Our new little prince!

Weighing in at a whopping 6lbs 3/4ozs

Measuring 19 1/2 inches long

His birth was much different than Princess H's.

He was born at 38 weeks and he came very fast!

We arrived at the hospital at 4:32pm and he was born at 5:19pm.

No time for any pain meds which was my biggest fear during this pregnancy but we made it!

We feel blessed to have two healthy kids and now our family is complete!

Princess H is growing up so fast....which I believe is a common phrase most mommies say! She is learning new things everyday and loves testing us as well! She loves playing outside so we are very anxious for the weather to warm up and it is nice for mommy because she sleeps much better after running off all her energy outside! Her new amazing thing that she has learned to do is snap. Can you believe that my 16 month old can snap her fingers?!

sitting in her favorite chair and watching Baby First TV!

Just so darn cute!

As for the family as a whole...we had a wonderful sunny day last week and so we decided to plant a small garden. We will see how well we did in a couple of months. It is the first garden for both of us so if it fails we won't be too sad! D has been working like crazy and just got back to his regular schedule last week. We are so thankful that he has a job that takes good care of us! I am getting bigger and bigger by the moment. It is not the most fun time during pregnancy but it also means that we will be meeting our little guy really soon! Princess H was born exactly 8 weeks from now so I am feeling the need to get things organized and ready to go! He moves around a lot and this mommy is thankful that he lets me sleep at night! We still have not decided on a name yet but we are working on it. D says we had this hard of a time with Princess H's name but I don't remember it being so difficult. As far as my health, I am keeping my high blood pressure under control and have passed all my tests but I do have to see the DR. every week to make sure things don't change. I am very thankful that I am doing well enough that bedrest is not required! I am not sure how I would manage that with a very active 16 month old running around!

Princess H loves to read!

At first she would just pull all of the books off the shelf, then she wanted us to read to her and now she reads to herself or us! It is so cute and I will try and get it on video as soon as I get a chance! For now you have to settle for pictures taken at G-ma and Papa's house!

It has been a pretty rough 10 days in the Haynes household. Princess H started getting a cold and for a week just had a runny nose but Sunday night her fever spiked! It is always scary for parents when their kids are sick and for us it is no different. When our wild and crazy girl just wants to snuggle and cannot get comfortable it is so sad. Monday, I called the nurse and because she had a cold first and then the fever she wanted her to come in so we could make sure she didn't have any kind of infection. We went and found out she didn't have anything. That has to be the most frustrating thing in the whole world. As a mommy you know that something isn't right and you just want to make her feel better. Needless to say we had a very long night on Monday but when Princess woke up on Tuesday morning she was better...not 100% but better. We thought maybe she had kicked it but then after dinner her fever spiked. However, she did sleep well last night but still woke up with a slight fever and spent most of the morning in my lap. She is currently down for a nap so I am hoping that she will wake up and feel even better! As much as she wears me out running crazy, I really hope she starts tearing up the house again real soon! ;o)

We had our 20 week ultrasound this week and to our surprise and delight we found out that we are having a BOY! Our little princess will have a little brother which could not be more perfect and D will have a son! Now we are on a mission to stock up on boy clothes!

We took Harper to the famous Lewiston Locomotive Park a couple of weeks ago and she loved it. She enjoyed the lights but most of all she liked being able to run all over the place.

We can hardly believe that our little one turned one last weekend! She has been such a joy in our lives. D & I were just talking about how we never thought we could love someone so much! She is funny, kind, independent, curious, loving(when she wants to be), fast, loves her books and babies! We are so excited to watch her do and say new things everyday!

Just a few minutes old!

this lasted about two months!

always trying new things

always wanting to show her best side

after her first smile she never stopped!

~some news~

2010-11-07T09:42:00.000-08:00

I am sure you all have heard this before but I am going to recap. D & I have lived a crazy life since we met. Just as we think our lives are slowing down something happens to stir the pot up again. I cannot even believe I am saying this but WE ARE PREGNANT! Yes, I did say it and to write it down even scares me more! We will be a family of 4 around June! We have been talking about it lately and we always said that we wanted more children but I wasn't ready for it to happen this quickly. My biggest fear is that I will be really sick like I was with Princess H. I do not want her to suffer because mommy cannot get off the couch. So please pray that this pregnancy will go smoothly and won't be the same as the last one. I am hoping that because D & I will be under the same roof for this pregnancy and I have many family and friends around to call if needed that my stress levels will stay low and that I will have a great pregnancy. I am currently having some all-day sickness but I am hoping that it is just the first trimester and not everyday until this baby comes. Well, that is our news and please we could use all the prayers we can get! This is going to be a crazy ride both with this pregnancy and having 2 kids under the age of 2! AAAAAHHHHH!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

~milestones~

2010-10-22T16:04:00.000-07:00

Princess H is growing up so fast! I know I will probably say that many times over the next 18 years but it just seems that everyday something new is happening. She reached several milestones in the last 2 weeks that if we aren't careful we might miss something just by blinking!

