world around that vision. You see from your own experience and from the experiences of those close to you, that the world responds to how you feel, and you start to think about phrases such as ‘find the feeling’, and what they mean to you and your life.

You imagine that you can create anything that you can conceive, as long as you can find what that thing feels like. You realise that unless you do find the feeling of that situation, you can not get there. It doesn’t matter how hard you work, if you still feel poor or unloved or sick or fat, you will remain so.

The world responds to how you feel

You start to think more creatively, given the fact that life is your oyster, and anything that you can find the feeling of, you can experience fully. Anything. You start to revive those childhood desires that you once held but were talked out of by those adults who had long since been talked out of their own dreams.

You start to think about what really matters to you in life. You ponder and imagine that delicious relationship with that wonderful person, that beautiful person who knows you and gets you, and is appealing to you in all of the ways that are important to you, and who really adores you. Not just someone left over, someone really special, just for you. You imagine how much fun you’re going to have together, you feel the sense of infinite possibility stretched out before you into the future, you feel a sense of childlike love, it feels like pure desire. This person has more of the things that you want in a mate because you created them and decided who they are. You imagine how delightful it’s going to be to interact with this person in various situations. You love their temperament, you love the way they see the world, and you love that you find them so refreshing to be with. You love the way you feel when you’re around this person, you love feeling proud, whole, valued and adored, you love just to have someone close to you who you can appreciate, because you love to love and you love to appreciate. You love the abundance of the universe, and you know that if not this person, the universe had 20,000 more lined up and ready, ready for you to find the feeling place. You love how natural it all feels in the unfolding, there is no effort, it just feels natural and easy, like the next logical step. There’s no trepidation, there’s no need to force the issue, there’s no hesitation, it just flows easily. You see this and you know that there in nought but mental work to do. The physical effort is but a small part of the equation.

You start to take time each day, twenty minutes or more, to really put your mind to work to find the feeling of what you want. You realise that in this day and age with the amount of information out there ready to distract you; so much out there vying for your attention, that this will take some considerable focus and discipline to achieve. You realise that it’s easier to watch the television than to conjure an image in your imagination, but that your mental work will yield you huge gains. You are prepared to really test it for yourself. There’s no need to have faith when you have proved it to yourself and you now know that it works. So you make a decision to really implement this. The time is now, and you are ready to allow what you want into your life. In the beginning, you keep things simple and easy, you tackle one subject at a time (and preferably not the biggest issue first, because you’ve developed some pretty serious beliefs about that) and you will stick with it until you see results before moving onto your next subject.

You start spending more time in the realms of fantasy, just because you love the feeling of it; it feels natural and it feels like the right thing to be doing. Your imagination feels larger than life and you start to realise that this is where it’s at. You know that as you feel good, you’re on the right track, and as you feel bad, for whatever reason, that you’re moving in the opposite direction to what you want. You stop trying to act your way to your solutions, instead you find the feeling place completely and allow the universe to bring you the things that you have asked for. You start to enjoy your mind for the pleasure that it brings you, and you see that you couldn’t possibly live everything that you imagine in real life, but that you can imagine the deliciousness of kissing that beautiful girl that you saw on the underground, or living in that wonderful house in a foreign land, just for the pure pleasure of the thought. You start to see that it was all about the feeling anyway, that everything that you wanted or want is because you think it will enhance how you feel, and by getting to the goal, you cut out all of the intermediate steps and head straight to the end game; peace of mind.

You think about your mother and how she meant well when she yielded to your desires when you pleaded and begged her for what you wanted, but you realise that she did you a disservice by implying that if you have a tantrum you will get what you want, as the universe does not yield to the needy or the pleading. The universe yields to those who have practiced the feeling state of something. You are ready to make it work for you, to feel your personal power, and do what you came here to do.

For hundreds of millions of years the planet has provided for its inhabitants; food, shelter, nutrients, clean air and water, and all of the tools for us to create anything we have identified that we want. We have never run out of any resource that we have identified that we desire, although many materials do fall out of favour and are replaced or improved upon. So it has never been a lack of resources that has held man back, but only that he had not yet asked for more.

Man differs from beast in his capacity to think freely or creatively. Man may direct his thoughts towards whatever he desires (whether wanted or unwanted). The beast conversely tends to accept that life is good, but is far less specific in his desire. This plain difference in intention of man and beast outlines the relationship bewteen physical and non-physical. The former is highly focussed and therefore holds more risk, whereas the latter is more general and less risky.

