How To Use Absinthe 2.0 (if you’re unjailbroken):

1. Make a backup of your device in iTunes by right clicking on your device name under the ‘Devices’ menu and click ‘Back Up’.

2. Once your backup is complete return to your device and go to Settings – General – Reset – Erase all Content and Settings. This will make the jailbreak process much faster.

3. Open Absinthe and be sure you are still connected via USB cable to your computer.

4. Click ‘Jailbreak’ and wait…. just be patient and do not disconnect your device.

5. Once jailbroken return to iTunes and restore your backup from earlier. Right click on your device name under the ‘Devices’ menu in the left panel of iTunes and click ‘Restore from Back Up…’ then select the latest backup you created before. (restoring this backup will return all the content previously on your device ie, apps, photos, etc.)

The Times-Picayune, the largest newspaper in New Orleans, said Thursday it would end daily print publication, moving to a schedule of three issues per week, to adapt to “an increasingly digital age.”

The move creates a new company called the NOLA Media Group which will “significantly increase its online news-gathering efforts 24 hours a day, seven days a week, while offering enhanced printed newspapers on a schedule of three days a week,” a statement from the daily said.

“The change is intended to reshape how the New Orleans area’s dominant news organization delivers its award-winning local news, sports and entertainment coverage in an increasingly digital age.”

The newspaper, which traces its history to 1837, will be home-delivered and sold in stores on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The decision signals a change in the way news is delivered to “an increasingly wired New Orleans area audience,” the company said.

“I believe moving to a stronger digital focus positions the new company to continue to serve the needs of our various communities,” said the publisher of The Times-Picayune, Ashton Phelps.

The changes will begin later this year.

“We will continue our 175-year commitment to covering the communities we serve,” editor Jim Amoss said.

“We will deliver our journalism in print, through NOLA.com and on our mobile platforms 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and we invite our readers to become a part of the conversation.”

US newspapers have been grappling with a steep drop in print advertising revenue, steadily declining circulation and the migration of readers to free news online. But more newspapers are developing models for paid online subscriptions or apps for tablets or phones.

A recent survey showed nearly one of seven newspapers read in the United States is now a digital one.

A contingent of border guards has been sent in to help maintain law and order in Tel Aviv neighbourhoods rocked by race riots, a police spokesman said on Friday.

“A unit of border guards comprising 60 men, including 40 police officers, has been deployed in south Tel Aviv to ensure order,” Micky Rosenfeld told AFP.

The riots on Wednesday night in impoverished neighbourhoods around the city’s central bus station erupted when a protest by 1,000 people against the rising number of Africans moving into the area turned violent.

Witnesses described scenes of chaos as demonstrators went on the rampage with sticks and stones, attacking African-run shops and smashing up a car driven by two African men.

Police said afterwards 20 people had been arrested on suspicion of vandalising shops and attacking cars driven by Africans, but added that there were no reports of anyone being injured.

The riots sparked shock in Israel, but also prompted top-level calls for the immediate arrest and expulsion of tens of thousands of African migrants, most of whom originate from Sudan, South Sudan and Eritrea.

Media reports said the rally turned nasty after the crowd was whipped up by several racist speeches by rightwing MPs, several of them from the ruling Likud party of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“The infiltrators are a cancer in our body,” Likud MP Miri Regev told the crowd, as fellow MP Danny Danon shouted: “The infiltrators must be expelled from Israel! Expulsion now!”

Regev’s comments were slammed on Friday by parliamentary speaker Reuven Rivlin, a member of Netanyahu’s Likud party.

“I am shocked by these statements,” Rivlin told public radio. “I was born at the start of World War II and these comments remind me of the hate speech aimed against the Jewish people.”

Interior ministry statistics show there are more than 60,000 African immigrants living illegally in Israel. Some are refugees fleeing persecution back home, while others are economic migrants.

The issue of illegal immigration from Africa has thrown into relief sharp divisions within Israel, with many top officials, including Netanyahu, warning that the growing number of “infiltrators” poses a major threat to the security and identity of the Jewish state.

Netanyahu Thursday issued a statement promising to resolve “the problem of the infiltrators” by sending them back to their home countries in a process which he said would start “soon.”

