Telescope and Make You Go two new Cheryl Cole tracks, apparently Call My Name b-sides, have just surfaced. 

Telescope is a pretty piano ballad which is quite the departure from the impressive dancefloor filler that was Call My Name from the forthcoming album A Million Lights.

A world away from that is the pretty disastrous Make You Go which quite frankly sounds a mess. I smell Will.I.am all over thisone.. yuck!

This afternoon a new Lana Del Rey track called Never Let Me Go popped up online, and no it’s not a Florence & The Machine cover! It’s a beautiful simple ballad with gorgeous vocals and it’s really hitting the spot this afternoon.

Earlier this week my pal Jay at NuWavePony messaged me that I must check out his latest post, upon seeing it was a Grace Jones My Jamaican Guy remix I had yet to have the pleasure of listening to, I jumped right on it!

Marina And The Diamonds‘ Electra Heart is undoubtedly one of my favorite albums of the year to date, and as I’ve mentioned not only is the music phenomenal I’m also loving all the surrounding visuals and interviews.

Pals Blood Orange and Florence and the Machine are currently on tour together in the U.S. and have hinted at making music together. The first collaboration comes in the form of this rather wonderful remix of Flo’s Never Let Me Go which is in fact a total rework featuring Blood Orange on vocals.

Gossip  performed a cover of Elton John‘s Candle In The Wind at the opening ceremony for the Cannes Film Festival. I rather enjoyed it but the crowd remained rather muted, promoting Ditto to ask “Are you alive?” Love her!

They also appeared on Le Grand Journal a few nights ago while in Cannes and performed their new single A Perfect World. Watch for a rather funny moment where Sasha Baron Cohen pops up and Beth strolls over and dances with him, random but wonderful!

Hurricane serves as our introduction to New York City duo Ms Mr, and it’s a very good one indeed. Dark and moody electro pop with stunning vocals, this one checks all the boxes!

The video for the track has just premiered and it’s a real visual assault, a mish mash of images stitched together to aid the excellent tune. Our favorite moment? Clearly that’s at 1:12 when we get a glimpse of Madonna in Desperately Seeking Susan.

Donna Summer, the Queen of Disco as many aptly referred to her, passed away at the age of 63 after quietly suffering a battle with lung cancer. Donna defined the Disco era and consistently delivered quality music over the last 30+ years, releasing her last album Crayons in 2008. The word legend has never been so fitting as to describe an artist.

Donna leaves behind a distinct legacy, including a superb catalog of songs that inspired the sound of the 70′s and countless artists over the years. Some of our favorites are MacArthur Park, I Feel Love, On The Radio, Love Is In Control, I Got Your Love and This Time I Know It’s For Real.

Donna was working on an album of new material at the time of her death, and we’re saddened that was unable to complete it. We’ll remember her fondly through her music.