As man has socialised and civilised, he has tended to move into large conurbations, and moved away from the countryside and his connection with nature and the planet. In this loss of understanding of where things come from, he has grown increasingly distrustful of Mother Earth. The press in their desire to sell newspapers have painted a picture of destruction, woe and extinction, where in reality the planet is flourishing like never before. Of course, life is about perspective, and if you are convinced of the destruction and decadence of life, you will see evidence that matches your belief wherever you go. The reality only becomes clear when we move from the more focussed human viewpoint and we step back far enough to the non-physical viewpoint and see that the planet is in good hands, and always will be.

As man has civilized, vast information flow has brought about a global economy, despite this broadening of view, we are still presented with a tiny tranche of life as narrow and as negative as ever. It’s funny that we could be so far wrong with our beliefs. You see, we are all far older than we know. We are a part of this source energy; this consciousness which is physical life. We were here at the time of the dinosaurs (albeit not in human form). We were integral in the creation of the planet (the big bang if you will). We were part of the creation of the planet, and we still are as we stand here creating yet more. The creation we are interested in now is more fine tuning, rather than creating atmospheric conditions, gas levels and temperature ranges that we and the dinosaurs did in the past. When you take the time to go into nature, far from the chattering minds of man and ask the question, ‘How do I fit into all of this? You will feel the truth in your heart; we are all part of the creation of the planet. This is the reason we inherently love the planet so much, and feel drawn to nature, to beauty and to the wonder of life so easily. When I feel ill, only two types of TV programme work for me; Nature programs narrated by Sir David Attenborough, and comedy. The two basic tenets of life, nature and comedy.

As consciousness focussed into a physical human body, you are not creating on a planetary level. You are creating in life, utilising the power of thought to manifest on the physical plane. The planets, the solar system and the orchestration of the orbits of moons and the sun, the weather systems, the temperature of the planet, even the balance of population of man and beast on the planet. All these have been and are being orchestrated by powers greater than man (I hope that you all agree that you were not responsible for making the sun rise this morning). As you acknowledge this, and you look for the evidence of the well being of life, and how stable this planet is compared to say your dream state reality, you will start to feel your place here on the planet. You will start to allow the greater subjects like climate change, and atmospheric changes be what they are; natural fluctuations in the energy levels of the planet as it does its thing.

Planet earth like any other living consciousnless constantly seeks to find its balance. This is a good thing. Volcanic eruptions, climate change and weather systems are just the earth finding its balance. Luckily for us, the planet knows what to do, and will continue to do its thing. Just look at human beings trying to sort out global warming, no wonder they’re in such a state. Such things are bigger than man or any of his actions, and any attempt to control will lead to confusion and frustration.

As man has questioned his place in All That Is, he has often fled the city and its bustling urban crowd and sought the clarity and peace only to be found in nature. Everything is consciousness, and all consciousness is vibration. As it vibrates, it affects its surroundings. Some things have fast high pure vibrations, and some have lower vibrations. Man’s thoughts, often are lower vibrations. These are available in abundance in cities, and are readily tuned in to by sensitive minds. When you tune into a thought vibration, you get not only one thought, but by Law of Attraction, you get the collected thoughts that are like it too; sometimes you get more than you bargained for, good or bad.

Have you ever been in a place and not liked how it felt? Like a house that you thought was haunted, where it felt like something bad had happened there before? This is typically thought forms of previous thinkers, of previous inhabitants. By inhabiting a space yourself and thinking happy thoughts of a high vibration, you can literally raise the vibration of a space, and literally blitz it with your energy field. You know that you like to be with people who are on the same vibrational level as you; people who understand you on a level deeper than just language. It feels natural to be with them; there’s a flow. Hardly any explanation is necessary, they just get what you mean and who you are. It feels comfortable, it feels right, it feels good. The consciousness in all of nature, in the rock, in the water, in the tree, and in the the animals, has non-resistant vibration and it feels good to you because at your very core you are high pure fast vibration. You are love. Nature gets you, and it feels good.