President Shimon Peres said on Thursday night that “hating foreigners is against the foundations of Judaism.”

But Interior Minister Eli Yishai, who has frequently tried to expel non-Jewish immigrants sparking accusations of racism, demanded that all Africans living illegally in Israel be put “behind bars.”

Thousands of protesters returned to the streets across Quebec late Thursday in defiance of a new law regulating demonstrations and despite the arrest of some 1,000 protesters this week.

The latest protests came after the Canadian province’s government invited student groups to talks in a bid to end more than three months of demonstrations over a proposed university tuition hike.

In Montreal, thousands of residents hit the streets at 8:00 pm Thursday (0000 GMT), banging pots and pans and chanting against Law 78, a measure passed last week requiring activists to notify police ahead of demonstrations.

The students were joined by retirees as well as families with children, all marching in a festive atmosphere. “(Quebec Premier Jean) Charest, you are the pot and we are the spoon!” one banner read.

At least three separate processions were under way, with protesters chanting: “The special law, we will win!” despite an appeal from Montreal’s mayor for residents to remain at home and bang pots on their balconies.

Demonstrator Katie Nelson, 19, who traveled across the country from her home in the Alberta province to support the protests, said she did not fear arrest or the fines, which start at $600.

“Being fined for protesting and demonstrating is silly. I am not afraid of being arrested for fighting for democracy,” she said, adding that she expects Law 78 to be ruled unconstitutional.

A similar demonstration attended by some 500 people was held in the provincial capital Quebec City, and other demonstrations were reported elsewhere in the province.

As with previous demonstrations, police declared the protests illegal but said they would not seek to disperse them unless there was violence.

The provincial government had earlier Thursday invited the student groups to a new round of talks, which could be held as soon as early next week, according to the head of one of the student unions.

Protests, some of which have turned violent, have raged for more than three months against a plan by provincial premier Charest’s government to raise annual tuition fees at Quebec universities by 82 percent, or $1,700, with the increase gradually introduced over five years.

Montreal police had said that Wednesday night’s unsanctioned protest would be tolerated if there was no trouble, but after some unruly behavior around midnight, they moved in and arrested 518 demonstrators.

Another 176 people were detained in Quebec City. All were issued with a fine exceeding $600 and released early Thursday, a police spokesman said.

It was the first time that law enforcement conducted such a large mass arrest in the French-speaking province.

On Sunday night and early Monday morning some 300 people were arrested and 10 injured in a night of clashes between Montreal police and demonstrators.

