The Communicable Attributes of God, Part 3 of 3

Let God's goodness lead you to repent of your sins and follow close after the Lord Jesus Christ!

We finished up our short mini-series on the communicable attributes of God this morning by looking at what the Bible says about His goodness. God is good! And His goodness ought to lead us all to repentance from sin, and then to a life of following close after Jesus Christ.

We finished up our survey of things to come tonight in our mid-week Bible study. We took a look at the following events:

The Second Coming of Christ
The Millennial (Messianic) Kingdom
The Great White Throne Judgment
The New Creation
Eternity Future

And then we did a quick overview of the Book of Revelation, which is a history book that records the future history of all these things to come. Pretty neat!

The Communicable Attributes of God, Part 2 of 3

God's attributes ought to cause us to fear Him and then to flee to Him... in order to follow Him!

God is a Person (a personal Being) and therefore He has "attributes" (characteristics of how He is). Because of that, part of "knowing God" is learning what He is like—it is growing in our knowledge and understanding of His attributes.

Several of us hunted down a Cinco de Mayo parade and festival today in Kansas City.

Here are some pics.

I was anticipating larger crowds... and more Spanish speakers. Wrong on both accounts! There were a lot of people, but no big crowds for open-air preaching. We did, though, pass out a lot of tracts and we were able to witness to several people (especially Astrid!).