Nature and especially the wilderness is typically free of thought transmission of worrisome humans, and the animals and the plants that are there have high pure positive energy vibration. When you go there, you can feel the soothing nature of Nature. Just the very action of observing nature, of listening and smelling and tasting, is enough to connect man to his source and remind him on a visceral level, above normal consciousness, where he fits in. You can’t explain it, you just feel a very real part of creation and life on planet earth. It just feels good.

It feels good to the beasts too. They are very sensitive to vibration, and are unwilling to put up with anything that feels ‘off’ to them, and that includes worrisome human beings and their thoughts. We may consider that many of the animals with which we share our planet are disappearing; they are not, they are merely moving away from our worrisome thoughts about them, which do not feel good to them. As you grow your consciousness and raise your vibration to higher and higher places; as you make feeling good your number one priority, you will identify with the beasts in this respect. You will feel a strong impulse to move towards things that feel good, and away form things that feel bad to you. You will become more beast like, more instinctual.

Interestingly, when a natural disaster strikes, like an earthquake or a volcano or a hurricane or a tsunami, beasts will tend to sense the impending strike, and if free to move, will move away from the danger to an area that feels better to them. Human beings who exist in a place of joy would also feel the urge to move away from the area of danger, as staying in that place is not in harmony with their intentions for a long happy healthy life. Many humans who have become accustomed to feeling bad would either not tell the difference from how they felt on a normal day, or would do their duty and go to work rather than following their inner guidance. Regrettably they would be consumed by the disaster.

Recently in Chile, 33 miners were trapped in a mine when it collapsed behind them trapping them for nearly 70 days. Three hours before the cave in, which buried the men underground, all 33 men begged to be allowed to leave the mine. They heard creaking noises from the mine, and felt that the mine was unsafe and that something bad was going to happen. Their managers insisted that they continue working. The miners knew what was coming, but they over-rode their gut feeling as fear of being reprimanded was more important.

If you state your intentions clearly, life will always give you a warning. Whether you choose to listen, or are in a place to hear the warning is really down to you.

Everyone loves the feeling of being in love. But what does it mean to be ‘in love’? Is it about you loving someone else, or about someone else loving you? Is it being adored by millions? Gaining the adoration of a crowd of 100,000 adoring fans, or countless millions who flow love to you when they read your magnificent bestselling book.

From the moment we come down to live life on planet earth, we are living a tension caused by the contrast of life. We are pulled away from the knowing that all really is well, and we seek to know that we really are good, and to know our value. We want to feel loved and adored, but where do we go looking for that love? Usually it is from the other people in our lives, our parents and siblings, and often they do not have it to give to us.

Many of us, when we were younger, we were trained by those who surrounded us to look to them for love. It was scary to come from a realm of pure positive energy into a slightly edgy world of worry and contrast. Much like waking up in the morning after a wonderful refreshing sleep, there was an excitement about what was to come, the new unexplored world, but the prospect of life was also far more daunting than the place of well being we’d been whilst sleeping.

So as children, we sought to feel better, and looked to the adoring eyes of our parents for reassurance that everything truly was OK. If our parents themselves were living unconditional love, and felt secure in themselves, they usually left us alone, let us learn ourselves, and guide our own lives through our thoughts and feelings. In short, we were allowed to follow our dreams, and they were happy to follow theirs. If on the other hand our parents lived conditional love, feeling the need to attempt to control conditions to feel better, in their lack of ability to focus on the good in life, they smothered those around them from expressing who they were, and trained them to behave in a way that would suit the parents, not the children.

It is true to say that your life is an outward manifestation of your inner space. If you feel happy and loving, you radiate it to the world and meet similar people. If you feel angry and irritated, you radiate it to the world, and also attract similar people and circumstances. If someone criticizes you, they are highly critical of themselves, and you are seeing that spilling over to the world at large.

When we are young we love easily. It is in our nature to see the best in things, to see the beauty, fascination and wonder in the world around us, and to be in a state of joy merely because we are here on planet earth. And think about that. What do these babies have to be happy about? They cannot walk, they can’t speak, they have no conscious bowel control, yet even so they are joyful little beings. They don’t (at least in their early days) seek to have stuff, they just ‘be’ little packages of joy. What basis do they come from to know that all is well? Some would say that it’s not what they know, but what they don’t know. They say that it’s because they haven’t yet been warned of all of the dangers of the world, and in their ignorance they feel bliss.

