Have you ever wondered how a bar code can help a child’s education? These bar codes from the Campbell soup can are used to purchase computers for the Murphy-Harpst Children’s Center.

In December 2011 we sent the center 1000 one point and 100 five point labels. We thank all who participated in this effort. Our goal for 2012 is to surpass that number.

You can turn in the bar codes any Sunday in the designated basket in the back of the sanctuary or the church office. If you don’t have time to cut out the bar codes, turn in the whole label and we’ll cut them out!

So think twice before you throw that can away. Cut off the label and recycle the can and you’ll be supporting 2 great causes.