واليساريين الذيم يعتقدون انه سينهي الاستقطاب بين الاحزاب الدينية والمدنية الذي
ظهر بعد اسقاط مبارك.
ويقول الطبيب البالغ من العمر 61 عاما انه مرشح الثورة التي اطاحت حسني مبارك
مؤكدا ان رموز نظامه مثل الامين العام السابق للجامعة العربية عمرو موسى او اخر
رئيس وزراء في عهده احمد شفيق لا ينبغي ان يخوض سباق الرئاسة.
ولقي ابو الفتوح دعم الجماعة الاسلامية وهي تنظيم اسلامي متشدد كان يتبنى
العمل المسلح عند نشأته في سبعينات القرن الماضي وشارك في موجة العنف الاسلامي في
الثمانينات والتسعينات.
بل ان هذا التنظيم نفذ محاولة اغتيال شهيرة ضد مبارك في اديس ابابا عام 1995
ولكن قياداته قامت في نهاية التسعينات بمراجعات فكرية واعلنت نبذها العنف.
كما ان ابو الفتوح يحظى بدعم حزب النور السلفي الذي حقق مفاجأة في الانتخابات
التشريعية الاخيرة بفوزه بقرابة 20 بالمئة من مقاعد مجلس الشعب.
غير ان ابو الفتوح حصل كذلك على تأييد جزء من الشباب الذين شاركوا في
الانتفاضة ضد مبارك العام الماضي.
وكتب المدون والناشط وائل غنيم على حسابه على تويتر اخيرا مؤيدا ابو الفتوح
“لاسباب عدة اهمها انه سيكون رئيس كل المصريين الذين يوحدهم ولا يفرقهم”.
واكتسب وائل غنيم شهرته بعد الانتفاضة لانه اطلق موقع “كلنا خالد سعيد” على
شبكة الانترنت التي دعت مع حركات شبابية الدعوة الى “ثورة 25 يناير (كانون
الثاني)”.
غير ان اخرين يرون ان ابو الفتوح بالغ في سعيه لتوسيع قاعدته الانتخابية واعطى
وعودا مختلفة لقطاعات مختلفة من المجتمع في حين يشكك اخرون في حديثه عن الحريات
العامة ويعتقدون انه اكثر محافظة مما يقوله علنا.
وركز ابو الفتوح في حملته على حق الرعاية الصحية والتعليم لكل المصريين وعلى
الحريات الشخصية كذلك.
وقال في مقابلة تلفزيونية اخيرا “عندما يسمع الناس كلمة شريعة يظنون فورا ان
هذا معناه ان السيدات سيرغمن على ارتداء الحجاب وان السياحة ستلغى ولكنهم لا
يفكرون في الجوانب الرائعة للشريعة التي تكفل الحريات الفردية والعدل والتنمية”.
ويترأس ابو الفتوح حاليا اتحاد الاطباء العرب الذي يقوم بأعمال اغاثة وقدم
خدمات انسانية لغزة وليبيا وسوريا اثناء النزاعات.
وفي مقابلة تلفزيونية اخرى، وصف اسرائيل بأنها “دولة عنصرية” وقال ان معاهدة
السلام التي وقعتها مصر مع اسرائيل في 1979 “تهديد للامن القومي” ويجب مراجعتها.
عرف ابو الفتوح في 1977 اثر مواجهة كلامية مع الرئيس الاسبق انور السادات الذي
قال له ابو الفتوح امام عدسات التلفزيون انه محاط بالمنافقين الذين يخفون عنه
الحقائق.
انضم ابو الفتوح الى جماعة الاخوان المسلمين في شبابه واصبح عضوا في مكتب
الارشاد (المكتب السياسي) في 1987 غير انه انشق عن الجماعة العام الماضي عندما
رفضت ترشيحه لرئاسة الجمهورية.
وحصل ابو الفتوح على اجازة في القانون اثناء وجوده في السجن في النصف الثاني
من التسعينات.
ولابو الفتوح ستة ابناء من زوجته الطبيبة عاليا خليل.

The barrage of anti-gay sermons delivered by North Carolina-based pastors to hit the blogosphere continues with yet another disturbing rant caught on tape.

The pastor, identified on YouTube as Charles L. Worley of Providence Road Baptist Church in Maiden, N.C., condemns President Obama’s much-publicized endorsement of same-sex marriage while calling for gays and lesbians to be put in an electrified pen and ultimately killed off.

“Build a great, big, large fence — 150 or 100 mile long — put all the lesbians in there,” Worley suggests in the clip, reportedly filmed on May 13.

He continues: “Do the same thing for the queers and the homosexuals and have that fence electrified so they can’t get out…and you know what, in a few years, they’ll die out…do you know why? They can’t reproduce!”

He also said that if he’s asked who he’ll vote for, he’ll reply, “I’m not going to vote for a baby killer and a homosexual lover!” Many of the congregants cheer and reply, “Amen.”

Worley added, “It makes me pukin’ sick to think about — I don’t even whether or not to say this in the pulpit — can you imagine kissing some man?”

The pastor’s comments seem in line with statements made by Ron Baity, founding pastor of Berean Baptist Church in Winston-Salem and head of the anti-marriage equality organization Return America, who told his own congregation that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people should be prosecuted as they were historically, and Pastor Sean Harris of the Berean Baptist Church in Fayetteville who advocated parents “punch” their male child if he is effeminate and “crack that wrist” if he is limp-wristed.

Similarly, Tim Rabon, pastor at Raleigh’s Beacon Baptist Church, condemned states such as Massachusetts, Connecticut and Maryland which have already “re-defined” marriage to include lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) couples before asking his congregatnts, “What is stopping them from refining marriage from a person and a beast? We’re not far from that.”