Actually these babies know exactly what they are coming into, and the fresh perspective afforded by a new life experience is most exhilarating to them. To know who you are, first you must forget who you are. To live a new individual experience, a new incarnation, first you must be allowed to wipe the slate clean and have no memory of any of your past experiences. This is what is so exciting. And why the older you get, the grumpier you get. It’s like you know too much about what can go wrong. Try telling the little ones, they don’t want to know and you can see it on their faces when you ‘warn’ them about things.

We expect things to go well for us, it is a basic tenet of life. When they don’t we take it personally, as we should. We see this easily in the little people. Often labelled as demanding by their caretakers who have long forgotten or given up on their own dreams, they feel the child’s desire is inappropriate (as they themselves were taught and ended up living) and so train the child into an expectation of a meagre life. This is not helpful, and leads to more struggle than is necessary. Life is here to give you what you want, but you have to be in a place where you expect it to come. Train this expectation out of your children, and you are shooting them in the foot. Instead let them know that life is supposed to be good for them, that it is going well for them, and that they are good, no matter what.

We see in children a very clear understanding of the law of attraction. Before their parents teach them otherwise, they seek to focus in a way that makes them feel good. They are very closely aligned with love, with their source energy, and they feel the separation from that source more powerfully than adults. Call it a temper tantrum if you will, but they know what they want and they are not afraid to express it. When was last time you saw a depressed toddler? If you say something to them that causes them to focus apart from their loving source, they feel it strongly. And this is where it starts to go awry. As long as you hold yourself and others in the same regard as your source ( which is pure love) does, then you will feel wonderful. Unfortunately, the well meaning adults who weren’t understanding unconditional love, needed you to change in order for them to feel good. This was unfortunate as you were no longer following your inner guidance, but trying instead to use those outside of you to guide your life. This obviously in no successful strategy for living life. You must follow your dreams if you are to be happy. If they tell you you cannot, do what you need to do to follow your dreams. Run away, far away from those who tell you otherwise. They are well meaning, but they don’t know what’s good for you or why you came to live your life. You are the only one who knows that.

Some parents look to their children for love, ie they see the children and feel good, so decide that it is the child’s responsibility to adapt its behaviour to make the parent feel good. This conditional love is the cause behind all of the world problems, bar none. We all start out as pure positive energy beings, and if we were allowed to follow our own inner guidance, would life joyful lives. When we are told that following what others say is more important that following our own hearts, we get separated from our source and our expansion and we don’t feel quite so joyful, we then lash out in powerlessness and seek to find our balance, not realising that it is our core that is unstable, and that the strategy of conditional love (attempting to modify how we feel by controlling conditions) that we were taught by our parents, doesn’t work.

You see, inside every human being is a source of pure love, that is who we are. When we act or think or speak in a loving way we feel the resonance of our source or soul (that is why being in love feels so good). When we come across others who focus on us in a way that causes us to focus upon ourselves with love, it feels wonderful. Often we see the other person as the cause for the feeling, when in fact they are merely a catalyst. It is the act of focussing in a loving way which brings about the resonance with your core values, the other person could be any object of attention (granted you might not love the toaster so easily, but with practice you could get close to the same feelings of appreciation for many things in life). Why limit the wonderful feeling of appreciation, of love to people. Be who you really are to your core, be a lover, love everything, appreciate the good wherever you go, because your source is love. Do it because it feels good, do it because not doing it is a travesty of who you really are, do it because once you have managed to connect to love deliberately, nothing less than that will ever do again.

The happy news is that it is not what anyone else does that affects how you feel, it is the duo of you and the source within you, that counts. You have all of the love that you need right inside you. find that harmony first, and then pour it out to the world, to your friends, families and your lovers. You are love. Be who you are.

If you asked most people the above question, they would probably say no. The majority of people, it’s fair to say, look at the world around them and feel good or bad depending on what they see. If they see things they like they feel good. If they see things they don’t like, they feel bad. This is unfortunate for the following reasons:

1. The world responds to how you feel, so if you feel bad, then the world will match you up with more things that match the way you feel i.e. things which will make you feel bad.

2. The conditions are not controllable

Now, if you only had the ability to observe, this would be a bit of a problem; If you could only affect how you feel by observing things which make you feel good, then you would need to control the conditions around you to control the way you feel, and as we’ve already seen these conditions are not controllable. Fortunately, as a human being you have the ability to imagine things different than they are. And that little difference means you have the ability to create situations however you want them to be.

