While visiting at Mt. St. Helen’s, I happened across this sign at a large slope. I really don’t think the sign was necessary. Anyone standing at the edge of the crevice is going to understand that falling would suck in a really bad way.

No, it’s not the prison, it’s the Bavarian town hidden in the mountains of Washington. A very hot day but it was very fun. There’s so much to do there, one day doesn’t do it justice. If you got the time, make a weekend or a week of it.

Mt. St. Helens – 30 years later

I’m not sure if anyone remembers the epic May 18, 1980 eruption of Mt. St. Helens, but I remember it. I know Meesh does, very well. 30 years later, it’s really green and fertile. Definitely a great visit.

Puppies

These are the parent’s new puppies. Well no longer, but they’re still relatively puppies. Cute.

Hiroshima Dome

This building has been kept the same since the bombing of Hiroshima in World War II. This are is just about the epicenter where the atomic bomb exploded, about 100 feet above. Imagine looking up when it impacted. It’s amazing really, just standing in front of it. It’s part of the entire Peace Park in Hiroshima. I’d recommend visiting it if you ever get around to going to southern Japan.

Not quite Mt Rainier

My sister just came to visit and we took a mini-trip to Mt. Rainier. It was pretty cloudy so we couldn’t see the mountain, but on the way to Paradise, I captured this one. Beautiful snow up there!

Hudson River clouds

While on the ferry to the Statue of Liberty, I saw these clouds and because my mind is always in the clouds I had to take a picture. Just something about the pattern that fascinated me.
