“I am the Potter, You are the Clay” is the topic for the Family Night Program. Lynne Burke will provide a pottery demonstration and share her insight on scripture. We are fortunate to have Lynne share her talents with us. As you may know, our communion set was created by Lynne and donated by the Chapman family.

Wesley Walk For Others

Eight weeks until the 28th Annual Wesley Walk for Others!

Plan to join 1,200-1,500 other United Methodists who walk around Stone Mountain or Concord Methodist Church in Elberton, raising pledges to support the ministries of Wesley Community Centers and “give feet to the faith of the church!” If you can’t walk the 6 miles, what about being a volunteer worker?

Support this outreach ministry by participating in the 28th Annual Wesley Walk for Others, either Sat., Oct. 16 in Elberton or Sat., Oct. 23 in Stone Mountain. Contact Charles Pace, Walk Coordinator, for more information, phone 706-436-2630.

You can fill out an intent form here and click submit. You can download a Registration form here, print,complete, and bring to the church office or you can bring it with you on the day of the walk.

O God, you know me inside and out, through and through.
Everything I do, every thought that flits through my mind, every step I take, every plan I make, every word I speak,
You know, even before these things happen.
You know my past; You know my future.
Your enveloping presence covers my every move.
Your knowledge of me sometimes comforts me, sometimes frightens me, but it is always far beyond my comprehension.
There is no way to escape You, no place to hide.
If I ascend to the heights of joy, You are there before me.
If I plunge into the depths of despair, You are there to meet me.
I could fly to the other side of the world and find You there to lead the way.
I could walk into the darkest night, only to find You there to lighten its dismal hours.
You were present at my conception.
You guided the molding of my unformed members within the body of my mother.

We have a special guest speaker, Mike Pnieuski, a veteran actor of more than 16 years. You may recognize his face from one of you favorite television shows. Mike has recorded dozens of documentaries, commercials, and audiobooks. His message is pure entertainment. Come join us at 7:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall for fun, food, and fellowship.