The main source of trouble in our world is people who believe that they need to control the conditions that they are observing in order to feel good. They see the world and they don’t like what they see, so they drop bombs on people they fear might assert themselves into their experience. They want to see things which make them feel good when they see them, so they try to effect control on the conditions, but this never works because the conditions are uncontrollable. Also, by giving their attention to something, they are actually asking for more of the same, they are drawing the thing they don’t want even closer. Law of attraction matches up like with like; as you tune into a subject, whatever it may be, you are inviting that subject into your life. If you feel predominantly good, then bad feeling things cannot happen to you, because you are not a match to bad feeling things.

What most people do not understand or perhaps haven’t yet realised is that they can feel good regardless of the conditions. This is called unconditional love (feeling love or good regardless of the conditions) and is the message that lies at the basis of all religions. If life responds to how you feel, then there really is nothing more important than feeling good, regardless of what is happening around you. It doesn’t matter what the situation is, you can work it around in your mind to a place where you feel better about it, and see the positive side of the equation. So you got a parking ticket? No big deal. Make light of it. Feel good now. Is it really worth all that angst? Hardly. Those people you work with are nasty and bullying you? Well, you’ve got some work to do haven’t you? You have attracted these ‘bullies’ into your life. You need to see them as something different and feel better about the situation or nothing will change. If you didn’t feel victimised in the first place, they wouldn’t behave the way they do. If you try to take action to change the way you feel (by changing the conditions) without changing your underlying feeling of being a victim, then another bully will spring up in the next place you go. Nothing will change until you change the way you feel by focussing in a different way.

So governments make laws to try and control conditions, and fail miserably. People argue about what is the right or wrong way of living life, and come to no firm conclusions, because there is no right or wrong way, just the natural variety and contrast inherent in an expanding universe. People will at some point come to the conclusion that you cannot control anything in the world, nor need you control anything other than the way that you feel. Because the way you feel determines everything that comes to you in life. If you don’t give your attention to the things that you don’t want, you won’t experience them in your life. Your perspective of the world is the only important thing. Set your radio tuner to the parts of the world that you want to see, and then let those aspects of the world come to you. If you give your attention to it, you’re asking for it. There is not assertion of anything unwanted into your life by anybody or anything outside of you. You ask for all of it with your thoughts and your attention to the subject.

Now, here’s the bit that makes it all fit together nicely, and I’m not going to dress this up at all, so here goes. The physical human being that you know as “you” is actually consciousness focussed into a physical human body. Your “source energy you” which some might call God or Soul or Source Energy or Inner Being, that part of you projected the physical you into existence by focussed thought. That source part of you exists safe and warm in the non-physical realm of pure positive energy (call it heaven if you will). Physical "you” is an explorer, a trailblazer, the man on the moon, here to live a life of contrast and to ask for things to be different. When you ask, source answers your requests and the universe expands into a newer better place (yes you are responsible for the expansion of the universe!). Source energy now focuses its attention purely on that vision (because source energy, infinite intelligence, understands the power of law of attraction). Now, when you focus in a way other than your source energy does, you feel a separation of the two parts of you. What this means is that if you constantly feel good, then you know that you are keeping up with the things that you’ve asked for which source is focussing upon, upon the expansion that life has caused you to ask for. If you feel worthy, if you feel proud of yourself, If you feel rich, beautiful, appreciated, if you feel that those around you are wonderful good people, you can be sure that your source energy agrees with you because those thoughts feel good, and you can feel the agreement by the resonance inside you.