Princess H's achievements:

Took off walking...she was doing a little bit before we left but she really took off while we were gone. Still a little wobbley but she falls and crawls to something that she can use to stand back up and she is off again
Can now drink through a straw. However, she spits almost all of it out once she gets it in her mouth
She is learning how to share.
Her favorite word to say is 'Hi' but she also says 'da da', 'ma ma', 'ba ba' and when she wants too she will sign more, milk and please. Today she said 'Hi da da!'
She has learned how to take her diaper off so she cannot go without pants.
Once we show her how a toy works she keeps handing it to us so we will do it again!
She is getting her 7th tooth this week!
Loves her blankie and playing peek-a-boo
She is becoming a little more cuddley...she will lay her head on us and pat us.
She is no longer needing to be rocked to sleep.
She loves to SMILE!

~1st family vacation~

2010-10-21T21:15:00.000-07:00

We started our adventure on the Oregon Coast!

The drive was long and Princess H did so well.

We arrived at a beautiful home and settled right in.

We ate at Mo's, shopped the outlet mall, and D went deep sea fishing and that was just in the first three days!

On the fourth day we took Princess H to the aquarium in Newport and boy did she have fun. I was a little nervous that she wasn't old enough but she just took it all in and had a great time.

We took walks on the beach and tried to find Princess H a little bit of the ocean but the beach was so clean. We made mental and picture memories instead!

Before we knew it, it was time to pack our stuff and head to our next stop. Princess H wanted to help us pack up so Daddy decided to stick her in the suitcase. She loved it and didn't want to get out! Our silly little girl!

Our next stop was at the Terry's house in Jefferson. We spent two days with them and Princess H loved playing with Mac (their 2 year old son). I enjoyed catching up with my good friend T and I even talked D into taking me to the outlet mall in Woodburn. Again, our visit went way too fast but many memories were made and hopefully we can get together real soon. I didn't get any pictures and am kicking myself as we speak!

We headed to Seattle so spend some time with my dear friend Kalees and her 4 month old son Kaden. Princess H did really well on this car ride too!

We arrived and headed straight to the Bellevue mall!

Again, another shopping trip for D!

We even visited the mall play area...our first ever and Princess H loved it.

She was all over the place and enjoyed all the kids running around her.
Although fun at the time, we think it might have been the culprit of her and baby K's colds that showed up the next day! ;o(

The next day we did the tourist thing and headed to the Space Needle.

We ate lunch in the rotating restaurant and it was such a fun experience.

The following day we had our first professional family pictures done by a wonderful photographer. We met her through my friend Kalees and she is great! Princess H started out a little crabby but soon became a ham and we cannot wait to see the finished product. Thank you so much Sarah Sweetman...you are awesome!

One night we got the opportunity to babysit Kaden while his momma got a girls night out! He is such a doll and Princess H wanted him to be a little bit more active but she did great with him. I so wish we didn't live so far away but we are trying to plan sometime to visit again!

Well the time came when we had to leave yet another fun visit with friends. We wanted to stay longer but also wanted to get home to our beds and to our puppies. We were gone a total of 10 days and feel blessed that we were able to have wonderful family time. We are even talking about making it an annual vacation.

2010-09-22T13:51:00.000-07:00

We have a house full of sickness this week.
I started getting a cold and ended up with an ear infection. That same night, Princess H started throwing up everywhere which lasted well into the early morning hours. By sunrise she was feeling better in the stomach area but came down with mommy's cold. Now she has a runny nose and is crabby but I think that we are both getting a little better by the hour.

2010-09-15T08:51:00.000-07:00

Our 1st funny poo story:

Saturday we headed to the annual Lewiston Roundup Parade with a detour to Dutch Bros coffee. After getting coffee and heading down to meet my mom to watch the parade, I heard Princess H pooing in her diaper! Now this happens all the time so I told D that when we get parked the first thing we will have to do is change her diaper. She had poo everywhere! Luckly, I had put a onesie under her clothes because it was a bit chilly, it caught most of the stuff and it was all up her back. Well, it wouldn't have been a huge issue except for the fact that I had to figure out how to get the onesie off without getting it all over her. Needless to say she did end up standing in just her socks with poo all over her face, arm, legs and back. Then she decided that she needed to go potty and stood there naked going potty in the back of the jeep all over her socks! We got her all cleaned up and clothes back on and made it on time for parade!

Princess H and her 'crazy' face!

She is learning so much right now!

Some is good...clapping her hands, taking four steps on her own

and giving kisses.

Some is not so good...biting her mommy

and whining when she doesn't get her way.

We have a feisty one on our hands!

We are headed to our 9 month appointment on Monday!

Princess H is growing up so fast I can hardly stand it!

The last couple of days she hasn't been her cheerful self and it was because she was getting another tooth!

Now she has 5 teeth!

Yes, my 8 month old has 5 teeth now...3 on top and 2 on bottom.

Her new tooth broke free yesterday so today she was back to her old self and has become a big HAM. Everytime I went to take her picture she looked at me and gave me that toothy grin so we did a mini action photo session! Here are just a few!
