Video Settings
Windows: Choose Start on the Windows taskbar and select Settings > Control Panel. Double-click the Display icon, then choose the Settings tab. Make sure that your screen area is set to 1024x768 or higher and that color is set to 16-bit color or better.

Macintosh: Check the Display applet in System Preferences to make sure that colors are set to millions and that resolution is set to 1024x768 or higher.

Installation Types
The DVD offers three installation choices:

Typical
The Typical installation type installs the program files, articles, and images on your hard drive. While running Britannica, you will need a Data Disc in your drive to view some of the content. This is the default installation type.

Full
The Full installation type installs the program and all data files on your hard drive. A Full installation allows you to run Britannica without using any Data Discs after installation.

Custom
The Custom installation type allows you to choose which components you would like to install. By default, only the Application and Images are selected for installation. You can choose which components will be installed on your hard drive. If you choose all of the components, you will not need the Data Disc(s) while using Britannica. Choose as many or as few components as you like, but be sure to check beforehand to make sure you have sufficient hard-drive space before continuing.

Note: More or less hard-drive space may be required depending on your particular system and hard drive. Be sure to leave extra free space after the Britannica installation.

Installing the Software

Follow the steps below to install Britannica on your computer.
1. Startup: Load the first Britannica Data Disc (or the data DVD) into your CD/DVD drive.

Windows: If the Britannica installation program does not automatically start, choose Start and Run from the Windows Taskbar. Use the Browse button to find and select install.exe on the disc.

Macintosh: Open the Britannica Disc icon on your Desktop and double-click install.

2. Introduction: Click Next to continue.

3. Readme: Review the Readme file, which contains notes about the program, troubleshooting tips, etc., and click Next to proceed. The file will be accessible later via the Britannica program folder.

4. Serial Number: Type the 16-digit serial number. Click Next.

5. License Agreement and Limited Warranty: You must agree to the terms of the License Agreement in order to proceed with the installation. Read and check the box marked "I accept the terms of the License Agreement" and click Next to proceed.

6. Choose Install Folder: Accept the default location (fine for most purposes) by clicking Next. Or, click Choose... if you wish to select a different location.

7. Choose Product Features: Choose one of the three Installation Types described above, then click Next:

8. Pre-Installation Summary: Verify that the information displayed is correct. Click Next.

9. Installation: Wait as Britannica files are installed.

10. Finish: If you are prompted to restart your computer, select Yes and click Finish.

If the Readme checkbox is marked, the Readme file is displayed when the setup is finished. To print the Readme, open its File menu and choose Print; to close the Readme, open the File menu and choose Exit.

11. After Installing Britannica, please remove and safely store the Data Disc(s).

12. To start the Britannica program, double-click the Britannica icon on your Desktop (Windows) or in the Britannica 12.0 folder (Macintosh). To refer to a user's guide with more complete instructions, open the Help menu within the program.

Starting the Program
Windows: The Britannica installation program installs the program and program icons in a Program Files\\Britannica 12.0\\ directory, unless you choose another location. You can start Britannica by opening the Start menu and choosing Programs > Britannica 12.0 then clicking the Encyclopaedia Britannica DVD icon to start the program. In addition, a Britannica shortcut icon is provided on your Windows Desktop; double-click it to run the program.

Macintosh: Double-click the Britannica program icon on your Desktop. Or, double-click on your hard drive, then click Applications > Britannica 12.0 (double-click the Britannica icon to start the program).

Performance Issues when Virus Scanners is Running
If your system has a virus scanner running in the background, the performance of the Britannica program may be severely degraded. This is due to the 'Active Scan' feature of anti-virus attempting to read Britannica's compressed data files at the same time as the Britannica program itself. In most cases, disabling this feature will alleviate the performance issues. However, some customers may need to completely disable the virus scanner whenever the Britannica program is in use. For more information on this issue, please consult our Technical Support Web Site.

Tricks to have your taskbar centered like in the image above.