Now, if you choose to see things other than the source within you sees them, then you will feel the separation of the two parts of you as your vibration dips from the fast pure positive energy of your source, and this feels bad to you. If you feel like you’ve done something wrong and you feel bad, if you judge yourself harshly, the reason you feel bad if not because you are bad, but because your inner being loves you unconditionally, and at that moment you are not loving yourself. As your negative thoughts cause your vibration to take a dip into lower slower thoughts, you feel the dissonance between you and the source part of you. There is nothing that you could do which would cause your source energy to withdraw its love for you, but you must also love yourself unconditionally or you will feel negative emotion as you are separated from the vibration of your source energy. As law of attraction responds to your vibration, it is prudent to have a guidance system to keep you on track in life, and therefore moving towards what you have asked for, and what your source is focussing upon on your behalf – and this is what your emotions are for. Your emotions are a feedback mechanism, using your inner being as the benchmark (which holds the vision of the culmination of all of the best bits of life that you have asked for). Feel good, attract good things to you. Feel bad? Work it around into a way that you feel good and get back on track. It is worth pointing out here that the source part of you is the far greater part of the total you, has lived many thousands of life experiences and holds the culmination of all of those experiences and focusses upon them. So a few negative thoughts is not going to get you struck down, as the well being that flows to you by your source is huge. If you feel bad just relax and let go of whatever is bothering you.

Stop trying to change conditions which are unchangeable, and stop explaining or justifying where you are. Make a decision to feel good, make a decision to give your attention to things which feel good, and disregard things which don’t feel good to you. Most of all, resonate in harmony with your true friend and companion in this life, your inner source energy or soul, who adores you no matter what, and who is always there to offer you unconditional love. Love yourself as much as your source loves you, and watch yourself shine. Get in tune with that feeling, and move forward joyously into your future expansion.

So, what’s your creative flair? Music, dance, poetry, art, literature, driving, humour? There are many ways to express the joy of life through physical form. Children do it easily, adults often do it reluctantly, if at all. It seems that the process of socialising them to fit in, to behave, robs them of much of their creativity of the mind. When children, we dreamed easily and often; as though we inherently understood the value and power of thought, only to be told to stop daydreaming and face reality. Unfortunately many youngsters were convinced that reality was where it was at. Unfortunately, this couldn’t be further from the truth

As we all now know, life is about vibration and about people tuning in to the frequencies that they want to live. You needn’t work hard with lots of effort to get what you want, you just need to practice the feeling of what you are trying to achieve and then the universe will respond to your thoughts and feelings (your vibration) by giving you a manifestation matching how you are feeling. "All well and good" you say; "as long as I can imagine things different to what I’m living or observing in my actual real life, or nothing will ever change!" True enough. But never fear. Here are some tips for visualisation which will help you to get closer to where you want to be:

1. Meditate. Daily for 20 minutes. Preferably in the morning after you wake up. Meditation is a wonderful and powerful tool which will yield enormous benefit and insight, especially in the beginning. It helps you to train your mind into stillness, allows your natural high fast frequency to come through. It is your resistant thoughts that hold you in lower slower bad feeling vibrations. When you let go of the resistance your cork naturally floats to the surface. Sit comfortably, make an intention to quiet your mind for 20 minutes, and focus on your breathing, hold a thought of a blank screen or a pause symbol or hold a note out loud or in your mind. As thoughts come to you, just let them go and focus on your breathing. When you manage to quiet your mind (and it might only be for the last minute of the 20) you will feel a detachment, a numbness of your body and the butterflies in your solar-plexus as confirmation of the love of your source energy shining through. Meditation will train you to focus your mind. Those who believe meditation doesn’t work haven’t tried it enough.

2. "Find the feeling" of what you want to achieve. This is best carried out after a period of meditation, after work (when your resistance is lower and you feel lighter and freer), after exercising, or when you feel good about life. Take a pad and write down the scenario that you want to live as if you are already living it. Writing will help you to get the ball rolling, and help you to build up momentum to focus on the feeling of whatever you want to live e.g "I adore my new relationship, my lover is so delicious, so pretty, and she laughs in the cutest way. She smells wonderful is so allowing of me and who I really am. When I hold her in my arms I feel validated., like I’ve come home" Describe it in words that really move you. Do this for a page or so, and when you can feel the vibration has grown strong enough, close your eyes and really get inside the feeling more, saying to yourself affirmations which make it feel even more real to you (you can do this out loud or in your head). Focus on the feeling for the pleasure of it, holding the thought purely for a little over a minute and you will have done powerful work. Repeat daily for as long as it is fun.

3. Start off with small things that you aren’t really resistant about. Taking the really tough ‘issues’ of your life and trying to work them around into a manifestation can be counter productive, as you have done more than enough asking to date. What is lacking is your belief that the universe does respond to your thoughts, and that you deserve to get whatever you want. So take three subjects every day (things you have as slight interest in) and spend time focussing on them and watch how the universe responds to your thought vibration by matching you up. When you believe that this stuff works, then you can move on to the more difficult subjects. So pick three subjects, write about them, ponder them for a while, and watch what happens. Don’t take my word for it, show yourself how the world responds to the power of your focussed thought.

