If you’d like to appear before the board, you’ll need to be on the agenda. In order to be fair to all homeowners, we ask that you put such a request in writing

• Watering allowed 1 day per week for all Austin Water customers
• Hand-watering allowed anytime
• No automatic-irrigation after 10 a.m. on designated watering day
• Vehicle washing on designated day before 10 a.m.
• No charity carwashes
• No automatic fill valves for pools or ponds
• No outdoor fountains except to provide aeration for aquatic life  
• No water to be served at restaurants unless requested
• No washing of sidewalks, driveways, parking areas or other paved areas

To report water waste, residents should call 3-1-1.

Pool is located at Harris Glenn Blvd and Jose Ridge Lane. and is open from May 1st – September 30th.

• The pool hours are 8:00 am – 10:00 pm. (closed Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning for cleaning)
• All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult

The feral hogs that have been spotted in the area are coming deeper into the neighborhoods and destroying yards.  There have been conflicting reports on sizes and number of hogs that have been spotted by residents. The hogs in this area are part of a much larger pack (50+) that were spotted near Samsung.    Due to budget constraints the City of Austin has reduced the feral hog program and have referred us to the Texas Park and Wildlife Department.

The Harris Glen, Harris Ridge and Harris Ridge Phase 4 Board Members are working together along with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD)  to get rid of them.  However, there is one requirement they have and that is NO civilian hunters and trappers be involved with their equipment since these agencies have tried and true methods in dealing with this wildlife.    The HOA’s will have a comprehensive plan involving the appropriate City and State Agencies, and no one has the authority to permit trapping or hunting of any kind within the confines of our subdivisions without written consent by the HOA BODs.   We want to have the professionals that have the funding and equipment ie night vision gear to handle this. 

  In the next week TPWD will be setting traps along the retention pond and wildland area behind Harris Ridge Phase 4 and possibly along the retention pond along Josh Ridge Lane.  Once a hog is caught TPWD will come and shoot the pig and the HOAs will be responsible for disposal.   

 Please stay away from this area in the coming weeks hogs can be very aggressive and attack especially if they are cornered, feel threatened or if they have piglets nearby.    We need help to pass along this information to everyone in the area.  

If you spot a hog or evidence of hogs please call 311 and also contact Greg Varady,  gregory_varady@yahoo.com    or Toni Diaz,  toni.diaz@sbcglobal.net  with your name, contact information,  time and day,  the number of hogs and a description and report number.      We need to keep track of this information to pass along to TWPD.