All you need to do is unlock the taskbar and right click on it go to toolbars/add new, and them make a new folder somewhere and call it blank for example, then select that folder for your new toolbar.

You then need to right click on the new toolbar and select view text/title and deselect those 2 options now repeat all those steps(you can use the same blank folder again) and place the blank toolbars on either side of your main Taskbar group and slide the taskbar to a central position.

Once you have it where you want lock the taskbar again (note that it move a little when you lock the taskbar so some fine tuning may be needed), and now you have a centered Taskbar.

If you like you can also make the blank folder hidden to remove it from view.

Taskbar will not display middle bar if you have your options set to never combine.

Always combine, hide labels should be selected.

Also if you are using any extra Toolbars you need to make sure they are displaying small icons, but only if you have them all on a single row, if you have your taskbar expanded to 2 bars it will display normally again.

Procedure :
1. Be sure to patch your system with Universal Theme Patcher to allow 3rd party themes to be installed.

2. After patch, extract and open MIDNIGHT GLASS NATURE THEME then click theme file. That's it!

3. Download Full Glass Blue Icons.

4. Download 7tsp. Open, look for the FULL GLASS pack then patch. Reboot.

1. Activation
The trial period is of 30 days and can be renewed with the program "App\ReARM.exe" (the application is invisible) or with the menu "App\P_MO14 Menu.bat".
2. The restoration of files associations
It is possible to restore the files associations of Office 2010. Option available by the menu "App\P_MO14 Menu.bat".
To delete associations, deleteor rename the folder containing the portable suite and execute any program capable of correcting the errors of the registry.
3. "App\P_MO14-M.exe" or "App\P_MO14-AIO.exe"
These two "big" files are "conteners" files and contain the base of the portable suite. They can be executed by two different ways:
-1. A simple execution open "CMD" in the virtual environment.
-2. Executing this file with an argument will have the effect of executing the argument in the virtual environment. A simple drag and drop works.
4. Restore the configuration by default
Just delete the "Data" folder. Any internal modifications to the program will be lost.
5. A Microsoft Office 2010 product is already installed.
Before launching one of the PORTABLE Microsoft Office 2010 programs, please stop the OSPPSVC service.
To stop the service, open the window "Run..." and enter "net stop osppsvc " then validate.
Note that the script of renewal of the trial period closes automatically this service.

Lock And Password Protect Folder In Windows 8 / 7

Do you want to lock and password protect your important folders in Windows 7 or Windows 8? If you are an administrator and have multiple accounts set up in Windows 7 and Windows 8, then you can block few important folders so that they can not be accessed by other users. Every time the blocked folder will be accessed, it will ask for administrator password. Therefore the folder will be locked permanently unless you don’t remove the lock yourself.

To lock a folder, right-click on that folder and select Properties. Now navigate to Security tab, and click Edit as shown in the screenshot below.

A new window will pop-up, now under “Group and User Names”, select the user from the list whom you want to deny access to a specific folder, now under “Permissions for Users” check the Deny checkbox next to Modify(all other checkbox will get ticked automatically) as shown in the screenshot below.

Click OK and then click Yes when a Windows Security window will pops-up as shown in the screenshot below.

Now click OK again and you are done. Now the specific user that you selected from the list will be denied access to this folder. If you find it hard to change file access permission for specific users each time you want to password protect a folder, have a look at LocK A FoldeR, an application for Windows that lets you password protect folders with a click. For the first time usage, it asks you to enter the master password to prevent others from accessing the application.

Just enter the password to open main interface. Now, click Lock a Folder, enter the master password, select the folder(s) you want to lock, and then click Lock it!.

This will immediately password protect the folder and hide it from source location. To unlock the folder, launch the application, and click UnLock a Folder. It will ask you to enter master password, and then show all the locked folders. Just select the folder you want to unlock, and then click Unlock It!. It’s that simple!

LocK A FoldeR works on Windows XP, Windows 7 32&64 bit and Windows 8. Testing was done on Windows 8 64-bit edition.