4. Remember that it’s all about focus. Your mind is a tuning device, capable of tuning into thoughts of wonderment, or thoughts of despair. A small amount of time focussing on things which do not feel good will undoubtedly yield more and more thoughts which are the same (gathered together by law of attraction). Sometimes we find ourselves feeling far worse than we thought possible; Often a focussed thought seems to make us feel far worse than we imagined we would, or conversely far better than we thought we should. What is happening here is we are tuning into vibrational thought forms of massed consciousness. When many people have thoughts about, say, "My girlfriend is leaving me", all of those thoughts are attracted together by law of attraction and when you tune into the thought "My girlfriend is leaving me", you tune into the whole amassed thoughts of everyone who felt like that, which is a pretty powerful and negative thought from. The same goes for happy thoughts, there are many joyful thoughts out there which have amassed into thought forms of joy and wonder and excitement and delight, and these can be equally tapped into. It all depends where you focus your mind, and it depends how determined you are to see things the way you want them to be; how determined you are to feel good by focussing on where you’re going rather than where you currently are. Focus focus focus!!!

5. Get out there into the contrast and ask for more. You are here to decide what you want and to attract it to you by your focus. But how do you know what you want, if you haven’t lived any life (and how will your kids if you wrap them up in cotton wool?) Collecting information from which to create your life the way you want. it is part of the game called life on planet earth. As the saying goes, "When you ask, it is given". But it is also worth pointing out that you must ask for it to be given. If you live as a hermit in a cave, you’re going to have a pretty boring life as you’re not asking for anything, not expanding as a person, not wanting more. Get out there into the contrast of life and really mix it up and then keep yourself feeling good at the same time and you will have a roller-coaster ride through life. If you want things less exciting, stay at home and watch TV; your life will not yield nearly as much to you. It’s really up to you how much contrast and therefore how much expansion you expose yourself to.

6. Scripting. As in the "Find the Feeling" exercise above. Script your life the way you want it to be. Every day for 15 minutes, sit down and write about your life the way you want it to be. Writing is particularly powerful because it is easier to hold a pure thought when writing as it is harder to be distracted. Imagining what you want is harder as your thoughts will tend to wander. Writing causes a slowing of the mind, as the pen can only write so fast. Use nice paper and a pen which is pleasing to write with and enjoy the boundless limits of your imagination. If you do this regularly you will find yourself scripting more and more, purely for the fun of it. You have your very own holodeck at your disposal; it’s called your imagination and it is powerful. Scripting can bring about real change in your life. Do it daily for a minimum of 15-20 minutes for as long as its fun.

7. Appreciation. A powerful tool indeed. The source within you, your inner being, wonder child, god force etc. exists in a place of pure positive energy. Call it love, call it what you will. To resonate with your soul, utilise the tool of appreciation daily. Love and appreciation are a very close feeling match. Appreciation is particularly effective after meditation, sport, or after waking up. Write lists of the things that you appreciate about your life and the people in it. You will start to feel wonderful as you tune into who you really are, which is love. Write lists of positive points of the world around you. This will have you feeling wonderful, and you will get a real taste for it just because it feels so good. As you feel appreciation for the world, the world gives you more to appreciate as it matches your feeling with manifestations. The better it gets, the better it gets!

8. Don’t try too hard. Everything is working out just fine. You cannot make any mistakes in life, and you don’t have anything to prove to anyone. So be gentle with yourself about all of this. Make sure, as always, that it is fun. If it feels like you’re trying too hard, then you’re trying too hard. Go for a walk, or watch a funny movie or sit-com. Relax and accept the well-being of your life and how good things are for you. If you tune into the vibration of love on a regular basis, you will learn to live a life of delicious ease, and you will wonder how people put up with negative emotion. You will become a sensitive person, sensitive to your feelings and you will enjoy feeling the resonance of who you really are that you will find yourself gravitating to things that feel good, and avoiding things that don’t.

Have fun with this stuff, make a commitment to yourself to do it daily and see how powerful you really are. Most of all, don’t take my word for it, prove it to yourself.
